The Best Outfits I Wore From The Last Two Weeks
You are going to laugh at my “best” outfits from the last two weeks. They are nothing special, but the last two weeks were crazy, and I was lucky to have changed out of my pajamas. Some days, I forgot even to take a photo, and other days, I was in a pair of leggings and an oversized sweatshirt, which you’ve already seen. Anyhoo, here are the best outfits I wore from the last two weeks, and give me a lot of grace. Lol!
Casual Style With a Knit Button Shirt and Jeans
Believe it or not, this would rank in my top outfits for any week. I love to be comfortable and casual, but I still want to look like I put a little bit of effort into my outfit.
I’ve worn the Knit long-sleeve button-up top so many times since I bought it. I love the stretchy fabric that fits nicely and is soft against my skin. The long sleeves give me plenty of coverage, and I love that I can scrunch them up when I get hot. The top is available in several colors and is 50% off with the code SAVE50. I’m ordering black and green versions since I know the large fits me great. They are $24.99 after the discount, but you can’t send them back, so I want you to be aware of that.
I am really into wearing leopard shoes, and this pair is cute, comfy, and affordable! The Leopard String Bow Ballet Flats have a memory foam insole, and they fit true-to-size. They are less than $13.00, so this is a great way to dip your toe (or foot) into the leopard print trend.
Classic White Button-Up and Jeans
In February, Joe appeared with me in my What I Wore This Week – From Loungewear to A Date Night post. We went on a date night with some friends, and we both styled something from UNTUCKit. It was the first time I had tried anything from the brand, and since then, it has become a favorite of mine and Joe’s.
I wore the Satin Paisley Wrap Dress (Size 12) for our date night, and Joe had on the Wrinkle-Free Douro Shirt (XL). So many of you commented that you didn’t know that UNTUCKit carried women’s clothing, so I ordered one of their shirts. The Wrinkle-Free Stretch Cotton Bella Shirt is lightweight and fits great. The seaming at the chest gives the top a flattering silhouette, but if you’re looking for a heavier-weight shirt, this is not the one for you. However, for spring and summer, this top will be fabulous since it will be cool.
Here is the length of the shirt from the rear. I wore the SPANX Redefine Flare Jeans with both of the first two outfits. No, I did not wear them back to back; they were worn in different weeks. However, I have worn jeans back-to-back days since they seem to get more comfortable on the second day. Lol! I sized up to a 10 in these jeans, and they fit me great. I LOVE Spanx jeans once you figure out your size.
A Versatile Black Polo Style Dress
In one of my emails, I mentioned that Joe and I spent the night at the Martha Washington Inn. It is a beautiful, older hotel that has a rich history. It was the first time we had stayed there, and the room was breathtaking!
I wore the Lauren Polo dress on the day we were leaving since it was such a beautiful day. This dress is 100% cotton, for all you ladies who struggle with fabrics such as polyester or rayon. It is a nice weight and not flimsy at all. I love the high-low hem that gives you extra coverage in the back. This is a fabulous, sporty style dress that can run errands, play pickelball, or go out to lunch. Add a jacket and jewelry, and you’re ready for a date night with the hubs.
Striped Caridgan and White Pants – The Perfect Travel Outfit
Last weekend, I made the trip to my parents’ house. I usually try to stop in Knoxville on my way down to do a couple of try-on hauls since they have a few stores that aren’t around me. This outfit is what I wore to travel in since it doesn’t wrinkle easily. The striped navy & white cardigan is so comfy and is one of my favorite purchases this spring. It is on FINAL sale and can’t be returned, so be sure to order the size you want or have someone in mind to gift it to if it doesn’t fit. I’m wearing a medium, and it is still roomy.
When I walked in the door, Joe immediately complimented me on the outfit. Then, he complimented me on it several more times that night. I think it is safe to say he liked the look. I have the Endless High Rise Pants in several colors, and I LOVE how they look dressy but feel like I’m wearing loungewear. I also ordered the Brooklyn Mid Rise Ankle Pants in navy, and they feel exactly the same way.
Floral Button-Up Shirt and Chino Wide Leg Pants
I liked parts of this outfit, but I didn’t love the entire look. That happens a lot, and usually, I’ll switch out one or two of the items to make it more to my liking. But I was in a hurry, so I made do with what I had. I like the High Rise Wide Leg Chino Pants and Italian Leather Soft Loafers, but I felt like the floral shirt washed me out.
This oversized floral shirt is sold out in all sizes, so I’ll link similar items below. I liked the feel of this lightweight shirt, but it didn’t do anything for my complexion. Funnily enough, when I was out shopping, I ran into a lady I met last year, and she came over to talk to me. She asked me if I had ever had my colors done, and she wanted to do them for me. If that happens, I’ll take you along with me and see what transpires.
A Spring Must-Have Linen Blazer in Navy
To help with the washed-out issue, I added this navy European Linen Structured Blazer. I love a linen blazer in spring and summer since it looks great with jeans or dresses. I just got this one, and I can’t wait for it to get the wrinkled, lived-in look. That’s when they are my favorite.

Susan, a higher-rise jean with good stretch can make a big difference! Look for styles with a wide waistband that sits smoothly without digging in. Flowier tops or structured layers like blazers can also help balance the look.

She is doing great. She had a reversal, not a replacement. I’m told that the reversal is a little easier to recover from.

I like all the outfits. I like the floral top tucked in with the blazer. Is the blazer lined? I want an unlined linen navy blazer. JCrew factory made one a couple of years. They offered it in an ivory and black. I bought the ivory but I need a dark color too. It’s too hot in summer for a lined blazer in Texas.

FOUND IT I think that the floral top looks better with a narrower leg pant. In the first photo, your top is untucked and flowy and the bottoms are big. Too much “big” going on. You’re too slim for that. Also, the Ralph Lauren dress would look good with the navy striped cardigan you bought.
Carol Ann, I wanted to show the volume of the blouse, but I knew all along that I would be tucking it into the chinos. The Polo dress is black, so I probably wouldn’t wear it with the navy & white striped cardigan.

The outfit that washed you out, appeared to be without a defining shape to it. I liked the top tucked in with the blazer. Also you are right about the color, but more so because the the loose fuller pant with the light top. The top would be pretty on a jean with the light shoe. Just my ideas. You always look great! I like your casual outfits for this week. Really chic! The navy top w/ jeans is perfect as is the white button down w/ jeans. Adding the blazer over the floral helped, a lot! Tucking it in & adding a belt was perfect. It is time for me to get out my LB-Tshirt-D! Love your post and it is fun seeing you DH.
