THE LADY IN RED

Joe has finally got me where he wants me….in a cage. Lol! As soon as I saw this chair “One Flew Over The Cuckoo’s Nest” came to mind. I really have no idea why since I have never seen the movie and the only thing I know about the movie is that he was in a straight jacket. Maybe my mind is trying to tell me that I am slightly insane. Who am I kidding, there is nothing “slightly” about me. This birdcage chair was in the lobby of the Renaissance Hotel and I had to have my picture made in it on Saturday night. 
I am so sorry about the quality of these pictures. I can tell you that Charleston is very humid! Everyone was talking about how their hair was going crazy with the weather. Well, my hair seemed to do fine but my camera was not as happy. It fogged up on me and we could not get it to acclimate before the Uber driver showed up. I loved this dress and I wanted to be able to share it with you in a setting other than my front porch. It is too pretty and fancy to just be photographed on the porch. Lol!I got TONS of compliments on this dress when I wore it to the Gala. When you attend a Gala with about 100 beautiful women in their 30’s it is hard to compete with them. Especially when the event you are attending is skincare related, you know everyone there had flawless skin and thick long lashes. Lol! I ordered this Donna Morgan dress online from TJ Maxx and it fit perfectly. I normally wear a size 10 in everything except when it comes to dresses. I almost always buy a size larger in dresses, I have no idea why, so this is a size 12. It is a crepe dress with attached bows. It also has the shoulder straps that can be removed if you want, they just snap to the dress. I wore the straps because I didn’t have to worry about the dress dropping down while we were dancing. Yes, I said dancing.  I did not wear a necklace with the dress because I did not want to take away from the neckline of the dress. I did, however, want to wear statement earrings. The Ellie earrings are a beautiful statement. They are antique gold and pearl earrings with a 4″ drop. I like how they just touch the shoulders. I did wear some bling bracelets. The Georgia and the Laurel bracelets are on my left arm. These are elastic bracelets so they are very comfortable and easy to put on and get off. You might also notice that I have on a glow-in-the-dark bracelet that everyone was supposed to wear to go to the Gala. I at least got one that matched. Haha! One the right arm I have on several Alex and Ani bracelets and the Chalon and the Hugo bracelets. They are 9″ bangles that have a magnetic closure.I love these beautiful Varsha sandals c/o Nina Shoes. These sandals are perfect for an evening out on the town. They are classy and edgy at the same time. The navy satin and rhinestones really add some “sass” to the dress. I do love my “sass.” Lol!!! Lucille is on the left with the “R” and she is my friend from New Jersey that flew in to attend the Convention. We had never actually met but that didn’t really matter since we had talked enough that we were already fast friends. My Energizer Bunny Friend, Leigh Ann, is on the right with the “F” and that would be me, the lady in red, in the middle. I am still pinching myself that I am a part of all “this” and I actually make money while I am having such a great time. Speaking of money, yesterday was my R+F payday and it was the biggest and best one yet. R+F is like going to a gym or going on a diet, results will vary.
