STYLING A CHIFFON VEST
I was under the impression that my daughter would be taking off work on the 3rd to stay home with us and that she would be off the 4th for the holiday. I thought she would be working the rest of the time we were there and that we would see her and do things in the afternoons. I told Joe that we would have plenty of time to rest because she couldn’t make us do something if she wasn’t home. WELL, that is not what is going to be happening. Exactly the opposite, she is working Monday the 3rd and is off for the rest of the time we will be in Alaska. ? You don’t understand, she will MAKE us go hiking, go walking, go to the glaciers, go out fishing on a commercial fishing boat, go, go, go, go. That girl does not know the work “rest.” She has already invited me via FaceBook to a “Meat and Greet” which is a BBQ. Come to find out “Joe and I” are the Greet. She has invited her friends to come out and meet us and have a BBQ. We attended a similar BBQ the last time we were there and they are a lot of fun.
This outfit is one that I wore back a month ago and it somehow slipped through the cracks. I was cleaning up my photos and I noticed that this one had never made the blog. It was not a “homerun” for me so I probably left it out on purpose. Lol! However, I feel like you need to see the struggles I go through on a daily basis, just like you do. I like the double ruffle hem top from Easel. I love the dusty purple color and the double ruffle hem. Notice the long sleeves. You will probably see me in several of these type tops while I am in Alaska. Lol! The long chiffon sheer vest is one that I bought at the overstock store in town. I was immediately drawn to the florals. There are such a wide variety of colors in this vest that if would go with almost anything.
My ankle pants are the Pixie Pants from Old Navy. The Pixie Pant is my go-to pant, I wear them all year round. When I buy the stretchy version with spandex I will size up and if I buy the chino version then I stay true to size. I paired my crochet Nevaeh sandals c/o Nina Shoes with the outfit. They are really easy to slip on and the cork bottom makes them really comfortable to walk in.
Do you know what my number one referrer page is? It is Pinterest! I truly appreciate every time you “pin” a picture. Heck, pin ALL the pictures if you want. Lol! Also, if you would like to share my posts on Facebook or Twitter, I would appreciate that. It helps get my blog out to more people, and I am sure you just want to spread the entertaining sayings I have. Lol! The comment section is at the end of the post, so keep scrolling. I look forward to reading all the comments, they make my day.

Enjoy your Alaska vaca with your daughter and just post pics of your trip…we will love it!
Very excited for you & your upcoming travels. Btw, I just started taking thyroid meds myself; my doc only prescribes snythetic/Synthroid -and I have no energy at all. 🙁 You have so much energy so you obviously have it all figured out. Guessing you are on the better more natural meds than myself.
Regina, that is what I am on also. It just takes some adjusting to get the dose correct.
Thank you, Tania. You give me great hope! I’m new to this; just a handful of weeks in. I dearly hope I have your success. Crossing fingers. And now I know one more reason I felt a bond to you. lol. Good luck with packing, btw – and I wish you & Joe safe travels!
meant that I HOPE I have your success!
Hi Tania, I see another darling outfit today! The earrings are so cute, they’re like a throwback to the 1960’s. Since your daughter is going to force activities upon you (ha), please don’t forget your camera! I’d love to see pics of Alaska especially from a fishing boat and hiking trails. I watch those veterinary shows from Alaska on tv, and the landscape looks like something out of a painting!
I will probably just use my iPhone as a camera. It is way too much trouble to lug around the big camera and since phones have become so good with cameras, they do just find.
Very pretty look, Tania! These are your colors!!
You can pull off any outfit. You look so fabulous and classy! I’m in my 60’s . I love the colours you choose too. As we get older I think we need more colour in our outfits or accessories.
