TIFFANY BLUE HUNTER BOOTS
The city of Juneau set off some of the most beautiful fireworks I have ever seen. They started with the display at 12:00 am on the morning of the 4th and they lasted for 20 minutes. I have never seen fireworks set off before in that fashion, at home, the fireworks are set off around 10:00 pm on the 4th. Also, at home, they set off the fireworks one at a time and here they go off like three at a time.
Remember, the time zone here is 4 hours behind what I am used to, so midnight in Juneau is 4:00 am my time. The fact that I even saw any of the show was pretty amazing. Lol! Joe was not interested in seeing the fireworks so he went on to bed. Ashleigh warned him that it would be very loud and asked him if he wanted any earplugs. He said that he wouldn’t need them because he was so tired but he was wrong. Hahaha!
Isn’t this a gorgeous photo of the fireworks? Matthew S. Brown was the photographer and he has a website called Photos on the Wild Side that has breathtaking pictures of Alaska and the wildlife here. It is a must see!
It was cooler today than it was yesterday so we both had two jackets on. The first one was for warmth and then we topped that with a waterproof shell. The weather does hamper a fashion blogger just a touch. Lol! By the time Ashleigh took my photos of my outfit I had been rained on and I looked a little worse for the wear.
I am not sure what Ashleigh has planned for us tomorrow but it is at least supposed to be pretty and warmer so I am pretty excited about that. I hope you are liking the photos from Alaska.
Even though I am in Alaska I can still work my businesses. The blog is still being written, I am still wearing my Plunder jewelry, just not today, and I am still having an opportunity call tonight for anyone who is interested in learning more about Rodan + Fields. The ZOOM call will be at 9:00 pm EST, the number is 736 578 7052. Anyone who joins me tonight will automatically get a FREE microdermabrasion paste packet for just listening.
Do you know what my number one referrer page is? It is Pinterest! I truly appreciate every time you “pin” a picture. Heck, pin ALL the pictures if you want. Lol! Also, if you would like to share my posts on Facebook or Twitter, I would appreciate that. It helps get my blog out to more people, and I am sure you just want to spread the entertaining sayings I have. Lol! The comment section is at the end of the post, so keep scrolling. I look forward to reading all the comments, they make my day.

I say yes to the ulu knife as well but get a real one made there by the Indians not a cheap imitation great for chopping cabbage and carrots for coleslaw and so many other things. They use them for everything from skinning animals to cutting thread when they sew. Also the crab shack is right at the pier, but takes awhile to get in always crowded, that’s like the first place everyone heads for once they get off the ship. Hard to imagine how many people arrive at one time there are at least three ships in Port every day during season and you only have one day at each Port so much to see. Next trip we want to do the interior and go by train. Looking good Tania.
I am enjoying the photos of Alaska. We went in September so we also had jackets since it was drizzly. But we loved it!
You look relaxed and like your are having fun! Thanks for sharing your Alaska adventure! – AMy

Tania you are working inspite of the weather in alaska . i have that same sweater in tan and pink i love them ! They really are comfy n cozy with out being a hoodie
We were in Alaska a couple years ago in July and it was gorgeous. We did a land road trip and ended with a cruise to see the glaciers. Fantastic. Denali too…saw plenty of eagles, bear and moose.
I know you are not fond of cooking but get yourself an ulu knife. It is fantastic for cutting herbs and very unique. Makes a great gift too.
Have a great time. Love Alaska but not full time.
Hi Tania , I love seeing the pictures of Alaska and your family ! Your sweater and gold nugget necklace are so pretty and go together perfectly . I’ve wanted a pair of the Tiffany blue Hunter boots for ages ( as well as the hot pink ones 😉 ) , they look gorgeous . What a nice husband you have ! Can’t wait to see more of your adventures in Alaska !
I’m so enjoying these pictures from Alaska! I really admire Ashleigh’s independent and adventurous spirit! Alaska looks like an incredible place to live. I noticed in one of the pictures, a Ben Franklin’s store. I haven’t seen one of those since the 1970’s!
I said the same thing, Kim. ?
I can’t imagine cooler tempertures right now! This is Texas!!! You look great. What does Ashliegh do there??? Thanks for sharing the beautiful pictures.
The cooler temperatures were a shock after the high 80’s I had all last week. I know it is even hotter where you live there in Texas. Lol! Ashleigh works for the State in the Department of Law.
I just saw that there is a place in Juneau called “Tracy’s Crab Shack”…any plans of going there?? I will live through you if you go! 🙂
Sally, I have no idea where Ashleigh will take us. I am just along for the ride. Lol!
Thanks for the pictures from Alaska. Love the steam behind your daughter’s house. Beautiful!
Linda, there are little streams like that everywhere. I guess it is from all the runoff of the melting snows.
Love seeing your Alaska pictures! We went there last summer and loved it! Have fun!
It is incredibly beautiful.
Tania, what brought Ashleigh to Alaska? My daughter is 26, her career after graduating from Clemson has brought her to NY and now Connecticut. Our children have so much more opportunity than we did when we were that age! I don’t know if I would have been brave enough to be so adventurous. 🙂 Dawn
College was what brought her to Alaska. She wanted to be a Marine Biologist and there weren’t many colleges that offered that degree around home. Lol!
Thanks for the great pictures. I love your sweater and boots. Your daughter is pretty like her momma! What took her to Alaska?
Thanks, Linda, that is so sweet. She came to Alaska to go to college and won’t come home.
Thanks for sharing about your trip! I may have to bite the bullet one day and get some hunter boots! Love that cardigan!
If you ever buy a pair you also need to buy the inserts. The boots are really cold even with socks but the inserts keep your feet good and warm.
Loving those Tiffany Hunter boots! Looks like you are having fun and your daughter is beautiful, she looks a lot like you 😉
She has Joe’s coloring but she did a face split one day with me and her and we looked just alike. Lol!
Looks like a great place to stay! I have a pair of hunter boots too which were gifted to me but I much prefer the colour of yours. Mine are lime green! I think Tiffany blues much prettier!!
Tania, Joe got me two pairs one year for Christmas. I wanted the Tiffany Blue pair but they were crazy hard to find and then they were way too expensive once I found them. He surprised me by getting them for me. ?
I cant wait for my trip to Alaska in a few weeks! You are making me wonder if I have the right clothes for my trip? Stay safe and enjoy the beauty of the wild.
Sandy, you never know what the weather will be from day to day here. I would look at the weather forecast right before you leave. Just bring a good raincoat with a hood, good walking shoes, and a warm jacket. You can add shirts under a sweater or sweatshirt and stay plenty warm if you don’t get wet. You will enjoy Alaska, it is beyond beautiful.
Loving these pictures from Alaska! Beautiful but to cold. I need my sunshine! Have a great time and keep the pictures coming.
Tara, it is really beautiful. I like my sunshine also but Ashleigh says you just get used to it. Lol!
What a festivities! Looks so great! And those Hunters are a beautiful color! It makes it not to sad when it rains!
