TAKE ADVANTAGE OF THE SALES RACKS

Joe and I made it Florida safe and sound. It was a long drive but we had a good time traveling together. Joe and I work together at the lumber company every day however we don’t really see each other or talk to each other during the day. He is busy and I am busy and we don’t have a lot of time for just sitting still and communicating. It made the really long trip more fun and now I sort of look forward to the trip back home. Sort of. Lol!Every time we travel we start to wonder why we don’t travel more often. It is wonderful getting out of town for a few days just to recharge and energize. It could be too far, too expensive, worrying about the dogs, worrying about the lumber company, or even just that I am too busy. I have no idea why I am like that but it is like you have to use dynamite to blast me out of the house. Is this an age thing? Do even of you feel this same way? I don’t “want” to be like that. I would love to just pack an overnight bag and head out of dodge for a long weekend once a month. Maybe when I get back home I will see if I feel the same way. If I do, then you gurls can give me some suggestions on nearby places to visit. The Labor Day sales are gearing up and you NEED to be taking advantage of the huge savings. I know it is hard to part with money for items that you think you might not get a lot of wear out of right now but next summer you will be thanking yourself for being so smart. It is like a summer Christmas when you start looking through your summer clothing and keep coming across items that are “new” for you to wear. I have been shopping some of the local boutiques for their sales racks and this top was one that I found. I picked up this top for 15.00 because I knew that I was going to need some casual clothing for my trip to Florida. I have plenty of office casual clothing but I am lacking on the running around town casual type clothing. This top was perfect because it is comfortable, casual, cute, cheap, and cool. The bracelet on the left is the Corey and the bracelet on the right is the Barbara. I like the boho look of the Corey and I like the bold look of the Barbara. Both are cute and very different. The Corey is magnetic and both of these bracelets have extra links that make them adjustable. How do you like the way I am wearing my BELIEVE necklace? I have just doubled the chain and let the pendant hang through the loop. This is just another way to make your purchases work in more than one way. Here is a close-up view of the Imogene necklace. It is 33″ long and has light gray, dark gray, and taupe accents. Even though you can’t see in this picture the stones really have nice sparkles to them. They are faceted to give off extra shine and light. This was one of the last items I ordered from the Spring catalog and it has become one of my favorites.  Everybody needs a pair of pull on and go crop pants. This pair is a deep taupe or mushroom color so they will match anything. I liked the side ruching at the hem line, I thought the extra detail was nice. There are several items in my closet that I know will work when I am in a hurry and just want to run down the road. I still want to look nice so no pajama bottoms or oversized sweatpants. Lol!


This pair of Rocketdog shoes feels like mocassins. I have had them for years and they still look the same as when I bought them. They have the distressed and worn look about them which is exactly why I picked them. I don’t normally wear a loafer style shoe but this pair works for me. It could be the lighter color or the linen material but either way, I like the style and the fit.
