TUXEDO BLAZER AND JEANS
I am so glad that you are joining me on this gorgeous Friday. Friday’s have always been a favorite day for me, just because they signal that the weekend is here. Now, I have an extra reason to love Fridays…I meet a new blogging friend on Fridays! Today’s friend is Lisa Richardson from Coast to Coast blog, and I have a funny story to tell all of you about Lisa and me.
I reached out to Lisa to see if she would be interested in linking up, and in my email, I mentioned that I was from Virginia. Lisa emailed back that she would love to link up and said that she was originally from Richmond and wanted to know where in Virginia I lived. When I told her that I was from a small town in Southwestern Virginia, she said that she knew exactly where that was because her mother and her father are both from neighboring towns. Lol! Then she asked me if I knew a couple of people that lived in the area. They were her cousins, and guess what? I go to church with them every Sunday. LOL! Talk about a small world. What were the odds that I would message someone clear across the country and then we would know some of the same people?
I love this look. It is the perfect blend of dressy and casual. This tuxedo blazer is a new purchase for me that I bought when I was in Atlanta visiting my sister. I only got to spend a few minutes shopping, but I quickly added several items to my cart including these two cardigans. (here and here) When I showed my sister this blazer, she loved it and told me that I should buy it. Since she wears black all the time, I wasn’t surprised. Now, I am asking all of you…is this something that you would wear?
These jeans are the Diana from Kut From The Kloth. I know that you are probably tired of seeing them, but I do love these jeans. Plus, when I am in a hurry, these are my go-to jeans. These are still on sale for under $40.00, so go here to get yours before they are all gone.
I finished the look with a white blouse that ties at the neck. This style blouse is so easy to wear and can make almost anything look special. Sometimes I let the ties hang loose for a more casual look, it is up to you how you decide to wear the blouse.
I apologize for this very brief blog post. I am sick, and if it weren’t a Friday with Friends post, I probably would have “tapped out” today. If you are visiting from Lisa’s blog, I ask you to please come back and revisit me when I feel better.
Be sure to tell Lisa that I said hello. Go here to check out her blog.
I do encourage you to please sign up for my daily emails so that you can click on the link and it will take you straight to the post. No more having to remember to type in the name, etc.

Tania, you pull out lovely clothes each season and pair them up with newly purchased items and end up with a great look. I keep wondering where you store all your clothes. I’m having a “spring fling” purging my closets right now. I have two and a half closets full of clothes. (Share one closet with my husband.) Also, have clothes in containers under the bed in the guest room.
All suggestions on purging, saving and storage from you or your readers will be gratefully received.

Oh my, Nicki! We sound like sisters. I can’t help with purging, I am terrible about getting rid of anything.
The tuxedo jacket looks great on you! I’m sorry to hear you are sick! I love your Friday with Friends because I love finding more blogs by like-minded ladies. When I first started following blogs, I could only find young moms that wore a size 0. LOL! I like seeing women my age with taste similar to mine. Thanks for all you do!
Also, I have an R and F question. I’m starting to use the sunless tanner but am unsure of how to incorporate it with my skincare regime. Is it ok to use the R and F tanner on my face? If so, when should I put in on? Can you tell that I consider you the authority on all R and F questions? 🙂
Thanks, Joy! I am feeling better today. I am glad that you like Friday with Friends. I was the same as you, I couldn’t find a blog that I thought represented me. So, I started my own. Lol!
I don’t use tanner on my face, but I am sure that you can. The problem is going to be with any exfoliating washes that you use. They might make the color come off quicker.
Uh oh! Did you catch what your grandson had? Nice tuxedo blazer!
Very cute look for a party! I’m SO sorry you’re sick & thank you for taking the time to still share with us! Praying for you!
Feel better soon! In the 80s I loved to wear my fathers jacket from his wedding suit over a denim sort of mermaid style skirt. I loved that look and this reminds me of it. I would try it on in the store…not sure I would want to relive the look though! It is certainly out of your norm! Thanks for trying new things and inspiring us all to get out of our comfort zones!
