HOW TO STAY STYLISH AT A BALLGAME

50 IS NOT OLD | HOW TO STAY STYLISH AT A BALLGAMEDid you see my blog post on Saturday? In that post, I talked about going to see my grandsons play tee-ball. It was like a flashback to when Joseph was young and we lived at the baseball field all summer. I went to every practice and stayed there the entire time. Riding the bench was a past time. You get to know all the kids, their parents, and the coaches. When my mom would drive up from Tennessee she would go to the games, (baseball, football, basketball, and volleyball) and she got to know the kids and their parents from watching them play. To this day if I mention someone she knows who I am talking about and who their parents are just because she watched them play ball when they were young. Lol!
50 IS NOT OLD | HOW TO STAY STYLISH AT A BALLGAMEI wore this to Livingston on Thursday for a couple reasons. I love to travel in comfort and will always try to pick something stretchy and casual to travel in if I can. And also, I knew that we could be running late and have to immediately go to the baseball game so I wanted to wear something baseball appropriate. In baseball season I would always have blankets, afghans, seats for the bleachers, umbrellas, coolers, and even gloves and a large coat in the vehicle. I have been to many games where it would snow!!! Joe wanted to know why I was not looking “nicer.” I told him that this is what you wear to a baseball game!!! I think he expected me to wear a dress and heels. Lol!!! 50 IS NOT OLD | HOW TO STAY STYLISH AT A BALLGAME Because a baseball game is played outdoors you better be prepared for the worst. I knew a cool spell was happening right now and that the game didn’t start until 6:00 pm so I wanted a warm top to wear. I chose this distressed sweatshirt because it is still fashionable but it is warm. I like the color combination and I like that this top is longer. I like being able to wear leggings and I want something that will cover my tush. This sweatshirt meets my requirements. If you noticed in the blog post on Friday, Momma and Joe both had on jackets to keep warm.

50 IS NOT OLD | HOW TO STAY STYLISH AT A BALLGAME Just because I am wearing a sweatshirt does not mean that I will not wear jewelry. With the maroon and gray shirt, I thought about wearing only silvertone jewelry but I wanted to wear the necklaces I have on (You’ll find out why in a minute) so I decided to wear BOTH silver and gold. It is fine to mix the two together. The earrings I have on are called Bowie. These are very lightweight and dainty. I know they are long but the circles are thinner and not very thick. The bracelets I have on are Alex and Ani. I like being able to wear inspirational jewelry and each one of these bangles has a meaning behind the symbol.  50 IS NOT OLD | HOW TO STAY STYLISH AT A BALLGAME Both of my sons and even my daughter would always choose the number 12 to wear if they could when they played sports. That tradition is now being carried on by my grandchildren. Huttson wears number 12 on the ballfield, so I ordered the 1 and the 2 in the Rory necklace. I wore just the number 1 the other day on my RODANniversary since I was celebrating 1 year and also because Rodan and Fields are now the number 1 skincare line in the US. You just never know how you can wear these necklaces. Lol! It is almost time for a new party, but for now, we are still using tania10. 50 IS NOT OLD | HOW TO STAY STYLISH AT A BALLGAME The distressed denim leggings are super comfortable and are the perfect choice for a ballgame or traveling. Someone commented the last time that I wore these that it looked like there was something on them. I agree, it kind of looks like they have paint on them. I am sure it is supposed to look like jeans that have been worn out but either way I think they are cute AND stylish.

50 IS NOT OLD | HOW TO STAY STYLISH AT A BALLGAMEThis is how I looked most of the game. Lol! I am not a quite fan when I go to these games. I try to yell and clap for all the kids when they get on base, score, etc. I even clap for the opposing team when they get a good hit or make a great play. These are just kids and they are out to have a good time.50 IS NOT OLD | HOW TO STAY STYLISH AT A BALLGAMEWooHoo!!! The victory was fun celebrating. Haha! I am glad Joe didn’t see me taking these pictures. I am sure he would have given me a hard time over them. I even got tickled myself in trying to come up with some of them. I am cracking up in a couple of them.50 IS NOT OLD | HOW TO STAY STYLISH AT A BALLGAMEYou have to practice your “We are number 1!” pose. This is something all the kids know how to do. If you have not gotten you a pair of Chuck Taylors, now would be a good time. There are sales EVERYWHERE!!! I did a small post on some of the sales on Saturday if you want to use those links. I noticed when I was linking tonight that Talbots has, even more, savings today. 40%off 1, or 50% off 2+ in bag. Be sure to check that out.
