I like to change my lipstick colors frequently. However, I’ve been using this trio for about a month, and I have no desire to change it anytime soon. I’m using Merit Beauty’s Signature Lip Liner in the color Coupe. Then, I use Signature Lip Lightweight Lipstick, a satin, extremely creamy lipstick, and finish with Shade Slick Tinted Lip Oil in Pointelle for added sheen. Merit is a clean beauty company, and I’ve been slowly incorporating more of their products into my routine.

Love this post! I’ve been on a loo-ong hunt for the perfect (for me) lipstick. I wanted a creamy shine–my matte lipstick days are no more–with good color saturation that would stay on and not dry my lips. I mean is that too much to ask? But I’ve found it! It’s the shiny cousin of the matte Maybelline you posted. SuperStay Vinyl Ink and under $10. Eat and drink and brush your teeth, it stays! There’s still a trace of color the next day. The shine will fade after several hours, but I just put on a coat of clear gloss.

I never realized that I was allergic to something in most lipsticks. My lips would feel funny and peel. But I found Clinique’s chubby sticks are ok and also Kylie lip kits. No more peeling. Who knew.

Joan, are you buying the same(ish) color over and over? Try going out of your comfort zone. I tend to like plums, mauves the most, but I also leaning into neutrals and muted reds.

Found it. A highlight when I was young was the Avon lady stopping by and leaving one of the mini lipsticks for us. Maybe that inspired my love of lip products.
