50 IS NOT OLD | SOUTHWESTERN STYLELet the weekend begin!!! I am ready to relax but that isn’t going to happen. Instead, I am running around like my head is cut off trying to get everything done before I leave tomorrow and head to my sisters in Atlanta. We will be flying out on Monday heading to San Diego!!! WooHoo, here we come. Any of you gurls got any suggestions on things we need to do? We will have a couple days of free time before the Convention starts on Wednesday. I looked at the weather and it doesn’t look like it is going to be very warm. Guess what I have laid out to pack? If you said short sleeve attire then you would be correct. Ding, ding, ding!50 IS NOT OLD | SOUTHWESTERN STYLEI am hoping that since the high this week here has been in the 30’s that temperatures in the high 60’s will feel like a heat wave. I am looking forward to spending some quality time with my sister. We live 6 hours apart and only get to see each other for 2 or 3 days at a time a couple times in the year. As we have gotten older we have grown closer. She has gotten more tolerable. Hahaha! I do talk to her on the phone 2 or 3 or 7 mornings as we both get ready to face the day. She tells me all about her job, her family, and her new book (coming to a store near you soon.) I tell her all about my job, my family, and my blog. We are both pretty busy which is hilarious if you know either one of us. We are about as laid back as they come. We don’t get stressed, we are the glass half-full kind of gurls, and we make lemonade out of lemons. I think we must both be adopted because those traits did not come from our parents. Lol!50 IS NOT OLD | SOUTHWESTERN STYLEI just want to say that I was having a good hair day. Haha! No, this is not my new haircut (which is remarkably like the old haircut) I have a couple of pictures taken ahead of time. The new “do” is really just a new color and it is very subtle. I’ll probably have to tell you when I put it on or you’ll never even notice. The first thing I see when I look at this picture is the cardigan. Honestly, I was not a fan when I first got it, but I admit that it has grown on me. When I wore it here last February, it just looked off. I like today’s look better, maybe it is the boots or maybe the jewelry. It might even be the hair color, I can’t really put my finger on it because the looks are similar but this one just looks better. Can you spot the difference?50 IS NOT OLD | SOUTHWESTERN STYLEI think the short necklace is adorable. I love the bib style with the hanging pearls. It is this month’s Posse and is available until the end of the month. The necklace and the matching earrings are 25.00 (tax and shipping included.) The long necklace is the Nellie. It had gone missing and I had looked this house over trying to find it. When I had finally given up that is when I found it. It had fallen off my necklace rack and was under the dresser. I love the Boho look of this necklace, the cross, and I always think of John Stamos when I wear this, “Have Mercy!” I attached the Pray pendant to a leather strap which was a special and is no longer available, the Tylie leather cuff is what is available now. The Kari is the dark brown leather cuff with the rhinestone embellishment. I am going to warn you that because of new items coming out in April there are a lot of items that are retiring. There is already a long list of items that are out of stock, so if you have been waiting to purchase something just don’t wait too long. Lol! I closed my last party and opened a new one. I bet you can guess what the name is….www.plunderdesign.com/party/tania4 EVERY purchase (for the rest of March) over $50.00 (excluding tax and shipping) will be getting a 15% off discount check from me.50 IS NOT OLD | SOUTHWESTERN STYLEThis Dooney & Bourke is a classic for sure. I have carried it for a couple years and it still looks brand new. I am not one that takes care of my purses. I throw them around and they take a beating, but the Dooney & Bourke purses that I own are holding up to the treatment. The brass feet on the bottom help out a lot.

50 IS NOT OLD | SOUTHWESTERN STYLEMy jeans are a pair of Vigoss that I bought from Maurice Fashions. Maurice’s always has the best jeans and they have a lot of sales. I also like the Maurice brand jeans and they are quite a bit cheaper. The boots I have one are by Marc Fisher. I scuffed the toe pretty bad the first time I wore them but my sister’s husband, J.D., polished them for me. I guess he is good for something after all. Lol! The time before that when I visited them, their dog decided to poop on my boots. He got to clean AND polish that pair. Lol!50 IS NOT OLD | SOUTHWESTERN STYLEI know a lot of you have expressed interest in Rodan and Fields but are holding off because of the price. I was right there with you so I COMPLETLY understand. What if I told you there was a way that you could purchase the products for yourself at cost, you could own your own company, and you could decide if or when you wanted to sell the products? There is, and the best thing is that it only will cost you $45.00!!! Here is the downside, though, there are no products at that cost. The $45.00 will only give you the ability to purchase the products. Wondering about quotas, minimum purchases, fees? 7. My family and I just returned from a trip to the San Diego area. We are so blessed that our college aged son still wants to hang out with his parents and grandma! We really enjoyed visiting the San Diego Mission. The oldest Mission in California. I know you are a woman of faith and you would enjoy this site. Have a fun and safe trip!

  10. Cute cute! Have so much fun in San Diego with your sister. Be sure to have authentic Mexican food and seafood while you are there. I too have become much closer to my sister as we get older. She lives 14 hours away and we try to see each other once or twice a year. We recently went to see the Rockettes Christmas show in New York and had a ball! And thank you for the handsome men! Of course my favorite so far is Jeffrey Dean Morgan!

  11. Still adding hansome man to get more comments i see lol is it working? I think that the collar on your shirt, hair color, boots are what make this outfit better this time. Have a great weekend

Ohh have mercy he is soooo prettg

  13. San Diego — If I could only visit, these are the things I would do.
Near the top of my list would be a harbor cruise or whale watching trip. The whales are passing along the coast this time of year.
If you’ve never been on an aircraft carrier, the USS Midway Museum is very interesting, and on a sunny day, the tables at the snack bar are a nice place to take a break.
The flower fields in Carlsbad are bursting with color right now. There is an outlet mall right next door to the flower fields too ;).
Balboa park is a beautiful place to spend a day, and next door to Balboa Park is our zoo. The San Diego Zoo is spectacular.

  14. Lynn Chianese says:

Love all the pieces of your look except the boots. A pair of Ropers or Ariats would be perfect!

  15. I have been admiring your Pray pendant for a long time. Just love it and decided it was time to buy! I used your party link but when I check out, my order doesn’t connect to your party! I’d like you to get credit for the sale.

  16. I love this outfit! Once again, you look classy and sassy! Have fun with your sister and cherish every minute you have together.

    John Stamos….be still my heart!

  18. Mary Boyum says:

Is is TOO funny! I was just looking at my navy blouse in my closet this morning and was looking thru Pinterest for a way to wear it, for I had given away the sweater I normally wore with it and then you pop up with this!! I have a VERY SIMILAR cardigan as yours, so I will totally be stealing your look! Score!! Thank you!

  19. Karen Shirey says:

Hello I love the cardigan where can I get one just like it

  26. I too see what you mean about this outfit does “pop” and I think it is the blue shirt and darker color that I’m liking about it this time and yes, the jewelry goes really well with it too. We are off to see the grandchidren this weekend..have a great trip to see your sister.

  27. Love those necklaces together! Have fun with your sister!

  28. Recently I purchased the Nellie necklace and after its arrival I have worn it twice already and received several compliments! The cross was larger than I thought it would be and I love that! It stands out and will go with so many outfits. Now I will think if John Stamos when I wear it! Lol! 🙂

  29. Love that cardigan, fabulous outfit! We almost could have met in San Diego! Flying out there on March 31! Have a blast!

  30. I like this combo better Tania…..maybe it’s the boots. Have fun with your sister and be safe. John Stamos has always been a favorite…yes, “Have Mercy”. ~Lisa~

  31. Marilyn Hohlfeld says:

I think what makes a difference between the cardigan looks is the neckline of the shirt beneath. The collared shirt is a more “finished” look. And the jewelry is helping tie it all together. Have fun with your sister and you can always use more John Stamos photos!

  32. Ooops forgot to say I love todays outfit Tania 😉 Such a cute cardi!!!

  33. Let the weekend begin indeed – I am stressing to get post about “Essential Spring Styling Tips” published before I am off to fitness class with my hubby – haven’t been to that in awhile, instead simply jogging so please wish me luck 😉
