Two Summer Looks From Walmart You’re Gonna Love
Summer fashions have hit the shelves, and you have plenty of styles to choose from. I’ve been doing a lot of shopping at Walmart, where I know the styles are modern and the prices are affordable. Here are two summer looks from Walmart you’re gonna love!
Striped Dress With A Denim Jacket
Dresses are my go-to style in summer. They are an easy choice since I only have to pick one item out of the closet. I call this my one-and-done look, although I usually add a topper, such as a cardigan or lightweight jacket.
A couple of weeks ago, I styled a Tropical Print Sleeveless Shirt Dress that Joe and I both loved. I knew it would be a hit with him since he loves to see me wear shorter dresses. Since the dress was such a hit, I ordered the vivid striped option, and I love it just as much.
The dress is the perfect weight for summer. It is cool and comfortable, plus stylish and affordable. What more could you ask for in a dress? I also did a post on Summer Walmart Dresses For Women Over 50 – Under $40 that you might want to check out.
I feel undressed if I don’t add a denim jacket to my outfits. Lol! I am always chilly, so adding this lightweight denim jacket to my outfit is a must. I remove the jacket in the heat of the day, but it is a welcome addition in the mornings and evenings. I’m wearing a large, which fits me great.
This hobo handbag is a great size, and I love the pool blue color. I was pleasantly surprised at the comfort level of these sandals, especially since I don’t normally like a strap around my ankle. These fit me great and didn’t pull or tug on my leg.

Pleated Shorts And A Denim Jacket
This simple but stylish short outfit can be worn almost anywhere. It looks polished and put together and combines a dressy and casual style.
Those living in the country’s hottest parts will probably want to leave off the denim jacket, but I like the look. Adding a third element to your outfits elevates the look by giving them visual interest. You could add something like this gingham shirt and wear it as a jacket or be left open and tied at the bottom.
I’m wearing a high-low white tank top, which is very soft, flowy, and comfortable. This tank can be worn with anything and dressed up or down. It comes in a 2-pack, and there are lots of different color combinations. The tank looks and feels great and is very affordable. The 2-pack is under $16, so you might want to get multiples. I’m wearing a large but felt like it was too big for me. I reordered the tanks in a medium, and they fit much better.
The Avery tote is a great size, and I love the exposed white stitching that adds a style element. This handbag is a great size and has style galore. You’ll be able to carry this tote into the fall and winter, so you’ll get your money’s worth from it. I’m hoping they add more color options to these Barely There sandals. I love the simple design and would buy more colors of them if I could. They run TTS, and I’m wearing my usual size.
More Summer Shorts From Walmart
I started this blog to help women look fashionable at any age. Finding stylish and affordable clothing can be an issue, but Walmart has the answer. I can always find gorgeous styles at a reasonable price for any occasion.
Walmart makes shopping very convenient for its customers, especially since most people have a store within 10 miles of their homes. You can also sign up for Walmart+, where you get Free Shipping with no order minimums (excludes most Marketplace items, location & freight surcharges) and Free Delivery (where available) with orders over $35. I take advantage of home delivery several times weekly and love that small convenience.
Walmart sponsors this post, and I will receive compensation, but the opinions expressed are my own.

I’m so glad I found you! First you are a sister in Christ but 2cd your style is my style! Keep up the Walmart and less expensive styles! I’m on a budget! I also take your inspirations and try to thrift them! Makes it so fun!
Yes, I love wearing dresses, and have been wearing them everyday. I like you, walk in and grab one and then add earrings and that is it.. Love the idea, of more, topics and more ideas, that should be fun. And I do love the different new designs in Walmart.
Is the jean jacket light weight?
It is probable a medium weight.
Love the dress!!!!!!! May I ask, r u wearing a slip underneath or just slip shorts?
I’m not wearing either, just normal undergarments.
As a petite woman of 5’3” I’m very excited for your upcoming posts for us shorter ladies. When clothing is actually in a petite size it makes a world of difference in the fit for me!
Great post! I LOVE that blue hobo bag. I haven’t purchased it yet, but I think I have to have it. I have looked at it in my local WM store.
Well, I am pretty sure that I am going to be adding that dress to my closet since there are so many reasons that it would be the perfect addition right now. I am thrilled that Wal-Mart has upped their game when it comes to women’s fashion.
I just wore the sleeveless blouse version of the floral print dress you mentioned above yesterday! I know this is a Walmart post, but can I ask which denim jacket you truly prefer–this one or the Wrangler one you always speak of? I do not have a denim jacket, am built a lot like you, and not sure which to get. I’d love your feedback.
Kelly, the two jackets are different. The Walmart one is heavier and the Amazon on is more of a lightweight one.
The Amazon jacket is a winner in my book! It’s soft and it has some stretch.
Thank you for taking the time to show off some style from Walmart. I enjoyed the blog and hope to see more of them. Thank you again. I love Walmart
I look forward to seeing petite fashions for age 60+! They are becoming more difficult to find! What I do see, mostly looks frumpy!
Is the cute dress in this post thick enough that you don’t need a slip or something for modesty?
Teresa, I would wear it without a slip, but some might want one.
Love your energy and your willingness to share with others your talents on clothing and every day “stuff”! Looking foward to reading more.
Two posts in a single day are excellent, but two days per week! Go Tania! Impressive that you have so much inspiration to share. For some reason, I especially love the Walmart posts and have snagged several items that turned out to be closet favs. I had never really considered Walmart before for fashion, just emergency clothes if the airline lost your bag, so thank you!
I’m hoping it will work out, but at the end of the month, I’ll decide whether to keep the feature.
Love the new look!
Julia, that makes me very happy! I hope the new feature is a big hit.
Cute dress! I love the Time and Tru v-neck t shirts from Walmart. Lots of colors, great basic with shorts and they are so inexpensive and hold up great after washing. Have a great day and i look forward to both posts!
