SPRING WEATHER IS CRAZY
Redbud winter! Have you heard of that before? Whenever the Redbud trees are blooming we always seem to have a cold spell. You may not have Redbud trees where you are from but they bloom the most gorgeous light reddish-purple bloom. I can remember as a child thinking they should be called Purplebud trees. Lol! For those who have never seen one if full bloom here is a photo for you.
I should have put the picture of the Redbud on my blog post yesterday. It would have matched my cropped wrap perfectly. I want to tell you about my friend JoBeth. She is such a wonderful person, momma, friend, clubwoman, and an unbelievably talented writer. This month is Autism Awareness Month and this is near and dear to her heart because her son Josh is autistic. JoBeth wrote an article about coming to grips with this knowledge and shared it with GFWC, (General Federation of Women’s Clubs) I am so proud of JoBeth and all she does to bring awareness and understanding to Autism. I am doing a very small part by selling an Autism necklace and 20% of the proceeds are going to the GFWC Grundy Woman’s Club. (approx. 5.60 per purchase) These necklaces can be purchased by going here and picking which item you want. The necklaces come in silver and a burnished gold color and sell for around 28.00. These are the “personalized necklaces” so you purchase the necklace first then email me. I will send you the picture you want and then give you the directions on how to personalize the pendant. The one design cut off a little, it says accept understand love.
My striped button-up shirt is one that I bought at Van Heusen a couple years ago. I like this shirt because it is “no-iron.” That is my very favorite type shirt. I hate getting the iron out and ironing because by the time I make it to work it looks wrinkled again. I used to spend all day on Saturdays ironing mine and Joe’s clothes until he told me to stop. He said that they were getting wrinkled in the closet (because I have them jammed in there) and why was I wasting my time. I love that man! ❤️
I am actively trying to grow my Plunder and Rodan and Fields teams. I am thinking April is going to be the month for big things. Plunder is launching a new Spring line. It is now “live!!!” If you would like to try any of the new jewelry then go to my party to place the order. If you are interested in finding out about all the wonderful advantages to being on my Plunder team just let me know. I am offering an extra piece of jewelry for all those who join Team Shimmer and Shine this month!!!
Rodan and Fields are also moving and shaking. They have a Spring Renewal Gift Set that is while supplies last. A perfect gift for Mother’s Day, Graduation, Birthday’s, etc. BUT, the really big announcements are still coming!!! A new product, one that will work for every regimen. This product has already hit the magazines as the product you “must” have. I am anxiously waiting, all I know is it has to do with Hydration. For a person who has skin like the Saraha Desert, this is a much-welcomed product. THEN, in May on my BIRTHDAY, Rodan and Fields is launching into Australia! I am so excited for Tracey and Valerie who have opted to join my team in Australia. I think big things are going to happen for them. It is not too late to join me if you live in Australia. The pre-enrollment is free and you still have time for training. If anyone joins my team in April, (US, Canada, or Australia) I will gift you a FREE Redefine Multi-Function Eye Cream, aka ? “eye crack!” ?(must join with a business kit)

We have Redbud trees here in New Mexico and I love them! We have a small young one in our front yard. Nice outfit today.
Tania, like the outfit. I duplicated your jeans and white shirt outfit today and wore my “Jean” earrings and “Nellie” necklace. And matched up some other of my jewelry, and was told what a great look. I had on sandals though, as I was getting a pedi.. The weather is crazy here, 50 degrees and RAIN yesterday, and 80 degrees and beautiful today. Have a great day!!
Jeanne, I love hearing this kind of story. Compliments are such boosters to our morale.
Yes Tania, they are!! Sometimes they come just at the right time. 😉
I really like how you are able to style a classic shirt under a bohemian cape and make it look so naturally good! So clever! I have a big bust so can’t wear those button down shirts so I always admire someone who can! Love the necklaces too!

My ex-Mother-in-law taught me about “redbud winter” and the other “winters”. I also thought they should be called purple bud – didn’t make much sense to me..ha ha! Love your blog!
I love this look! There is nothing worse than a cold spell when you are wishing for a warm-me-up Spring. Keeping the blouse fresh while adding a layer of warmth with the boots, jeans and poncho is just the ticket! You look fabulous!
I totally know this feeling, Tania!! I’m pulling my boots back out because we got snow last night—eeeek!!

That’s a super outfit, very wearable. I’m starting to get into shirts more and yours is a classic. I’m glad you went ahead and treated yourself to the purse, I would buy it for the straps alone!
