When in Doubt, What Do You Wear?
I survived the weekend!!! My feet are really, really, tired because I only sat down once (to eat) from 6:30 a.m. to 6:30 p.m. I know what you are thinking, “Do want a little cheese with that wine”? Why, yes, I believe I do. LOL!
Good to know! I just thought I needed a little pick-me-up. I (now) love wearing red, but it has not always been that way. In fact, I never owned anything red, probably till I was around 30. Or, if I owned something red, I rarely wore it. The reason had nothing to do with my skin tone, the color, or anything reasonable. Instead, it was simply because I was shy, and I thought if I wore red, people would look at me. How funny is that since I have now started a blog, a Facebook page, an Instagram page, and I upload my pictures to Pinterest almost daily. I think I might be cured. Hahaha
This cardigan really pops in this outfit. I have worn is several times over the past few years, it is the perfect red. I bought this one from J.C. Penny, and it is Worthington brand. I like the longer style cardigans, I think they help me look taller and thinner. The short cropped cardigans, or sweaters, cut you in half, making you look shorter. I am wearing the cardi over a Van Heusen blue stripped button down shirt. This shirt was purchased last year when I went to the Vintage Fashion Show in Atlanta. I love that it doesn’t need to be ironed.
The necklace’s were made by my talented co-worker. I gave her the keys, and she made the necklaces. We encourage her to sell her things on Etsy, but she likes giving them away. She is the sweetest thing ever. Did you even notice the bracelet? It is an old key that I gave her, and she bent it to fit around my wrist. It is my favorite bracelet. The only problem with it, is the clasp. I need to buy her some magnet closures, I have all kinds of trouble putting on bracelets by myself.
The real show stopper was these cute shoes. I bought them on my trip to Atlanta at a place called the Glitzy Chicks. They sold the shoes, and I had them monogrammed with my initials. No, they are not converse, but I think they are adorable. My husband on the other hand, thinks they are hideous. What does he know???
I know I am just asking for trouble, wearing these extremely distressed jeans. I bought these at Cato’s this past August. I love these, but I usually save them for the weekends. But, since I work in a lumber company, I don’t feel the need to “dress up” everyday.
I want to wish everyone a Happy Thanksgiving week. The countdown has started, food-topia is about to begin. While this may not be the best timing, I am wanting to lose some weight. I need help, so I hope you guys will be my encouragement. More details to come in the next few days. There goes my cheese and wine…..

I have been looking for a jelly green purse for months (that I can afford) where did you get yours love it!!!!
I know this is an older post, but this outfit gave mevlife! I dont usually wear red, but I’m loving this. So cute, diva-ish and appropriate! I recently list 80+ pounds and I’m a casual type with an addiction to word t shirts, bracelets and bags. Your blog gives me ideas and new direction! Thanks for sharing and your sacrifice and commitment! And your family is beautiful! Peace, blessings, love and joy!
WOW!!! Congrats on the weight loss! I am so glad you have found my little blog and are enjoying it.
I always wear blue when I don’t know what to wear. I am racking my brain trying to remember if I own anything red! Well, things with Bucky Badger on them don’t count.
LOVE your monogramed sneakers!! And, love the quote from Bill Blass – oh so true!! Thank you for linking up with SHOE AND TELL on Style Nudge!!

Tania, still shy about posting an outfit but I will do one day soon. I am writing because even though I have successfully subscribed to your blog, I do not get notification emails at all. This forces me to go back in time each time I log on and remember to look at your blog. Did I do something wrong when I signed up or do you not send daily notifications? I am a fan and you continue to supply my weekly outfit fixes!
Debbie, I had another reader say they were having trouble with the sign up notifications. I added a button to this mornings blog to try to fix the problem. Let me know, if you can signup again, if this works.
Love the red sweater on you and the shoes are too cute!!
I can totally relate in that I hated attention in any way so used to hide away in black. Red is a stunning colour, you’ve chosen a shade of red that’s perfect for you! Love how you’ve chosen a bright green bag with your outfit.
Your outfit made me smile when I saw it! I think you dress adorable and your personality simply cracks me up!
Awww, thanks Kimberly!
This is a fabulous look! I’ve always felt the same about red but it looks beautiful with the striped shirt. And don’t ever listen to husbands when it comes to shoes. They think one black pair is sufficient for everything.
One black, one brown, and if your lucky, one navy pair????
