Sunday was a fantastic day. I didn’t do anything work related until 8:45 pm when I started writing on the blog. I took a much needed “off” day and just enjoyed the moment. I took Emersyn to church with me to start the day off right. She was an angel through the entire service. She didn’t go to a class for those her age because she was a little afraid. It was so cute though because she was sitting on the aisle seat and she was leaning out into the aisle and listening to the preacher talk.
We went out to eat afterward and her mom and dad joined us. When it got time to leave, she announced that she would be going home with “NeeNee.” We went to her house to let her change clothes and then on to my house. After playing in the yard with the soccer ball and playing in the bus (the RV) we went in and took a nap. We told stories and giggled until her eyes started to close. When she woke up we went to TCBY for some yogurt and then hit the donut shop right next door for a dozen doughnuts. I would venture to say that she was still going strong about 2:00 am this morning. Haha! I am not sure they will let her come with me again for a while. Lol!
Spring weather is unpredictable. It has gotten chilly again and is not supposed to be warm for the next week. I have always heard that until May 12th that you could still have a frost. I had to drag a couple of my winter sweater back out but I wanted it to still be springy. The way I accomplished this was in the jeans and in the accessories. My navy sweater is one that I bought from Old Navy but I am not sure how long ago that was. The arms have a different texture than the rest of the body giving it some visual interest.
I know you have been eyeing this necklace and bracelet set. This was another one of those things that I didn’t order right away because I didn’t think I would like it when I saw it in the book. I am so glad though that I saw someone put up a post in one of the FaceBook groups I am in and I got a better look at it. I can not stress enough how different the jewelry looks in person!!! It has dangles that move when you walk and rhinestones that catch the sun and sends sparkles everywhere. You can just not capture that with a photograph. The necklace is called the Alexis and the bracelet is called the Ashley. The earrings were in one of the past Posse sets that I bought and are not available for purchase. Be sure to check back to see how to enter to win. I have opened a new party and that URL is plunderdesign.com/party/tania8so if you click on a link and it does not tell you that you are shopping in this party, please let me know.
Believe has been my word for this year. You have heard me say that time and time again. Amy, a blog reader, and frequent commenter started her own jewelry company on FaceBook. She was so sweet to send me this bracelet that she made from an old spoon and a piece of leather. She is really talented and her business is doing great. You can see her items at Heart&Soul Creations on FaceBook.
I am trying an experiment with my camera. It has been giving me “fuzzy” shoes for the past little bit and I am trying something different to see if I can get clearer pictures. This looks better but I am still in the “fiddling” phase and I am not completely happy. I bought these shoes last year from the overstock store in town. I am going to have to go up there one day and just film me shopping around so you can get the full effect. I don’t think you fully understand how small this store is. These shoes are by Marc Fisher and I love the lighter tan leather with the gold rings. Also, you can’t see very well but the base is cork and in a wedge. The wedge is the easiest type heel to wear for those not used to wearing anything but flats.
Since I wanted this look to be spring looking I decided to wear this pair of pale mint green jeans. The color is actually a little more green than it appears in the photo. This is the first pair of pastel jeans that I have ever owned. I do not normally wear pastel clothing, it just doesn’t appeal to me. However, I have worn these jeans quite a bit and it is probably because it is not up next to my face. Here is where I wore them last summer with gray, a color I would never have thought would have looked good with pale green. BUT, I went to the hairdresser later in the day and somehow managed to get some color on the front of my leg. I don’t think it is going to come out. ? BTW, the pictures that I link to may not show the color that you are looking for but they come in more colors once you click the picture. Take the red pair below, it comes in the pale green color it just wouldn’t let me choose that color for the link.
I hope you have enjoyed today’s post. I only like one more thing to talk about and that is my hot pink Vera Bradley tote. This purse was a staple last year and it looks like I will still be carrying it this year. I thought I would probably only carry it in October for Breast Cancer Awareness month, but I was wrong. I have actually gotten bolder since I started the blog. How many of you have gotten bolder with your color choices since you have been following me? I would like to think that my blog has been a positive influence on your wardrobe choices.
I am giving away a gorgeous bracelet and necklace today as part of my birthday month giveaway. Each Friday there will be an entry post and on each Monday I will announce the winner. Siri picked the winner and it was Gloria Sequeira. Gloria, you will be getting an email from me soon to get your address. Congratulations!!!
I am also giving away an item associated with Rodan and Fields daily on my personal Facebook page. If we are not friends, be sure to send me a request so that you can enter those daily. I love the products and try to give away as many samples as I can. If you win a sample from me the only thing I ask is feedback from you telling me about your experience. R+F doesn’t have very many products in the sample size because they have a 60-day money back guarantee on all their products. They consider EVERYTHING to be a sample size. Lol!
I want to thank everyone who has signed up for my emails. I promise you only get one email a day from me and I don’t give out your email addresses, that would just be weird. Lol! I FINALLY hit that magical 5000 mark, woohoo! That calls for a celebration!!! What better way to celebrate than with a giveaway. Comment below for a chance to win this gorgeous bracelet.
Also, if you would like to share my posts on Facebook or Twitter, I would appreciate that. It helps get my blog out to more people, and I am sure you just want to spread the entertaining sayings I have. Lol! The comment section is at the end of the post, so keep scrolling. I look forward to reading all the comments, they make my day.

Congrats on your milestone! I love your posts, they help so much for fashion ideas. All my kids are grown and living on their own, they used to help me with styling (at least my three daughters, not my son so much. 🙂 }. That is a beautiful bracelet.
Your blog, your fashion sense and your faith inspire me every day. You are such a good example for us all! And yes, you’ve given me ideas to be bolder and use color combinations I would never have thought of before.
