The Best Lip Oils for Women Over 50
Lip oils are having a MOMENT. Everywhere I turn, I see a new version. What’s the difference between lip oils and lip gloss? Primarily, lip oils tend to be less thick and sticky than traditional glosses. When I was gathering different options, I found that often lip oils are called lip glass and vice-versa. Confusing? That’s why I’m here to help. Today, I’m sharing the best lip oils for women over 50. If it’s a gloss, it’s a sticky-free type.
City Lips Night Oil is a soft, exfoliating formula that leaves my lips feeling hydrated and moisturized. The formula goes on like silk, and don’t tell City Beauty, but I’ve been using this in the morning, too. The ingredients and lip applicator help to exfoliate your lips, leaving them soft and subtle.

This silky lip oil not only gives a natural tint of color but also keeps lips moisturized and plump all day long without feeling sticky. It’s like a little spa treatment with every swipe, thanks to the apple fruit extract and apple seed oil in the mix. Plus, the fact that it’s from NOONI, a brand that believes in simple, effective skincare, means you can feel good about using it. At $11.99, it’s a sweet little indulgence that’s totally worth it.
Who isn’t a fan of Burt’s Bees? This moisturizing applicator is super easy to use, just a twist and a click, lips are drenched in this gorgeous glossy tint that feels as good as it looks. This is a lightweight, moisture-coating lip balm that has RAVE reviews. Over 20,000 people have taken the time to leave a rating, and it has 4.7 stars. That’s a lot of people agreeing that this lip balm rocks. The price varies but it’s around $18 dollars.
Here’s a lip oil from Kylie – Kylie Jenner, that is. I’m not big on celebrity brands, but what’s really cool is the product. It has Lip Plump Complex, Vitamin E, and Coconut Oil in the mix – and it’s not sticky at all. Plus, it’s vegan and has passed the dermatologist test, which is a big win in my book. Whether I use it on its own for a soft plump look or over my lipstick for that extra shine, it works wonders. And for an overnight treat? Absolute perfection!

This lip oil from Clarins is a “comfort oil.” It’s packed with plant oils that drench lips in hydration, leaving them looking plump, shiny, and with just the right touch of color. What I really appreciate is how Clarins is all about responsible beauty – from hand-harvesting Organic Sweetbriar Rose Oil to using eco-friendly extraction processes for Hazelnut and Organic Jojoba Oil. Plus, the packaging is environmentally friendly too! And with such glowing feedback from other users, I’m not the only one loving how it feels.
Ooooh, how I love Dior! This glossy oil is the perfect combo of nourishment, and that glam shine we all love. It’s got cherry oil in it, which keeps lips feeling oh-so-soft. Plus, the non-sticky, lush texture is what everyone is looking for in a lip oil. What’s super cool is the Color Reviver technology adapts to lips’ moisture level, giving the user a unique color while keeping them moisturized. And at $40, it’s a splurge that’s totally worth it for that Dior dazzle.

I’ve been loving the lip oils!
A lot of choices!
Never used lip oil before
As long as we’re talking Lips, let’s not forget the Rodan+Fields Lip Serum!!
Lol!
Never tried a lip oil but I am now.
Going to start with elf glow reviver and apple berry lip oil. So bad about not putting lipstick on and want something that’s not sticky.
Thanks for your post🥰
I’m so excited to try one of these! My lips are SO dry from the winter. Thank you for sharing,
God bless!
I will try the Ulta beauty one thx
I can’t wait to try a lip oil- my lips are always dry.
I love lip stains because they do not transfer to a cup/mug etc…but the sticky topcoat that needs to go on these are just not my thing. (Always had a phobia of someone coming up behind me and throwing a handful of glitter up in the air and ending up with sparkle lips for days…lol)
Is there such a thing that offers all the things??? i.e. color, shine, moisturizing without leaving incriminating prints behind??
Thanks for all you do!!
Lori, I love the idea of glitter lips!!!
I’ve never tried a lip oil. I think I’ll start with ELF & see if I like it. Thanks, Tania!

As a teen, I loved the flavored lip glosses, roll- on, juicy, sticky. Now not so much. Still want to look glossy but not flavors or stickiness. Thanks for this review! Yes to Dior, Kylie not so much, lol.
Thank You for all these options Im going to try the Langeine first.
Your granddaughter is adorable and the makeup application is fun! Also, I had a headache yesterday and all I could think about is your McDonalds french fries!

They changed the code. It is BDAY40
I tried that too & it still doesn’t work?
It works for me, Darlene. I just ordered two bottles. Make sure that you put BDAY40 (all caps) in the coupon box at checkout. It went from 39 to 24 once I put the code in.
