WHAT IS ONE OF THE BIGGEST TRENDS OF 2020
I should know better than to ask a question of you gurls. Lol! Yesterday, I did a Chico’s try-on session (here), and instead of uploading all photos, I uploaded all the videos. Usually, when I do these sessions, I’ll do a short video, and then flip to the camera and take a few photos. I upload the pictures to the blog, and then I upload the small videos to my Instagram stories. Yesterday, I decided to experiment.
In all honesty, this came about purely by accident. I filmed all of the videos last Sunday after Emersyn, and I got home from church. I ran by Walmart for my doormat (here), and I bought her that cute little unicorn outfit to put on once we got to the house. Emersyn was watching a movie, so I started doing my try-on session in my bedroom. Before I got the first video finished, Emersyn had already come into the room to join me.
She is a hoot and a mess all rolled into one big ball of cuteness. But, I got so involved in talking to her that I forgot to take the photos. I didn’t even realize that I had only done videos until it came time to do the blog post. So, I decided to adapt and overcome like a good soldier. I loved the feedback from everyone, and I realized that you can’t make everyone completely happy. But, going forward, I think that I will still do the photos (if I can remember to take them) and then link to one long video of all of the outfits together. You can choose the method that you like best. Come to think of it; maybe you can make everyone happy after all. Haha!
How do you like this striped sweater for the Loft Outlet? According to all of the websites that are predicting trends for 2020, it looks like stripes are at the top of the list. This striped sweater is so cute, and I think that it looks very expensive…but it’s not. The weave of the sweater is very tight, and it feels very substantial and high quality. You might not be a “red” person, but this sweater gives you a lot of other colors to be the focus. You have lots of colors in this sweater, including white, navy, red, burgundy, and hot pink. I like the buttons at the hem of the sleeve, and I think details like that are what makes the sweater look expensive. I am wearing a medium in the sweater, and I think that it fits me perfectly. I have on a pair of Kendra Scott earrings that were a free item. They had a sale a couple of weeks ago that said if you buy “this” amount, then you got a pair of free earrings. I love the geometric style, and I found a couple of other earrings that had a similar design that I’ll link to below. The cuff bracelet is one that I am loving. It is called the Fallyn, and I love the entwined design. I put this on, and then I squeeze it tight on my wrist to make sure that it doesn’t fall off. It is way too pretty to lose. The pretty red shoes that I am wearing today are from the Loft Outlet. These have bows across the top and are mules; I didn’t get a good photo of them by themselves. They run true to size, and I am wearing my usual size 9, which seems to fit great. I am still trying to adapt to mules, but they are still hard for me to get used to. My DIL and my SIL both love wearing mules, so I am going to keep wearing them. Let me hear your thoughts. Do you love mules, or do you have trouble walking in them like me? The sweater colors looks great on you, I am not a huge fan of stripes but this might change my mind. Love that you added the red shoes. I can’t really do the mules because i need some kind of arch support.

I have never been able to wear mules. My feet are slightly narrow, size 6 1/2, and I cannot keep mules on my feet. If they are cut up very high on the foot, I may.be able to wear them.
Great outfit. Love the red. I’m still not sure about horizontal stripes on me……but they sure look good on your. And I love your jeans too. I am not a fan of mules either. Just hard to walk in them. I know mules are the trend but I can’t jump on the bandwagon. Mules slip with me when I walk…I constantly feel like I am off balance. Not a good feeling at my age. I want, and need, stability when walking, especially for long periods of time. P.s. I enjoyed the videos yesterday but I will read your posts no matter the way you present them.
Mules are hard for me to keep on my feet also. You have to use your toes to grip the shoes to keep them from flying across the room. Lol!
I guess that I’ve been “in style” for several years now. Stripes have been my go-to look for the past 4-5 years! (In fact, I’m trying an animal print today because I felt that I have been wearing too many stripes!) At least I’m prepared for this season. 😉
