The Best Shoes for Walking in the Snow While Staying Stylish
It’s that time of year when snowy conditions, slushy streets, and icy sidewalks challenge our footwear game. But don’t worry—I am up for the challenge! Today, I’ve rounded up The Best Shoes for Walking in the Snow While Staying Stylish. These picks combine practicality, comfort, and, of course, style so you can walk confidently, even in the winter months. Whether you’re trekking through deep snow or just need stability on those slick trails, these shoes will keep you warm and dry. And yes, I’ve got tips on how to wear them, too.
This has been my go-to winter coat and boots for several years! The down maxi coat is so warm, and I especially love the maxi length. It has a side zipper that can be adjusted if you are walking, etc.
These snow boots are incredibly warm, and the soles are waterproof, which is great for snow. The style has slightly changed this year, but the boots are the same. They run true to size, but I would size up if I wore thick, heavy socks with them.
The Best Shoes for Walking in the Snow While Staying Stylish – Ankle Sock Look
These tan and white beauties are gorgeous! I LOVE this color combo. The sleek design keeps the bulk to a minimum while still offering plenty of extra warmth for chilly days. The waterproof aspect means you can step into slush without worrying about wet toes, and the rubber outsole gives good traction on icy sidewalks. Nice! Pair them with thicker socks for cozy vibes or leggings and a chunky knit sweater for a polished winter look.
Okay, these soft pink ankle sock boots give off a major chill yet stylish vibe! Designed with a cozy wool blend, these boots are perfect for those days when you want a pop of color while braving the cold. The snug fit provides excellent stability while still being lightweight enough for casual outings. These would pair beautifully with a cream turtleneck and a pair of slim jeans. I think the pink is very feminine, but there are many other more neutral options.
The Best Shoes for Walking in the Snow While Staying Stylish – Fur Lined
Oh my goodness, Gurls, this one is adorable and practical! The short fur-lined bootie combines a snug fit with synthetic insulation for that perfect mix of style and comfort. This shaft hits slightly above the ankle, but there are shorter versions available, too. Plus, the water-resistant suede finish keeps your feet dry during light snowfalls. These would look amazing with cuffed jeans and a cute plaid scarf!
Don’t these look cozy?! If you’re facing deep snow, these tall fur-lined winter boots are your best friend. The nylon and leather upper combo provides durability while the grip-enhanced soles keep you steady on slippery conditions. Perfect for a winter hike or just trudging through snowy neighborhoods. I can see myself pairing these with a long puffer coat and a beanie. The extra height ensures your legs stay warm and dry even on the frostiest days. I like the tan, but they’re also available in other colors. If you have wide feet or like to wear thick socks, go up a half size.
The Best Shoes for Walking in the Snow While Staying Stylish – UGG
UGGs always deliver on comfort, and this pair is no exception! These snow boots feature a water-resistant finish, a plush fur lining, and good traction in slippery conditions. These are the boots you’ll want for a casual stroll or quick errands on snowy days. Wear them with warm socks and an oversized cardigan for a laid-back, cozy look. Bonus—they come in several neutral shades, so they’ll match everything!
Sometimes, less is more, and these plain UGGs are all about timeless style. With their soft suede exterior and cushy interior, they’re great for keeping your feet warm during the winter months. They are also super comfortable on not-so-warm days. Yes, I wear them as slippers; don’t judge. They’re not designed for rough terrain, but they’re perfect for casual days. Throw them on with fleece-lined leggings and an oversized flannel shirt for a cozy-cute outfit!
The Best Shoes for Walking in the Snow While Staying Stylish – Sketchers
These Skechers ankle boots with fur are perfect for those who want to stay stylish without sacrificing comfort. The memory foam midsole adds cushioning, while the rubber outsole provides a solid grip on wet ice or slushy sidewalks. The subtle fur trim is just enough to add a touch of glam, and these are treated with 3M Scotchgard to resist water and stains. Plus, the short heel gives you a tiny lift without compromising stability—win-win!
These ankle boots from Skechers are so cute! Plus, they’d be great for a winter hike or just navigating snowy trails. I love the sporty vibe—they’re made for the outdoors but look chic enough to wear around town. Pair these with a fleece-lined jacket and a knit scarf for a look that’s both rugged and refined. They are also treated with 3M Scotchguard, and I love the split shaft which will help with getting them on and off.
The Best Shoes for Walking in the Snow While Staying Stylish – Waterproof Bogs
Let’s talk Bogs! These boots are built for the coldest, wettest days. With a wicking membrane to keep your feet dry and a soft lining for extra warmth, they’re ideal for trekking through fresh snow or slushy puddles. Wear them with your favorite puffer vest for a fun outdoor adventure look. These boots are tough enough for hikers but stylish enough for fashionistas. These are for those of you who need a really warm, very stable boot. They have a “GlacialGrip” slip-resistant outsole for maximum traction on wintery surfaces. And they are comfort rated to -58 degrees! Wow. The price is a bit more, but these are an investment.

Well, I just ordered the Levi’s long sherpa coat in the chocolate brown. We had a gift card that Amazon applied, bringing the price down to less than $35! I really like the Skechers boot since it has a side zipper.
That’s a fantastic deal!
I love all the boots although part of me is really hoping to not need them. 😁 I don’t mind the snow. It’s the cold temperatures. One good snowfall a year and then it needs to be at least 70.
So many cute choices. I have not tried that mascara yet. Could you one day do a feature about nails? Such as what type of nails to get applied etc. I decided to finally start getting my nails done and there are so many different options now a days. I have no idea where to begin. Your nails always look so nice. I could really use your input. Thanks
I’ve been thinking about doing a nail post for the holidays.
Loved the nice variety of Winter Boot Styles Tania. But the pair that really caught my eye was the Tall Brown W/Fur pair by “DreamPairs”, but then I’ve always been partial to a Knee High Boot whether they’re my Riding Boots, Rain Boots, Mid-Heel or High Heel Boots 🙂 I think these boots will be another nice addition to my Boot Collection to wear with my Jeans or Leggings or with a nice Denim Dress or Skirt for a Date Night out with my Wife. Thanks again Tania I enjoy being one of your Gurly Gurl Followers 🙂
I’m so glad you are enjoying the blog!
I like the Sketchers. I haven’t seen snow since 2021 and I really don’t want to. We did have just regular snow around 2019. It wasn’t bad because it was just regular snow. I even drove in it the next day.
I wear my older Uggs as slippers too! Would u send some snow to South Eastern NC! Its been a couple of yrs! Flurries yesterday, but not much!☃️❄️
I just ordered the Skechers chukka boot. It looks like it will be nice and warm. So cute too! Thanks!
PS. Your grandchildren are adorable!
I absolutely love that coat from Lands End what a bargain at $98
It is soo warm!
The short fur lined snow booties look warm and cute!
I’m so hoping for some snow this winter! It’s been to long since my part of North Carolina has had a decent snowfall.
Thank you! Headed to Boston next week and needed affordable, stylish walking shoes. Saw a couple here that were easy to put on and take off!
Nice selections they would all help me in Minnesota for travel while staying stylish
I love them all!
I wish I could buy each pair 🤣🤣
I will have to check out this mascara!
Have a great day!
Yes! I’ve been hunting down those ankle boots, especially ones good for walking outside! I love the Skechers, but I’ve saved 3 different ones in my cart lol. Thanks!
Love the boots you have posted. Always enjoy your posts. Thanks
I’m jealous that you need snow shoes. In upstate SC, as I type it is 22 degrees. We have not had snow here in the past two winters, not one flake. None so far this season either. Maybe before spring, we could get one good snowstorm. I love it.
All great choices!
Thanks!
