TUXEDO BLAZER AND JEANS
I am so glad that you are joining me on this gorgeous Friday. Friday’s have always been a favorite day for me, just because they signal that the weekend is here. Now, I have an extra reason to love Fridays…I meet a new blogging friend on Fridays! Today’s friend is Lisa Richardson from Coast to Coast blog, and I have a funny story to tell all of you about Lisa and me.
I reached out to Lisa to see if she would be interested in linking up, and in my email, I mentioned that I was from Virginia. Lisa emailed back that she would love to link up and said that she was originally from Richmond and wanted to know where in Virginia I lived. When I told her that I was from a small town in Southwestern Virginia, she said that she knew exactly where that was because her mother and her father are both from neighboring towns. Lol! Then she asked me if I knew a couple of people that lived in the area. They were her cousins, and guess what? I go to church with them every Sunday. LOL! Talk about a small world. What were the odds that I would message someone clear across the country and then we would know some of the same people?
I love this look. It is the perfect blend of dressy and casual. This tuxedo blazer is a new purchase for me that I bought when I was in Atlanta visiting my sister. I only got to spend a few minutes shopping, but I quickly added several items to my cart including these two cardigans. (here and here) When I showed my sister this blazer, she loved it and told me that I should buy it. Since she wears black all the time, I wasn’t surprised. Now, I am asking all of you…is this something that you would wear?
These jeans are the Diana from Kut From The Kloth. I know that you are probably tired of seeing them, but I do love these jeans. Plus, when I am in a hurry, these are my go-to jeans. These are still on sale for under $40.00, so go here to get yours before they are all gone.
I finished the look with a white blouse that ties at the neck. This style blouse is so easy to wear and can make almost anything look special. Sometimes I let the ties hang loose for a more casual look, it is up to you how you decide to wear the blouse.
I apologize for this very brief blog post. I am sick, and if it weren’t a Friday with Friends post, I probably would have “tapped out” today. If you are visiting from Lisa’s blog, I ask you to please come back and revisit me when I feel better.
Be sure to tell Lisa that I said hello. Go here to check out her blog.
I do encourage you to please sign up for my daily emails so that you can click on the link and it will take you straight to the post. No more having to remember to type in the name, etc.

Can I purchase some of the outfits you are wearing?
I think it’s so funny we both shared that story. I have those exact jeans…wore them again yesterday and love them. This is a great look and fun for so many occasions. I’m so sorry you aren’t feeling well. We could have totally postponed. Hope you’re back to normal quickly. XO
When I read your post, I had to laugh. Our readers at least know that we don’t make things up. Lol!
Hope you feel better and enjoy this weekend!
Yes, I’d wear it, though maybe a different style blouse just because I’m not fond of that style on me. You look great! I’m sick too. Bring on spring!
I wouldn’t think to try wearing something like this myself but it looks so cute on you! So sorry to hear that you aren’t feeling well. I too am sick with a virus and my mother-in-law that lives with us is too. Praying that you feel better soon!
Kelly, it wasn’t my normal choice either, but I really like the look! I hope you feel better soon.
I own one in white with black leather lapels. I really like it, but haven’t worn it yet. Trying to get up the courage.
Louise, that jacket sounds amazing! Go for it!
Hope you’re feeling better today and that tuxedo jacket is rocking it!
Thanks, Ramona! I am feeling much better!
When Lisa told me y’all had some folks in common I could not believe it! This big world really is a small one after all, isn’t it! Love this look Tania!!

I know, Kellyann. It was so funny!!! What were the odds? Lol!
Happy Friday! Does the blazer button? I think I would love it if it buttoned, and yes, I would definitely wear it especially with jeans. You always look great. Enjoy your weekend.
Mary, I am not sure. Lol! I don’t think that there is a button, but it is still really nice and different.
Hope you feel better soon. Nice and different look!
Thanks, Kaye. At least this morning (so far) I am feeling some better.
I like this look for a semi-dressy affair. I wouldn’t normally consider a tuxedo jacket but you got it just right with this look and made me want to try it. Hope you feel better. Off to check out your friend’s blog.
I like pushing you out of your comfort zone, Johnna! Lol!
The blazer looks good on you. Probably not something I would wear but it’s nice to see choices and I love that you introduce me to various clothing items I’d not think of. Feel better. Off to visit your friend’s blog.
Thanks, Natalia! It is not something that I would normally wear either, but that is why I like it. I like trying new things instead of staying in my comfort zone.
