I mentioned to you gurls the other day that I had inherited my grandcat while my daughter is off in Alaska. There has been a significant adjustment phase on both of our parts. Lol! I haven’t had an inside cat in over ten years, and this cat doesn’t step foot outside of the house. He was found living under a trailer when he was tiny and took to a shelter where my daughter adopted him. So, he had a fear of the outdoors and pretty much everything else too. When I say that he is afraid of everything, I mean EVERYTHING. To make him feel safe, I put him in one room off of the kitchen, and I put a baby gate across the doorway. I hope that he and Lucy Lu can get to know each other without him feeling overwhelmed. Here is what I didn’t count on. When I took Ashleigh back to Tennessee, I left Joe in charge of Thomas. I had left lots of food, water, and a clean litterbox, so all he had to do was make sure that he didn’t get out of the room. When I came home last Wednesday, the first thing that I did was go out to talk to Thomas. He was GONE! I looked the entire room over, but he was not anywhere to be found. I PANICKED! My daughter had only been gone one day, and we had already lost her cat. I called Joe and asked him if he had opened the outside door or knew where Thomas had gone. He told me that he had noticed that Lucy Lu was staying in one of the back bedrooms and he bet that Thomas had jumped the fence looking for Ashleigh. Sure enough, I finally found Thomas under her bed and very well hidden. I shewed Lucy out the door and eventually coaxed him out of hiding. Whew! Since then, he had escaped several times, and Lucy Lu always tells on him by standing right beside his hiding place. Lol! She is such a snitch. Haha! I can tell that it won’t be long before he is comfortable enough for me to take down the baby gate all the time, but for now, I am leaving it up. Do any of you have a better idea? BTW, Lucy is probably more afraid of the cat than the other way around. Flattering. That is the one word that I would use to describe this top. I love how the stripes in the top curve inward because of the front-tie. That helps to create the illusion that my waist is small! LOVE THAT!!! I need all of the help that I can get. Lol! I found this top on the clearance rack at Cato Fashions, so it is no longer on the website. But, never fear, this style top is in a lot of stores, and I found a few that are very similar for you.
I wanted to keep my jewelry simple today. I don’t think that I even added a pair of earrings, which is unusual for me. I added two necklaces, but they are both dainty. The longest one is Zara. The Zara is a silver toggle loop clasp that is 27″ long. You put the toggle through the loop, and you are all set. The shortest one is Kalyn. I am loving the Kalyn! It is also silver, and it is from 19.25 to 22.25″ long. It has a small flat pearl accent that is cute as a button. The lonely bracelet that I have on is one from the Randee set. This one is a white bead bracelet with a gold bar that says, Amazing Grace. I didn’t that a rear look, but I am giving you a look from the side. Lol! I have on a navy pair of Pixie Pants from Old Navy that are years old. I love how they fit, and I think they are the perfect length for summer. When it comes fall and winter, I’ll tuck them inside my boots, and you will never know they were ankle pants. These pants do have a small amount of spandex, so I size up and get a 12, instead of my usual size 10. Here is the link to the pants. I am wearing the Berkley Platform wedge shoe in the color, pale gold. I like these shoes a lot, and I find myself wearing them quite often. I love the gold zipper and the way the straps create a starburst design near the toes. They said that these run larger, but I ordered my usual size, and they work fine. If you are in between sizes, then I suggest you size down instead of up. Here is the link to the shoes. I was going to tell you all about a new way that I am using to shave my legs. When I went to Rosemary Beach Florida, one of the ladies was talking about how much her husband loved using the UnBlemish face wash to shave his face. She said that he shaved with the Step 1 wash and then followed that with Soothe step 2. She said that he didn’t get ingrown hairs anymore and that the Soothe keeps his skin from being irritated. I had a light bulb moment. If her husband can use that on his face, then I can use it for the areas that I shave. I don’t know about you, but I hate when I get the ingrown or infected hairs. So, I had an old UnBlemish step 1 that I had ordered for someone who never can to pick it up, and I brought it home with me yesterday to try my new found trick. If anyone wants to try any of Rodan + Fields face washes, then let me know. They retail for 44.00 each, but I will ship them to you (tax included) for 40.00. Also, if you want to try one of our new Masks, they retail for 60.00 each, but I will ship them to you (tax included) for 55.00. And, finally, if you want the face wash and the mask as a set, then I will let you have them for 90.00. That is a saving off of retail of 14.00, plus the taxes and shipping. Your daughter’s cat sounds an awful lot like my cat. He just started walking on grass, after 14 years. He is mostly an indoor cat but we will let him outside if one of us is with him and only for a few minutes. You should see him run if a red robin or a blue jay happens to squawk near by. You would think he just say an eagle or hawk. Love the look today!
