SKINNY PANTS AND BOOTIES
You gurls were so nice yesterday! I feel downright dowdy today after all of your kind comments about yesterday’s look. I will say that I did love those colors in the cardigan and top. But, you can’t go through life wearing the same color, unless you’re my friends Marlene who always wears purple. I wonder if she listens to Prince and if her favorite song is “Purple Rain?” Lol!
I got a great welcome home. When Joe and I got home Sunday night the two pooches were thrilled to see us. Beckley and Lucy Lu took turns running to me and then running to Joe. They were whining and jumping around like crazy. It is wonderful when you come home and someone is happy to see you. Monday morning was a different story, Lucy Lu was still prancing around but poor little Beckley was slinking around with his head down and his tail (what little bit he has) tucked between his legs. He didn’t want food and he acted like his stomach hurt. I, unfortunately, have seen these symptoms before and I knew he had to go to the Vet. After a pain shot, he is at least wagging his tail, just very slowly. Tomorrow he starts a round of antibiotics because he was running a fever. He is laying here at my feet while I type which is an improvement because he had been hiding under the bed before. Poor little baby ?
I don’t know if I have ever worn this top before. I know I have tried it on but I can’t remember ever wearing it. The sales tag was still attached so I hope I’ve not worn it before. Lol! I don’t remember anybody calling me Minnie Pearl so maybe I am okay. The sales tag said that I bought this at Versona and the inside tag read Halo. I love the burgundy color and that the neckline is a low scoop which helps to elongate my neck. But it is the sleeves that have the unique details of flat metal bronze brads and white circles that make the top special.
I have on my Ashton earrings, the ones I thought were too big but which have become my favorites. I think I was making up for forgetting my jewelry yesterday because I have on a ton today. Haha! My BELIEVE necklace is one you have seen before. Several of you have asked where you can get one and the best I can do is to send you to Amazon. I have had this leopard print bracelet for a long time but I have never taken pictures with it on before. There were two of these bracelets with different sayings. Mine says, “Be still my heart.” The tortoise link bracelet is one that I picked up forever ago to match a necklace I have. I believe I bought this at Belk’s when they were having a huge jewelry sale.
I wasn’t sure if I wanted to wear these Isaac Mizrahi suede booties but I think they look alright. It is a little tricky wearing booties sometimes so you just have to play around and see what works. There have been many days where I take pictures with a pair of booties on and then go change. They will look great as I gaze down but when a picture is taken straight on they don’t look as good.
My tan skinny pants are from Old Navy. They are pixie pants and that has to be my favorite style of pants. They fit great on me. A tip for buying the pixie pants is that if they are the skinny pants in the stretch material you might want to size up. Hope you have plenty of samples, I would love to try one. I’m searching for a good line of facial products, nothing seems to work for me. Have a cabinet full of stuff from cheap drugstore to some very expensive ones. Always disappointed in the results never as promised. Enjoy your blog very much…..

I’m partial to purple, so loved your outfit yesterday. I never feel like I look good wearing booties with straight leg pants or dresses. Learning to just wear what I feel good in and not worrying so much if others feel the same – this can be a good or bad thing. LOL.

Love this top! The color is fab. I feel so bad for your Beckley. My Brutus is a 12 year old Schnauzer with arthritis in his back and legs. It’s so hard to see him when he hurts. I hope your fur baby feels better soon!

I love your blug and look forward to it but I have a non-fashion question. I’m wondering how you came up with the name Beckley for your fur baby. I am originally from Oak Hill, WV and a neighboring town is Beckley. Just wondering if perhaps you have been there.
I did name him after that town. My husband and I used to go to the races in Cashmere and I picked up the name somewhere along the way. I thought it was cute. I had intended to name him Cashmere but he just looked like a Beckley instead.

I would love to try the microdermabrasion paste. I am using the lip serum now; I can get three uses out of one capsule. I shared my stock with my sister and she likes the results as well. She swears by R&F eye cream. I’m still kicking myself for not pulling the trigger on Plunder’s Lottie necklace- now it’s gone. Enjoy your day
