WEARING A SWEATSHIRT WITH SHORTS
This has to be one of the most relaxed and casual outfits that I have ever worn on the blog. I figured that was what Saturday’s were made for, relaxing and enjoying some time for yourself. Do you have any plans? Usually, I will have several things that I would like to get done around the house, or I might have somewhere that I want to try and go, but today I am choosing to chill instead. It is crazy, but for me to chill is not an easy process. I don’t watch television, and I don’t cruise the internet for fun. I don’t play online games, and I never seem to find the time to read a book. I use Audible instead of reading, and I listen to a book as I drive.
Multi-tasking is my middle name. I listen to training calls or self-development books when I put on my makeup. I will have two or three websites opened and I also talk on the phone while I take my photos of the mornings. I have always been proud of my ability to multi-task, until now. I have been listening to a book by the name of the One-Thing. It is a great book, and one of the things that it says you should not do is multi-task. It says that by dividing your attention between things, you don’t do any of the things well. His examples were; would you want your surgeon operating on you and talking on the phone? Or, would you want your airline pilot flying the plane and texting? We can understand the need for some people to focus, so why do we not value our time and energy? I am now trying to turn off my notifications when I am blogging. And, then when the family is over, I am trying to close the computer and turn off the phone. My family deserves my focus. So, how about you? Are you a chronic multi-tasker like me?
I am not a big camo print loving gurl. But, when I found this 3/4 sleeve lace-up sleeve top at Cato Fashions the other day, I had to have it. I think that I have worn this top at least 3 or 4 days since I bought it. I will take off the clothes that I have had on during the day, and then throw this on for the rest of the evening. It is sweatshirt material, but the website lists it as a tee. I love sweatshirts that are large and oversized, so I am wearing a large and it is perfect. I think the cutout neckline gives this top a modern feel. Here is the link to the top.
The hammered silver metal disc earrings are named Myra. I used to work with a Myra over 30 years ago in an accounting office. Gosh, I haven’t seen her in a long time. Earrings are the only thing that I added to my look, but I would have added more if I was wearing jeans or a pair of black skinny jeans. Jewelry can really dress up the most casual of tops.
I mentioned to you on yesterday’s blog that I needed to get my nails done. Look at this!!! Oh my word, these nails look atrocious.
And, now they are all fixed. I wanted this pink to purple faded look, but I really wanted more of the pink and a little purple, instead of the other way around. Oh well, Emersyn thought they were pretty and I guess that they will grow on me…maybe.
I also picked up these athletic type shorts when I was at Cato. These are a stretchy knit fabric and they have a mesh panel design that runs down the side. I need a few of these type shorts to pull on and wear when I am relaxing. I am wearing the light gray, but there is also an olive color in these. I am wearing a medium and I have plenty of room in them. Here is the link.

Had missed this one earlier. Love that you shared your nails weren’t perfect. So jealous that you don’t spend time on the internet. One of my biggest downfalls. But then I wouldn’t have found your blog if I didn’t. Have a great day!
Nice style and love this look! You are looking so beautiful. I’m obsessed with those styles and can’t wait to try them. Thanks and keep sharing.
