WHAT TO WEAR WHEN YOU WANT TO CELEBRATE
It is time to start the celebration!!! Yes, it is Saturday, which is a great reason, but that is NOT why I am celebrating. Today, 34 years ago, in Texas, Joe and I went to City Hall and became husband and wife! We were sitting on a bench outside of the judge’s chambers, and I remember a man came walking down the hall and started to hum Taps when he saw us. Lol!
Gracious, where did the time go? It has been a blurry 34 years, with only a handful of really clear memories that stand out. There have been moments of sheer joy and bliss, moments of heartbreak and sadness, and lots of arguments and disagreements. I see many couples who celebrate their anniversary by writing sweet notes to each other, some go out for fancy dinners, some get roses sent to them, and some buy each other expensive gifts. We are not those people. Lol! Instead, I am going to bake Joe his favorite cake, he is going to play golf, and then we will have a nice dinner and say CHEERS as we celebrate another year with the one that we didn’t know we needed, but now couldn’t live without.
So, I hope that you all will understand that I am going to take the day off. Instead of a long post, I will give you the links to the item and tell you the size that I am wearing.
The CHEERS short sleeve tee is white with gold embroidery. I am wearing a large, and it fits great. You can wear this tee for an occasion that you want to celebrate, such as birthdays, anniversary, New Year’s Eve, a promotion, or the birth of a new grandbaby!
I love wearing velvet for special occasions. It is rich and elegant looking, and so luxurious feeling. The black velvet blazer is one that I will wear this Christmas, and there is even a dark green version of this jacket that would look great. I am wearing a size 12 in the blazer, and it fits me perfectly.
The tweed handbag with gold trim and a convertible gold chain is one that I bought last year at Chico’s. It is no longer available, but I’ll find some similar ones for you.
The black and gold metallic high heels are a pair that I bought last year, and they are by Jessica Simpson. I am wearing a size 9 in the shoes, which is my usual size. I have found that shoes by Jessica Simpson run true to size. Here are some other heels in black and gold.
I love Mavi jeans, and if you haven’t tried a pair yet, then do yourself a favor and grab a pair. These are the Alexa Supersoft Skinny Jeans, and I love the color and the fit. I am wearing my usual size 30 and the 28″ inseam.
If you have not checked out the new JACK line from Kendra Scott, then take a few minutes and look at all of the gorgeous jewelry in this line. I am wearing the Jack Small Gold Statement earrings and the Jack cuff bracelet in multi-color. I am also wearing my usual two short gold vermeil necklaces. The shortest one is an engraved Elisa necklace that says TANIA, and the longer one is a gold vermeil thin chain and a gold vermeil cross charm.
