WHAT TO WEAR WHEN LIFE GIVES YOU LEMONS
When you get a ton of lemons, you better learn how to make lemonade. I am up to my eyeballs in lemons, so it looks like I’ll be drinking lots and lots of lemonade. A company out of London has been helping me with my blog since last December. They fixed the issue that I was having last year with my emails, so they decided to see if they could help me to recapture my missing posts.
The good news was that they did have the backup information that I needed. The bad news is that it isn’t an easy process to get everything back in the right spots. So, one post might have another post’s picture as the “featured” photo. That took me a tiny bit of time to get straightened back up. Then, I am sure many of you might have gone a duplicate email from the post that I did on Monday. I am sorry that you got the additional email. I am crossing my fingers that everything is now fixed and that there won’t be any more glitches this week. Because, to tell you the truth, I am getting sick of lemonade. Lol!
I couldn’t resist wearing this lemon shirt today from Chico’s. I wore a similar yellow shirt from Ann Taylor Factory (here) that had a floral design, instead of the lemons. Even though these shirts have a similar color pattern, they are quite different. This top is a no-iron linen shirt, which helps to keep the shirt wrinkle-free unless you tie it up for hours as I’ve done here. Also, this top is much thicker than the other top. Unfortunately, this top has been a top seller, and they are almost completely sold out. The good news is, that if you wear a small, then you can get this shirt for a fabulous price. Otherwise, I’ll link to some other linen shirts that have more sizes available.
Take my word for this…order these So Slimming Girlfriend Crops right NOW! I love these pants, and I am always pulling them out to wear. I loved them so much, that I went in and ordered the other two colors that they are available in. The crops are on sale right now for $39.00, and you can’t find a better deal than that. The two darker colored crops don’t have the distressing, so for those of you who are not fans of distressing, you will be happy. I am wearing a size .5 in these jeans, and they fit me snug, but I love the way that they fit.
I love these mustard colored block heels from Ann Taylor. One of the straps is suede looking, and the other is a matte leather look. I like the two different textures that give the shoes some visual interest. These shoes will be perfect for the rest of the summer and into the fall. Mustard is one of my favorite fall colors, and I can see myself wearing these with a pair of flared jeans. I am wearing my usual size 9 in these, and they fit me great.
Sorry for the wrinkles, but I decided to un-tie the shirt so that you could get an idea of the length of the shirt in case you didn’t want to tuck it in your pants or tie it up as I did. You know what they say about hindsight, in looking back at these posts, it would have been smart of me to have taken the photos of the shirt untucked, and THEN tied it in the front. Lol! So much for my 20/20 hindsight.
I thought that you might want to see the length of this lemon shirt from the backside. As you can see, it is plenty long to wear over a pair of leggings so that you don’t show your rear. I think that this shirt would look great with a pair of navy leggings, and I might try that look the next time.
I didn’t mention the jewelry that I am wearing. It is a mixture of jewelry from several different stores. The hoop earrings are from Lilly Pulitzer, the neutral bead bracelet is from Chico’s, the LOVE necklace is from The Styled Collection, and the long delicate necklace is from Kendra Scott. That just goes to show you that you can mix jewelry from all price points and stores.

Psalm 121:1-2
1 I lift up my eyes to the mountains— where does my help come from? 2 My help comes from the Lord, the Maker of heaven and earth.
Question on how you leave the back of the shirt when you tie it in front. Do you leave it long or tuck it up? I love it tied in front. Thanks for your post!
Ginger, it depends on how long the shirt is. This one was long, so I tucked it up underneath.
The comment I just left was meant for today’s(Friday, June 26th post! Don’t know what day it is half the time anyway, lol!).
Sorry! Forgot that I had clicked on “load more posts!”
Oh well…
Just love your posts! This whole outfit is so cute! Particularly love the bag and the earrings.
I appreciate all the resources for shopping!
Thanks and have a great weekend!
Beautiful! Love this lemon shirt and the jeans also
Hi Tania. Just wanted you to know that I am one of your loyal readers! Love your lemon shirt. I think the untied look is my favorite.
Thanks for commenting, Jennifer. I love hearing from everyone.
Cute top! I’ve been admiring the earrings from Lily Pulitzer and finally ordered them.
Yay!!! I bet you will love them, they are so pretty!
Love the look! And just ordered the jeans on your say-so. 🙂
I bet that you will be happy with your purchase.
I love this top, and it is a great length. I am sorry for your challenges, but I am glad you let us know, I thought I was having problems with my email . ????
Here’s hoping your lemonade, turns to sweet tea.
I think that they are finally finished with all of the tinkering, so hopefully, everything will be back to normal.
I love this shirt! I’m a fan of chicos but sometimes the shoulder width is a bit much for me. I know I’ll have to settle because they will be sold out but I’m inspired to have a lemon shirt. I’m not having any problems now but early on I did. Your blog is worth a little trouble now and then. I just love it.
I’m a huge fan of Chico’s also. It takes a little time to figure out the sizing, but then you are good to go.
Thank you for the Bible Verse. Very cute outfit on you.
Beautiful! Love this outfit on you. I love Chico’s – wish they would come up to Canada!
Love the look! I also love that you are sitting in the post from yesterday and today. Sometimes we need to see what clothes look like in a seated position. I love your blog and I’m sure none of your followers subscribe because of your expert computer skills lol!
Sitting is hard to take a photo. Things bunch up, and you have to keep adjusting to get it where you can even see the outfit.
Just letting you know I am getting 2 emails a day, one at 1:01 am and 6:59 am. This has been since you changed your format last time. I thought you might want to know!
Rhonda, that means that you are signed up in two different spots. I can cancel the one that you get later in the morning for you. Let me know if that is what you want.
I really like this lemon shirt. Belks has a ton of them in their store. It isn’t the exact same print, of course, but it is the same style shirt. I will have to try the jeans also. It seems like none of us are exempt from the lemonade even in the course of day to day life.
I love the lemon shirt too. It just seems appropriate for this year. Lol!
love this happy refreshing outfit!!!!!!!!!!
Think lemoncello!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Went to website and sadly they don’t have my size!
Lemoncello sounds amazing!!!
