WEARING FLATS WITH JEANS

I can’t believe that I am going to say this….again. I am on the road today. Is that starting to sound like a broken record or maybe like the movie, “Groundhog Day” where the same thing keeps happening over and over and over? For someone who never traveled much and was more a homebody, I sure have been putting in the miles lately. Today I am headed to the Atlanta area to visit for a few days with my sista! I can’t wait to have a little sister time; we don’t get to see each other near enough. Although, we do talk on the phone almost daily, and according to our husbands, waaaay too much. Lol! I can usually hear her husband in the background asking who she is talking to, and when she answers that it is me, then he will say, “Is this the third or fourth time that you have talked to her today?” Do you detect a little jealousy there? I detect jealousy too, and not only with her husband, but Joe is also about the same way. I believe they think that we should talk to “them” more. Lol! Have you ever tried talking to your husband? Does yours hear what you are saying because I know that my husband pays me no attention when I am talking? I think that he hears, blah, blah, blah. Lol!!! Please, tell me that I am not the only one whose husband is like that. Hahaha! Since I am traveling, I am dressing for comfort. I bought this striped wide neck top from Old Navy back about a month ago. I like stripes, and this one had a unique detail, see picture below. I like to have a few very causal items in my closet that I can throw on with jeans and head out the door, but I also want to repurpose that same item later for a nicer look. With this top, I can see wearing it with a blazer, a pair of white pants, or maybe with a different pair of jeans and a pair of high heels. That would change the look of the top completely. Remember, you never have to keep an item in only one style category.

Here was the unique detail that I was talking about. The only thing that I might not like about this is the knot which might show under a blazer. I’ll cross that bridge when I get to it. The light was shining in on my porch, and it made it hard to see the print on my flats by Michael Kors. I have a roof over my porch which is usually great for taking photos, but today the sun still was too bright on the bottom half of my outfit. I darkened the photo so that you can see that I am wearing the Michael Kors Fulton Moc in the logo print. I saw that some people questioned about the size, so I wanted to let you know that I am wearing my normal size and it fits great. The Alina pull-on skinny jeans by NYDJ was my choice for the day. I thought the lighter color would show off the darker top better. I love these jeans, and I have them in a darker color also. The exclusive lift-tuck technology helps flatten the tummy and lift the rear. This pair of jeans fits snug and is flattering. The website says that you might want to size down a size since the jeans can stretch, but I bought my normal size, and I am happy with it. Here is the link. 

I am not sure what type people you think join Rodan + Fields, but I bet the answer would shock you. Yes, there are a lot of stay-at-home moms in R+F, but there are a ton of professional people involved also. These are the type of person that you would never think would join a direct sales company, but R+F is different. It has the credibility that no other direct sales company can match, at least IMHO. I am looking at just one professional segment today…nurses. Nurses love helping others; it is in their blood. I am going to link to several stories from nurses about why they joined Rodan + Fields.
