STYLING A HALF-ZIP JACKET

Happy Friday!!! It is time to let the party get started! We are kicking the weekend off with Friday with Friends, and you are going to love my blogger friend today. Kellyann has been blogging around the same amount of time as myself. I think I started in September of 2015, and she began in April 2016. We have a lot in common besides both being relatively new bloggers. We are both blondes, we are both “glass half full” kind of girls, and we both love wearing lots of colors! Plus, if that wasn’t enough similarities, she also believes in finding clothing items as cheap as possible, but still looking good. See…I told you that we were a lot alike. Before we get started talking about my outfit, I want to tell you something that I did on the way home Wednesday. You know that I LOVE sharing stories about the antics of Joe, but today I am going to fess up to having a “what are you thinking” moment. I had been driving for several hours, and Joe decided that he would drive the rest of the way home. I am cold natured and freeze all of the time. However, Joe is just the opposite, and he is warm all the time. My favorite features on my car are the heated seats and the heated steering wheel. I don’t care if it has a radio, but I want my butt warmer. Joe took over the driving, and I started working on the next day’s blog. I wasn’t paying a lot of attention to him, but I could see him fiddling with the seat controls. In a few minutes, he asked me how to turn on the seat “Cooler.” First off, I have NEVER turned on the seat cooler, so how was I to know where the dang button was? Lol! I pushed the button right about the normal seat warmer button and said, “there you go.” Joe looked at it and asked me why the button was red also, like the warmer button. I said that I didn’t know and that you would think that a car company would have at least made the cool button to be blue. We both giggled at how smart WE were and how silly those engineers who designed the car were. In just a few minutes, Joe said I want you to feel my back, I am sweating it is so hot. I felt, and his back was almost wet, and it was very, very hot. I reached over and clicked the button until it went off and then I noticed a different button that was to the side of the other two. I pushed it, and a bright BLUE light came on. The look on our faces was priceless as e both just busted out laughing. In a few minutes, Joe looked at me and said, “blog-worthy!” Lol!!!
The last time that I wore this half-zip jacket, I wore it with a plain white long sleeve t-shirt like I had on yesterday. Today, I thought that I would be bold and do a pattern on pattern look. I’ll be honest, the pattern on pattern style is not my normal style, but I like to step out of my comfort zone sometimes. The half-zip jacket is by Crown & Ivy, a brand that I love that is carried by Belks. For some of you that are like me, you probably still call it Parks-Belk. Lol! I like this casual style item since it is cozy and comfortable, but it is still polished and stylish. Check out the cute ones below.

It has been a while since I have worn my Ashton earrings. I still like them, but I had put others in front of them, and I couldn’t see them. I thought the design of the earring mimicked the design in the top. Lol! I am fancy like that! Hahaha! The earrings have about a 3-inch drop and a wonderful filigree pattern. The Jefra necklace is a plain gold bar with a stamped initial on one side. I will choose this necklace when I need something to fill the void left by a v-neck or open-collared shirt. I thought that you might want to see the button up shirt worn un-tucked. I like the casual look, but I know some of you would rather not see the shirttail hanging out. This shirt is old as the hills, and I bought it from Van Heusen at an outlet store many years ago. I like the small blue stripes and the fact that it doesn’t have to be ironed. I love low maintenance items.

Remember to check out Kellyann at This Blonde’s Shopping Bag, and give her an extra hug. She recently lost her father, and I know that you gurls will be sweet to her. I cried the entire time that I was reading her post the other day; it broke my heart.

Yesterday was a very exciting day! It was the day that so many teens and young adults were able to purchase the new Spotless 2-step regimen. The results that I have seen have honestly been fantastic, and because my daughter suffered from acne, I know what it will mean to these young people to finally have their skin cleared up. Days like yesterday fill me with pride at being associated with this company.
