TUESDAY’S TRY-ON WITH LOTS OF FALL STYLES

Fashion Blogger 50 Is Not Old is wearing a brown Fedora with a maroon cardigan, a rose colored sweater, blue jeans, and pointy ankle boots

First off, if you have sat down with something to drink, make sure that it is filled to the brim. This is going to be a jam-packed post, and it might take a while to go through all of it. I have lost count of how many different items that I’ll be showing you today, but I know that it took me all afternoon to change clothes and take photos of everything. So, if you’re ready to start the show, let’s get started.

Fashion Blogger 50 Is Not Old is wearing a rose colored sweater, blue jeans, and pointy ankle boots

None of these photos are “styled” in the way that I would probably wear them. I am trying to show you as many items as possible, so if a sweater looks odd with the shirt that I have on, that is why.

Secondly, for sizing purposes, I am 5’6″ tall, and I usually wear a medium or a large in tops, a size 10 in jeans and pants, a 12 in dresses, and a size 9 in shoes. I will try to remember to tell you the size that I have on, but if I forget, then you should assume that it fits true to size.

Third, I know that black is hard to photograph, and it doesn’t show well against my black door. I will try to lighten and brighten the photos to let you see the details of the item, or try and take the picture against my lighter brick wall.

I will try to link to everything, and at the end of the post, you should see a Shop The Post, which will have all of the items there. You can keep clicking the arrow to scroll through the photos. Click on the picture that you like to be taken to the store.

I am already running out of things to say, and we haven’t gotten to the end of the entry photos. Whew! I’ll start to tell you about the items once you see a picture of all of them.

Fashion Blogger 50 Is Not Old is wearing a Pointelle olive colored sweater with cuffed jeans and Tory Burch ankle boots

Some of these items will be staying with me, and some will be packaged back up and going back. Sizing is usually the issue, but occasionally I am not happy with how it “looks” on me.

Fashion Blogger 50 Is Not Old is color block long cardigan with blue jeans and carrying a blue handbag

Last chance…go and refill that coffee, tea, soft drink, water, or wine, and let’s get started! Woohoo!!!

Fashion Blogger 50 Is Not Old is wearing a rose colored sweater, gold jewelry, blue jeans, and pointy ankle boots

I love the look of this sweater! The neckline is different, and I love the 3/4 sleeves. The fact that this Lark & Ro sweater is 100% cashmere is just icing on the cake. Lol! This is a beautiful dusty rose color, and it looks more vivid in this photo than it does in person. I am wearing a medium, and it fits well, but I already have a large order to check out the difference. I want to keep one of the sweaters, but I am afraid that the medium shows my rolls more than I am comfortable with. The sweater also comes in black, charcoal, and forest green.

Fashion Blogger 50 Is Not Old is wearing a rose colored sweater, gold jewelry, and a green cardigan

To show you that the sweater can be layered with a cardigan, I added this beautiful open front cardigan in the color Sea Haze. This color is gorgeous, and it is super soft and comfy. I love how the cardigan feels against my skin, and this one is staying with me since it is a color that I don’t already own. I am wearing a medium, and it fits perfectly.

Fashion Blogger 50 Is Not Old is wearing a rose colored sweater, blue jeans, and a rust colored cardigan

I am not sure why the colors are so distorted today, but this cardigan is not orange; it is a caramel color. In fact, the website calls the color Warm Coffee, so that should give you an idea of the color. This is also a long open front cardigan, but it is not from the same material as the greenish one above. The fit is about the same, except the sleeves were tighter on this one than the green one also. The sleeves weren’t too tight; they would just make it harder to wear a long-sleeve item underneath. I am wearing a medium in the cardigan, and it fits me great.

Fashion Blogger 50 Is Not Old is wearing a rose colored sweater, a maroon cardigan, blue jeans, and holding a brown Fedora

The jeans that I am wearing are from Old Navy, and they are high waisted and have a boot cut hem. I love the way that these jeans fit and feel. They look great with a pair of flats, and they look fabulous with boots also. I am wearing the color Christy, and I have on a size 10 in these jeans. This size fits perfectly, and I will be keeping this pair. BTW, these jeans are only available online, and they are not sold in stores.

The long-line open front cardigan is the same as the caramel-colored one above but in the color Raisin Arizona. I love this burgundy color, and it is one that will be worn a lot this coming fall.

Fashion Blogger 50 Is Not Old is holding a brown Fedora with a leopard print band

Isn’t this the cutest fedora? I am not even a hat person, and I love this hat! The chestnut/camel color is perfect for fall, but it is the calf hair band leopard print band that makes this hat. These are the kind of unique details that I am always looking for when I go shopping. The hat is 30% off, so now would be a great time to think about adding this to your wardrobe.

Fashion Blogger 50 Is Not Old is wearing a rose colored sweater, blue jeans, and carrying a Calvin Klein handbag

You usually see me carrying a tote bag large enough to have a small kitchen sink inside. But, occasionally, I love carrying a satchel handbag, especially if I am dressed up. I love a tote, but they are not usually elegant enough for a dressy occasion. This Calvin Klein Leather Handbag looks dressy with the gold chain and gold push-lock closure. Also, the chain is removable if you only want to carry the bag by the handles. This handbag has lots of different sections, and that is perfect for me since I like my bags to have compartments so that I can keep my things organized.

Fashion Blogger 50 Is Not Old is wearing a green sweater/tee with black wide leg sweatpants

Comfy and cozy! This outfit is staying with me too! Lol! Is anything going back??? I love these wide-leg soft brushed sweatpants. These are my kind of knock around pants, and I will live in these on the weekends. I have a similar pair that I bought from Fabletics last year, and even though Joe is not a fan, I love them! These also come in a dark gray, and they might also be on there way to my house. Haha! I am wearing a medium in these pants, and they fit soooo well. You will thank me for this purchase.

Fashion Blogger 50 Is Not Old is showing how long a green tee is from the back

The cozy long sleeve plush tee is comfy, comfy, comfy! This tee is a cross between a sweater and a tee shirt. It is soft and plush like a sweater, but it fits and acts like a tee. I love the pretty green color of this tee; it is called Jet Stream. The tee comes in a couple of more colors if green is not to your liking. I ordered a large in the tee because I wanted it to fit big and oversized for wearing with leggings or these sweatpants.

Fashion Blogger 50 Is Not Old is wearing a bright mustard double breasted jacket with a black and white striped sweater, gold jewelry, black cargo pants, and carrying a black handbag

This outfit is bright when compared to all of the other muted colors. I love, love, love this quilted leather satchel from Talbots. This handbag is so soft, and it looks sooo expensive with the quilted detail. There is a small tortoiseshell detail at the handle on both sides of the bag, and that is special also. The handbag has three compartments, two are on the outside, and the main compartment zips in the middle. This is a nice size bag, and it will carry a lot of stuff.

Fashion Blogger 50 Is Not Old is wearing a bright mustard double breasted jacket with a black and white striped sweater, and gold jewelry from Kendra Scott

This double-breasted blazer is sure noticeable! It is called Raw Honey, but it looks more like mustard to me. I love bright colors, but this might even be too bright for me. What do you think? Anyway, I am wearing my usual size 10 in the jacket, and it is a little tight through the arms when I move and stretch. So, this will be going back, even if the color wasn’t so bright. Lol!

Fashion Blogger 50 Is Not Old is holding a bright mustard double breasted jacket with a black and white striped sweater

I do like this striped tie sweater tank, though. This would look great with caramel or black long cardigan, and it would also look great with white pants. I am wearing a size medium in the tank, but I feel like to shows too many rolls, so this will be going back.

Fashion Blogger 50 Is Not Old is wearing black cargo pants, and mustard slides

These drapey and flowy cargo pants are super cute. I love that they have an elastic waist and that the belt is removable. The material is very lightweight, and these will be a pair of pants that could be worn in the spring and summer also. The pockets with the button is a sharp detail. I would typically pair these with my black pumps, but I wanted to show you these shoes. I bought these criss-cross block heels slides last year from the same store. When you purchase things from stores all of the time, you will notice that past purchases will sometimes match current items. I am wearing my usual size 9 in the shoes.

Fashion Blogger 50 Is Not Old is wearing a Pointelle olive colored sweater with cuffed jeans, gold jewelry, and Tory Burch ankle boots

These straight-leg jeans are super cute and very affordable! I ordered the tall in these since the tall inseam is only 32.5. I rolled the hem up today so that you would see my Tory Burch ankle boots. The jeans fit me great, and I am wearing a size 10 in these. I believe that they will be staying in my closet. Lol!

Fashion Blogger 50 Is Not Old is wearing a Pointelle olive colored sweater with gold jewelry

This Pointelle sweater is super cute, and it is a gorgeous muted olive color. It looks brownish in these photos, but it is more olive than brown. I love the Pointelle design, but I will warn you that you will need to wear a tank or camisole underneath the sweater. I have on a navy tank, so that is what you see peeking through. I am wearing a medium in the sweater, and I think that it fits great. I didn’t believe that I would like this olive color against my skin, but I like it a lot.

Fashion Blogger 50 Is Not Old is wearing a Pointelle olive colored sweater with a brown leather handbag

I added this leather Kattee dark brown bag with the silver hardware to this outfit. This handbag is a nice color and weight, and it also has plenty of compartments and a strap that can be detached. I am carrying the “small” size in this bag, and it also comes in a large version.

Fashion Blogger 50 Is Not Old is wearing a Pointelle dark gray colored cardigan with a pumpkin t-shirt

First off, the pumpkin t-shirt under this gray Pointelle cardigan is not on the website any longer. Fall items sell out quickly, so if you see something you like, act now rather than later. I linked several tees yesterday on my Instagram stories; here is a link, and here is another one.

Fashion Blogger 50 Is Not Old is wearing a Pointelle dark gray colored cardigan, gold jewelry, and a pumpkin t-shirt

This graphite gray Pointelle cardigan is perfect for fall! I love this dark gray color, and you already know how I feel about the Pointelle design. This sweater is meant to be oversized, and I think that it is called a grandfather cardigan. I am wearing a medium in this sweater, and I think that it fits me great.

Fashion Blogger 50 Is Not Old is wearing a Pointelle dark gray colored cardigan with a pumpkin t-shirt, and holding a black tasseled handbag by Rebecca Minkoff

Oh my!!! I love this handbag by Rebecca Minkoff! The leather is soft and subtle, and I love the pebbled leather. The slouch hobo design is perfect for me, and don’t even get me started about these long thick tassels! AND, this handbag is under $75.00!!! I KNOW!!! Can you believe that?

Fashion Blogger 50 Is Not Old is color block striped cardigan with blue jeans and carrying a blue handbag

This color block long-line cardigan is the same one as the Sea Haze cardigan that I am wearing above. It is just as soft and cozy, I am still wearing a medium, and I love this color block pattern.

Fashion Blogger 50 Is Not Old is color block long cardigan with gold Kendra Scott jewelry, and carrying a blue handbag

This Vince Camuto blue handbag is so different that I had to order it to check it out. I have a blue Kate Spade handbag that is almost this identical color, and I’ve carried it off and on for years. This tote is taller than most of my bags, and it has straps that can be used as a shoulder or crossbody tote.

Fashion Blogger 50 Is Not Old is color block long cardigan with gold Kendra Scott jewelry

You might have noticed my jewelry in all of the posts. The Davis necklace that I am wearing is c/o Kendra Scott, and it comes with three chains that can all be removed from the clasp. I love how versatile this necklace is! I am wearing two of the chains in earlier photos, and all three of them in this photo. You can wear one, two, or three chains, and you can even attach other necklaces that you own to the clasp for a custom necklace of your own making. I also have on my gold AVI hoop earrings and the Beckett link bracelet.

Is your drink cold or all gone? Lol! I told you that it was a long post, and I even decided to delete a couple of things, and I’ll show those to you later. How are you liking my Tuesday Try-Ons? Are these helpful to you?

I love the Tuesday try-on posts; they give me inspiration on how to work with the garments I already have. I may give Old Navy a second look. I’m trying not to add too much to my wardrobe because I’m retired, and don’t get out too much because of Covid 19. That being said, I have three shipments of Chico’s items coming! They had weekend offers I couldn’t refuse.

Your hair always looks very stylish but it was really eye-catching when you wore it back in a few pics. Also, you can really rock a hat! I wish I could but unfortunately they’re not for me. The straight leg jeans you are wearing cuffed in the photo with the Tory Burch boots…….I’ve checked them out online but don’t see any info as to the rise of the jeans. Can you tell me if they’re mid-rise or high-rise? Also, what wash did your purchase?
