THE BEST FALL ACCESSORY TRENDS FOR 2022
Accessories are like the icing on the cake. In other words, they finish and complete an outfit, taking it from ho-hum to WOW. The great thing about accessories is they are usually reasonably inexpensive, so you can indulge in several items to transform your look.
Today, I’m teaming up with several ladies to discuss the Best Fall Accessory Trends. Cindy Hattersley Design, 1010 Park Place, Most Lovely Things, and Classic Casual Home, and I thought this would be a fun post for you; I hope you check out all the ladies to see their ideas.
How many of you had a bubble necklace? Mine was bright yellow, but I knew someone with these in many colors. I hope you have turned loose of your bubble necklaces along with your infinity scarves so you can make room for newer, more modern-looking items.
If you prefer wearing gold, silver, diamonds, and pearls, those are classic items that aren’t usually affected by trends. However, there are a few exceptions, such as when wearing tri-color gold was extremely popular. Trends aren’t something you HAVE to wear, but they are a great way to update your outfit and keep you from looking dated.
Best Fall Accessory Trends for 2022
Accessory Trends – Pearl Jewelry
Aegean – Five Freshwater Pearl Adjustable String Bracelet (silver with dark grey, tan with white, silver with silver) || Nicole – Rosary Chain and Freshwater Pearl Charm Necklace || Nile – Freshwater Baroque Pearl Charm Bracelet
I know I said pearl jewelry was a classic item, and it is. However, pearl jewelry is having a moment and trending heavily, but in a modern way. Don’t get rid of your classic pearl necklace, but you might want to consider adding a more youthful piece to your collection. Look for unique shapes and combinations; freshwater and baroque pearls are especially popular. Since this trend is one you can wear for years, you can buy a more expensive item. I wrote about how they are timeless, classic, and modern-looking yesterday if you want to see more style.
Amosa – Silver-Tone Freshwater Pearl Baroque Drop Earrings || Nile – Freshwater Baroque Pearl Charm Bracelet || Alana – Hand-Knotted Leather Freshwater Pearl Lariat Necklace
Accessory Trends – Dainty and Layered Look
18kt. Gold Vermeil Cross Necklace || Merrick Chain Necklace || Gold Disc Pendant Necklace in Iridescent Abalone
I’m a fan of large, chunky jewelry, but the dainty and layered trend is slowly growing on me. I made my layered look by combining three necklaces, but it is much easier if you purchase a necklace that has the layering look already done.
Accessory Trends – Chain Link
The paperclip and chain link look is a fall accessory trend. I’ve been wearing the Adeline Chain Necklace since this summer, and I love the look.
Accessory Trends –Handbags
Chunky Chains
Handbags have several trends going on right now. The chunky chain is a popular one, and I love the look. This quilted crossbody can be carried with the chain or by using the guitar strap. (another big trend)
Guitar StrapÂ
Stadium Bags
My DIL owns this one, and she loves it.
Accessory Trends – Felt Hats
I’m not big into hats, mainly because of my hairstyle. I love hats on other people, but I have difficulty finding ones that look good on me. I also have a large head, but no “big head” jokes are allowed. Haha!

So many fun pieces. I love chain link bags and the flat hats too.
Not to be rude, but do you mind sharing your height and weight, for reference?
Sharon, I don’t mind at all. I’m 5’6″ tall, and I weigh between 150-155.
This was fun! Thanks for inviting me. I hope you do it again. And thank goodness you didn’t feature stirrup pants. The pants were clean, but the stirrups smelled like feet. No thanks! xoxox, Brenda
Discovered your site this year & look forward to seeing what you have to say. During Covid I let myself go Grey! Still struggling with how it looks when I see myself. I was told that I shouldn’t wear gold jewelry. Stay with silver. What are your thoughts?
Roberta, I’m not sure about which color you should wear, silver sounds like it would look great. You can find lots of jewelry not than have both silver and gold, so that is another option.
Hi Tania
I must say I am loving each trend you have suggested except the stadium bag! I am way to messy for that one. i am afraid it would look like the inside of my refrigerator, ha ha. I love the layered dainty necklace look. I need to embrace that one. I do love hats! Great job, and thank you so much for joining us!
What a fun and informative post!
I just checked out your blogger friends and realized that I know your friend Mary Ann from when our (now 30 year old) kids were in preschool together! She moved from FL many years ago but I will be sure to follow her now! Thank you, Tania!
So many pretty accessories! Now that we have season football tickets…those stadium bags make a lot of sense to get through security!
Love pearls and chain link jewelry. Thanks for doing this with us!
