Trend Alert -boho-style Ruana
Today is the Vintage Fashion Show and I am up early. By the time that the show is over this afternoon, I will be dragging my tail. It is amazing how a few hours can wear you out! I plan on documenting the day on my Instagram stories, so be sure that you are following me to see the jewelry, the models, the beautiful facility, etc. Also, I hope that some of you will be making the effort to come out and join me in the fun. #bringmecoffee
To get back at my daughter for making me drive the entire way to Atlanta, I let her do all of the work of setting up the jewelry for the pre-sale. Lol! That doesn’t sound like it is a lot of work, but it takes forever. To make the display look nice, you have to put things in groupings of color and use props such as handbags, shoes, gloves, etc. While she did all of that, I took the opportunity to go through the jewelry that the models will be wearing. I thought that it was a perfect act of revenge…she works, and I shop. Lol! I’ll show you my purchases later, so be sure to stay tuned.
This gorgeous Ruana has the most beautiful fall colors. I love the velvet burnout look on this piece and the long boho fringe. When you are wearing this Ruana, there is so much movement and it is beautiful. I walked through the house and my daughter’s eyes lit up. Then she said, “that’s gorgeous, let me try it on.” I should have said, “no” because guess who know owns a velvet burnout Ruana? Yes, I spoil her. But, you have to understand this, she normally only wears oversized shirts and yoga pants, so if she wants something that is fashionable…it is hers! Lol! This is from Chicos, and it is on sale over 50% off. Here is the link.
Here is a perfect example of blending more than one style all together. I am mixing vintage jewelry, a boho-style Ruana, and a man’s Fedora hat together in today’s look. Joe has worn a Fedora hat for years, but now this style of hat is all the rage with women. This style of Fedora is perfect for the cooler months to come, and I can’t wait to wear this hat with a chunky sweater. If the weather is warmer, then opt for straw or a lightweight Fedora. Here is the link to the hat that I am wearing, and I am wearing a medium.
If you don’t own a pair of knee boots, then take the time today to change that. Knee boots are my go-to all fall and winter long. I have several different colors and styles of boots, but this caramel color seems to be my favorite. This pair of boots that I have on, has a chunky heel and a half zip that makes them easier to pull up over your jeans. I think that these are by Marc Fisher, but I can’t be sure.
I am trying to grow my Instagram, so if you do not already follow me, please do that by clicking here. Remember to sign up for my daily emails. Thanks so much for following me on my blog. Be sure to follow me on Pinterest, Twitter, Instagram, YouTube, and Facebook.
Just coming home from a month in Santa Fe. This outfit is amazing and you would have fit right in. Got to get this look for my next visit.
Gorgeous! Tania… how tall are you? Wondering how to compare your styles with my short 5’3” self!
Carolyn, I am 5’6″ tall. That is only 3″ taller than you.
I love the Ruana on you and how you styled it! I just bought it for myself and it’s on sale at a good price. Thank you for sharing this!
