WHAT TO WEAR ON THE WEEKEND
Did anyone get the blizzard that was predicted? My daughter sent me a short video of her work and roads. Since she lives in Alaska that doesn’t count. I haven’t seen enough snow this year to even make a bowl of snow cream. Do any of you make snow cream? That had to be one of my favorite things to do as a child. Sledding was alright but you got wet and really cold doing that activity. I could run outside and grab a huge tub of snow and be back inside in 3 minutes flat. You always had to remember to rake off the top layer of snow but I never could figure out why.
And I also remember having to break off the biggest icicle I could find and eat on that. That sounds crazy to me now, that thing had to be filthy! It was made from running water off the roof which has asphalt, mold, and probably lots of bird crap all over it. No wonder I turned out the way I did, I have bird crap running through my veins. Lol!!!
Let’s face it gurl’s, we don’t want to get all “dressed up” every day. I think I heard a chorus of AMENS! This was my look on Saturday. This would probably be what I would think would be a typical look for most of you on the weekend, a pair of jeans and a t-shirt. I don’t normally work on Saturday so I don’t usually get all gussied up. I had on the white long sleeve t-shirt and jeans and was just working on my reports (no they still aren’t done.) Joe needed to have a piece of equipment taken to our country club and the gentleman that was working at the lumber company needed to take it over to them. I got called into duty, ugh! I don’t normally wait on the counter so I dreaded going out there. We were surprisingly busy for a Saturday afternoon but thankfully I knew what most of the items where and how to bring them up on the computer. Back to my outfit……Anyway, I wanted to make my outfit a little more work friendly so I grabbed a cardigan, a bright scarf, and of course some jewelry.
How do you like the white stitching on these jeans? I like how the white pops off of the dark blue in the jeans. This pair is one that I bought at Maurices, they are the Chelsea by Vigoss. The darker wash jeans always have a dressier look than a light colored pair.
The dark green cardigan is a Liz Claiborne that I bought at the overstock store in town. I am a sucker when it comes to a cable knit design in a sweater. That is a classic pattern and it will probably never go out of style. You could even button this sweater and wear a dress blazer over the sweater for an even nicer look. That is how outfits are made, you just keep adding and changing items until you are satisfied. The next time you wear the sweater you might want to wear it with a pair of khaki pants. That would really make the green show up.
I am getting closer and closer to hitting the email subscribers 5000 mark!!! Once we hit the magic number I will be having a giveaway! I am going broke with giveaways!
