Wearing A Green Top With Flare Jeans For Spring

Green is the color of Spring! Green can be a flattering color for a wide range of people, but it ultimately depends on their skin tone, hair color, and personal style. Generally, people with warm undertones in their skin look good in shades of green with yellow or brown undertones, such as olive, khaki, or forest green. Those with cooler undertones can rock greens with blue or gray undertones, such as mint, emerald, or teal. Me – I like bright and bold colors, from spring green to emerald and teal.

I love a casual outfit I can grab quickly and head out the door. There are some items that are my go-to, and I know they look good on me. I usually start with a pair of pants or jeans since they are the items that give me the most problems. Then I add a fun top, and I’m out the door in just a few minutes.

The CeCe Double Ruffle Knit Top is a fun top that adds lots of personality. I’ve become a fan of flutter sleeves since they add fun and femininity to any outfit. If you’ve never tried the CeCe brand, here is your chance. They have many feminine tops and dresses, and the quality is excellent. I’m wearing a medium top, but it pulls across the chest. I would feel more comfortable in a large, so this one is going back. Here are a few tops by CeCe that are super cute.

I’m always looking for a pair of great-fitting jeans. Sometimes it can feel like looking for a needle in a haystack, but today I got lucky with this pair. This is my first time trying this brand, and I saw where they might run small. So, I ordered my usual size 8 and a 10 so that I was sure to get the right size. I liked the size 10 pair best, and I returned the size 8 ones.

I love the fit of the jeans, and I thought the unusual pocket design on these was nice. These fit the top of my legs snugly and then slightly flare out for a flattering look. My legs look long and lean with this silhouette. My husband even commented on the jeans. He loves it when I wear this style of jeans instead of relaxed or wide-leg.

Handbags are my guilty pleasure and the one item I will splurge on. I bought this bag at Christmas as an “I deserve it for all my hard work” gift. Some women love shoes, but for me, it is handbags. This handbag was more expensive than most of the bags I buy. Here are a few that I’m eyeing.

Platform shoes are trending, and I love this pair by Vince Camuto. I bought them in December, but I’m just now starting to wear them since they are open-toe. Many of today’s jeans are longer than usual, so a platform shoe helps to keep them from dragging on the ground. These shoes run TTS, so order your normal size.

  3. How appropriate for you to model the lovely ”Master’s Green” top this week of The Masters in Augusta!
That shade of green is a reference to the Green Jackets awarded to the winner on Sunday afternoon.
    Simply gorgeous!

  4. How appropriate for you to model that gorgeous green top, this week, during The Masters week in Augusta!
That is the color we call Master’s green, a reference to the Green Jacket awarded to the winner on Sunday afternoon. Simply perfect!

I also love purses, Tania, but so often don’t have time to switch them out to match an outfit. What do you do to make it quick and easy to switch purses often and make sure you have what you need?

  6. All of the links to Nordstrom don’t go through ‘unusual activity’ page pops up! Maybe it’s just me but thought you should know!

  7. I love green and it’s one of my colors. This spring there’s a lot of it and I am stocking up. The jeans are so cute. They do make you look longer and leaner. I don’t understand women who don’t like flares or boot leg. They’re my favorite style of jeans now.

I love those jeans they look really good on you. Thank You for posting the size gives me an idea of what to get. I am 5’7 and 154 pounds but I carry all my weight in hips and legs so I am going to try a 12.

  12. Thank you so much for your reference to how your personal color relates to the correct shade of green. I recently had a color match (much the same of what many of us did when this was popular in the 80s-90s). I think it is easy for those of us enjoying blogs and fashion tips to fall into the “it” colors only to realize after purchasing and filling up a closet that these colors may not flatter us. I would love to see more on this topic when you share your cute clothes. Love your blog and style!

  13. This outfit looks amazing on you! Safe travels and enjoy your family!
