I love the covered leopard print bench in Chico’s dressing room. Lol! It looks great with the Zebra Print Tie-Front Blouse and So Slimming® Girlfriend Jeans. I honestly think that dark wash jeans are the most slimming, but I had to include these jeans in my post…after all, “slimming” is in their name.

Wow, is the name of these jeans, and I’m feeling it! These high-waisted flare jeans from Old Navy are the perfect pair to add flair to your wardrobe! The silhouette is super flattering, especially if you want to contour those curves and create a long, lean look. The high waist offers excellent tummy control (yes, please), and the snug fit through the thighs is comfortable without sacrificing style. Pair them with a cute blouse for a casual day out, or dress them up with a chic top and heels for a night on the town.

I know that you don’t all love the waistline, but I love the extra high-waisted flare. They offer a snug fit that hugs your waist and hips, and the flare is just the right size. I think dark wash is a bit more dressy. These are versatile enough for any occasion, whether you’re running errands or heading out for Sunday brunch. I can already picture you pairing these with a tucked-in shirt to show off that high rise and a cute pair of booties. These jeans are just begging to be part of your everyday rotation!

Mid-rise boots are a classic, and everyone needs at least one pair in their closet. The bootcut design is perfect if you’re looking to balance out your body shape and show off your favorite shoes. Plus, the stretch fabric ensures that they move with you for both comfort and style. I like the black, but they come in a ton of other washes.

These slimming, wide-leg jeans are all about comfort and style! The wide-leg design is not only trendy but also incredibly flattering, especially if you want to make your legs look longer. Like some of the others, the high waist offers great tummy control, and the stretchy fabric means they move with you throughout the day. Pair these with a simple tee for a casual look, or dress them up with a stylish blouse for a more polished appearance. If you’re in the market for something a bit different, these jeans are definitely worth a try! They come in other washes, and the price is great!

How about something from a classic brand? These Levi’s 311 Shaping Skinny Jeans are for anyone looking to add some sleek, stylish options to their denim collection. The high-rise design and tummy control features create a smooth silhouette. They’re made with stretch denim, which means you’ll get that snug fit without feeling restricted. These jeans come in various washes, so you can pick the perfect one to match your style. Whether you’re dressing up or down, these jeans are versatile enough to handle it all!

If you’re looking for a pair of jeans that REALLY understands your curves, these curvy bootcut jeans are the way to go. They offer a snug fit at the waist and hips, then gently flare out at the bottom, creating a balanced silhouette. I’ve said this before, but the way they hug and then flare out really makes your silhouette look thinner. Pair them with your favorite boots for a look that’s stylish and effortlessly chic.

Walmart is a great resource for inexpensive clothing, but that doesn’t mean they aren’t stylish! These flare-leg jeans from Walmart are a great blend of comfort and style. Again, these have stretch to the denim which means they’re very comfortable. Because these are dark, they’d be great for casual errands, going to football games, or even dressed up. Whether you’re pairing them with a simple tee or a fancy blouse, these jeans are sure to turn heads. Don’t miss out on adding these stylish options to your wardrobe!

Good American Jeans for Women Over 50

These Good American slim straight jeans are all about that perfect fit! The straight-leg design is versatile and flattering, offering a sleek silhouette without being too tight. LOVE those ankle slits. The high-waist and tummy control features make these jeans both comfortable and figure-friendly. Plus, the denim is super soft!

Last but certainly not least, these Good American skinny jeans are incredibly stylish. The high-rise design and stretch denim hug curves in all the right places for a sleek, flattering silhouette. The tummy control feature adds an extra layer of confidence, making these jeans a perfect fit for any occasion. Dress them up with heels or keep it casual with sneakers—either way, you’ll look and feel amazing. I couldn’t wear them with a tank, but I’d throw on a tunic and hit the streets!

So there you have it, Gurls—my top picks for the best jeans that truly live up to their name! Whether you’re into high-rise jeans for that perfect tummy control or looking for the perfect pair of jeans that will make you feel confident and stylish, these options have something for everyone. Will have to check out the ones from Old Navy.

  15. Ginger Hiller says:

While Old Navy is having a good sale, I plan on buying a pair of the ones you shared with us. I have quite a few pairs of jeans, but maybe I will start wearing them more often if I get a new pair that makes me feel more confident. I think you did a good job taking a selfie on your electric bike.

  16. Linda Thompson says:

Do any of these come in tall sizes? Unfortunately I have very long legs and it’s so difficult to find the lengths I need. I look forward to your blog every day thanks for so many great suggestions.

    1. Tall sizes are harder to find. You might try Old Navy, Gap, Athleta.

  17. I don’t knw a lot of women over 50 who look like these models…

  18. Stella Gustafson says:

    So many cute jeans.

  19. It’s so funny, when I taught, we had to “have permission” to wear jeans on Dress Down Days. Now, retired, I live in jeans in fall/winter and shorts in the summer. Great options.

  20. The things you do to get pictures for us!😂 Glad you didn’t get hurt.
I really like the dark WOW jeans you shared today

  21. Carol Ann Jablonski says:

Call me an old lady; I prefer a high-rise jean/pant. Good thing they are fashionable. Mid-rise tend to slide down as I wear them (especially those with some spandex). Here’s what I question with some of the flared jeans/pants. Where should the hem be? Should they be at the ankle? Graze the top of the toe of your shoe? I’ve seen both in your post; I am confused!

    1. Carol Ann, I think the length depends upon preference. I prefer my jeans longer than some people, but it could be because I have long legs. When I was young, my jeans always seemed too short.

  22. LOL, so glad you are ok! Loved the bike photo! What a great selection of jeans for all. I wish I had those looong legs of the models shown! Ha! Thank you for a great post!
    Have a blessed day!

  23. Gail Harrison says:

Love. Clarks loafers you were wearing a couple of days ago! They should be here soon! Thank you!!!

  24. Old Navy has been my go to for jeans for a long time. I prefer the higher waistline too. On a side note, the zebra blouse is so cute!

  25. Susan Sailor says:

I have the Flying Banana jeans in two lengths and I love them! The fabric is so stretchy-soft!

    1. Susan, thanks for letting everyone know that you love those. ☺️

    2. Great to know. I might try them since all the other jeans are out in my size -and I was excited because most have Tall/longs!

  26. Love a good pair of jeans! Can you tell me which bike you bought from Amazon, please. You look great on it. Is there a learning curve to riding an e-bike?

    1. Joan, we purchased Cyrusher bikes. Joe wanted heavy duty bikes because he wants to go on the creeper trail and other off trail areas. Here is the one I bought. https://amzn.to/477PzBD

      1. Tania, can you recommend a style of jeans that might look good on my body type? I’m 5’3 and while I’m a definite pear shape, my problem area is definitely my abdomen. I’ve had 2 c-sections. As I’ve aged that area continues to sag. I’ve never been able to determine what style of jeans looks best on short women. Thanks in advance for your help!

  27. Love the bike, are you ok after falling?

    1. I’m fine. I just jumped off and let the bike fall. 🤣

  28. Thank you for writing about jeans and jean styles. I bought a few, very expensive wide leg jeans last year and didn’t wear them at all. I see the models in the wide leg jeans and they look silly in them. There is just too much fabric and they are not flattering on anyone, in my opinion. A pair of slim ankle jeans do so much more for the figure. I would wear with a white blouse, drape a colored sweater over your shoulders just in case you get chilly, flats and a good leather bag and you are all set – or at least I would be.

  29. Gurl!!!! Where is your helmet?????

    1. It was on the bike. 🤣 I wasn’t really going on a ride, just passed the camera. I guess that was too far. 🙄
