The Best 4th of July Outfits For Now And Later

I love celebrating holidays with outfits that are “themed” for the occasion. However, I also love to get my money’s worth from an outfit, and that means being able to wear it in multiple ways. So, today, I’m going to show you some of the best 4th of July outfits that you can wear now AND later.
The Best 4th of July Outfits For Now And Later With White Jeans
Most of the time, it is hot and humid on the 4th of July. I like wearing shorts and dresses to keep cool, but there are times when I want to be covered up. My first look is one that would be perfect for my ladies who love a good casual classic look.

You can’t go wrong with a Striped Classic Button Down Shirt. This is a new purchase for me, so I wasn’t sure how the sizing would run. I ordered a large, but I’m going to return it for a medium. I love the feel of this shirt and it is one that I can see myself wearing in multiple ways.

I’ve had this navy Charming Shell for a while. I love this style shell since it has nice wide straps that hide your bra. I have this shell in multiple colors, and a large fits me the best.

To change the look, I tied the striped shirt at the waist but didn’t button it up. I like that you can see the navy shell underneath. The white jeans I am wearing are by NYDJ. The Ankle Jeans fit great, and I love the length of them. You can wear them with heels, flats, or sandals. I paired them with a minimal pair of Bone Flip Flops.

I’ve owned this Striped Ruffle Cap Sleeve Blouse for a year or more, and it still looks fabulous. This outfit is great for celebrating the 4th of July since it contains navy and white stripes. You could add a touch of red with accessories or keep it simple.

This blouse is super cute with a feminine touch. The ruffles at the neckline and sleeves are delicate and tasteful. I’ve worn this top with jeans, skirts, and shorts, and it also looks great with khaki and olive.

Once again, I’m sharing an outfit with long sleeves. You can easily push up the sleeves for a 3/4-length look, and I’ve worn the blouse differently below.

This Long-Sleeve Woven Blouse is a tunic length, which is great for wearing with leggings. However, wearing a long top can make your legs look short. Here is a quick fix for that, and anyone can do it.

I gathered the blouse together in the center and used a hair tie to create a “ponytail.”

Then I tucked the tail into the waistband so it wouldn’t fall out. I also tucked up the back of the shirt, but you can leave it longer. I added my White Chain Link Sandals and White Round Drop Earrings to dress up the outfit and make it an elevated casual look.
The Best 4th of July Outfits For Now And Later With 7″ Denim Shorts

I chose a longer pair of shorts for my next outfits. Most of you have mentioned that you prefer longer shorts, and I like this 7″ pair. They aren’t too short or too long; they are a perfect length.

Here is another casual 4th of July outfit that can be worn in multiple ways. The white Short Sleeve Swiss Dot Blouse is very versatile and can easily be dressed up or down. If you hate tops that show your rolls, then you’ll love this flowy one. I’m wearing a large and it fits me perfectly without a lump or bump showing.

I added a touch of red with a very old pair of sneakers. I’ve had these so long that the inner sole is starting to rip. I need to order some insoles to replace them.

You might have noticed that I’m choosing items for my “base” look, and then you can add anything you want to make it more festive. This simple outfit would look cute with a 4th of July ball cap or a pair of red, white, and blue earrings. Those accessories are affordable ways to add a festive touch to any outfit.

This Sweater Vest is perfect for summer. I like the tortoise shell-style buttons, two small pockets, and wide straps.

I love no-tie sneakers! Bending over to tie my laces is a pain in the rear, so I’ve worn Sperry Crest Vibe Sneakers for years. Normally, I wear white ones, but I added this navy pair today.

This outfit, or one like it, has been my go-to this summer. I fell in love with this Linen Blend Button-Up Shirt when I bought it earlier this year. I usually prefer pullover tops and sweaters instead of button-up shirts. But this one changed my mind!

I’ve worn it buttoned like I did today, but I’ve also worn it open with a tank underneath. I also like wearing it tied at my waist and even over a swimsuit. I loved it so much I also bought the shirt in flax, but the navy one is the one I wear the most.

I know you’ve seen me wear these Statement Earrings in Gold before. They are so beautiful in person and I like how they can elevate a casual outfit like the one I’m wearing today. I’ve worn these with jeans and a T-shirt, and they looked great.

Here is another casual outfit that can be worn anytime. Add the accessory of your choice to give a festive vibe to your look.

Is there anything more versatile than a white button-up shirt? I like just wearing an Oversized Shirt with jeans during the summer. It manages to walk the line between casual and elevated casual, and it is always super cute.

I wear sneakers if I’m going to be standing for longer periods. I ordered these Vionic Mesh Sneakers, and they are so comfortable! I love white-on-white sneakers, especially in the summer, and I can easily throw them in the washer if they get dirty. These are no-tie shoes (you know I like this style), so I don’t have to be worried about bending over to tie the laces.

I thought this little stars v-neck sweater tank was the cutest thing! I don’t think I would pair them with these patterned pants, but instead, I would go for a white pair of shorts or pants. You could add a pop of red with a handbag, lip color, or earrings.

While we’re on the topic of the Fourth of July, I couldn’t leave out this classic v-neck Americana flag sweater. This is a timeless piece you can pull out year after year, plus you can wear it for Memorial and Veteran’s Day! If you live in a hot climate, you can opt for this short sleeve flag tee instead.
I hope you enjoyed all of these 4th of July outfits that you can wear now AND later. Let me know in the comments which one (or two) were your favorite.

l love them all ! They look fabulous on you. I may skip the shorts.
Cute picture of you & Joe. I can’t pick a favorite. The red sneakers are perfect. I have a patriotic tee from Love in Faith that I’m wearing to a dermatologist appointment tomorrow. When we have our neighborhood fireworks show at our lake house Friday night, I’m wearing a pair of pull on Kim Roger’s patriotic shorts with a red tshirt. Of course, I’ll have to use bug spray, but that’s okay.
I love the casual vibe on all of thse outfits, and the ways
