Kayla, my DIL, and I arrived safely in Asheville. I wish that I had filmed our drive up to the Grove Park Inn. I don’t know what I was expecting, but it is so over the top impressive that my mouth was hanging open.
The lobby was just as impressive. I’ll be sure and take photos to share with you next week. The fireplace is humongas, and the elevator that took us to our room was built into the fireplace. There is an elevator operator, and you can only have four guests in the elevator at a time. Kayla and I are are so busy trying to take it all in that I can’t even start to describe everything.
Before I even begin, I’m going to apologize because this shirt is all sold out. I bought mine in the J.Jill store, so maybe you can call your local store and ask them if it is in stock. I loved the softness of this shirt and the pintuck design, but the frayed hem was my favorite detail. I’m wearing a small in the tunic, and it fits great. Here are a few other chambray tops that you might like.
Here is a look from the back so you can see the length of this tunic.
The Dani Convertible Gold Triple Strand Necklace in Sea Green Chrysocolla is gorgeous and versatile. Each strand can be unlatched, so you can wear one or two strands, or all three. I love versatile items, and this one will be great to wear all year round. I’m also wearing my AVI earrings and the 18 Kt. Gold Vermeil Cross Necklace. I added three Rivera Stretch Bracelets in the neutral mix. The bracelets will go with dressy or casual items and match almost anything. J.Jill has a special running through May 24th of a BOGO half off on bracelets.
On days where I’m running errands or going shopping, I love carrying a crossbody handbag. The convenience of this bag is fantastic, and I love that you can wear this across your chest and go hands free.
This is the Anna Foldover Clutch Crossbody In Signature Jacquard With Stripes in Gold/Taffy. The inside is nice and roomy, and there are slots for credit cards, etc.
These Extrasoft Chinos are true to their name! They are so soft, and they feel great against my skin. I’m wearing light khaki, but there is a darker brown color also. These chinos fit slim, and they are a tad tight on me. I’m wearing an 8, and I think that a 10 would be too loose.
Here is the front of the pants. I like the button pockets, but I would probably wear the pockets unbuttoned most of the time.
Thanks for all of your suggestions on place to see and visit while I’m in Asheville. If I don’t get to go to all of them on this trip, I’ll try to hit them on the next trip. If you know of a place that I need to come and visit, be sure to leave me a comment. We are always looking for cool and interesting places to go.
