50 IS NOT OLD | SEERSUCKERDid you see my epic fail on Saturday? I was so excited to get my Plunder jewelry in the mail, and I thought I would tape the process so you could see ALL the items that you would receive for signing up to be an affiliate/consultant. I guess you could “see” the items, just not hear any of the crazy things I was saying. I guess it is just not meant for you gurls to “hear” me. Lol!50 IS NOT OLD | SEERSUCKERI signed up under Bertha to sell Plunder to be able to purchase everything at cost, but mostly because this month there is a special deal. When you sign up, you will receive order forms, catalogues, business cards, brochures, and thank you cards. AND, you will receive 10 pieces of jewelry! 3 bracelets, 3 earrings, and 4 necklaces, for the $99.00 sign up rate. There is an upgrade kit of 7 more piece that can help you start in selling. Normally this upgrade kit, which includes 2 earrings, 1 bracelet, and 4 necklaces, is another $99.00. However, this month you can get the upgrade kit for only $20.00. WHAT!!!50 IS NOT OLD | SEERSUCKER

When everything is said and done, you can receive 17 piece of jewelry for $136.26. (That is including shipping and taxes) My math is not great, but that equals about $8.00 per piece. At the end of this post, I will link to all the jewelry and a sign-up link.50 IS NOT OLD | SEERSUCKER

Since this is Father’s Day week, I have decided to tell a small story about my dad this week. I know a lot of people think their dad is the best, but mine really is. After all, he sired me. Haha That makes him pretty special. LOL! I have told you about some of our lake adventures, but I haven’t told you how we got there.

If you have any visions of me being raised with a silver spoon in my mouth, or any type of pampering, you would be wrong! We had plenty, but we were not in any way “wealthy.” Four-wheeling, motorcycle riding, playing volleyball, and going to the lake was our favorite pastimes. I have no idea what possessed my father, maybe he wanted a convertible, but he cut the top off of a Volkswagen. You know, the little beetle car, or slugbug. We would take this car to the lake all the time. As a child, I thought this was great! I bet my mother had other thoughts for that car. Haha We would pile in the back seat, but you had to be extremely careful how you got inside. Since the top had been cut off, there was jagged metal exposed, so hand placement was something you watched. This sounds hilarious to me now, but I LOVED it as a kid. I can remember burning up in the heat, while we waited in the car, as my parents went in the grocery store to get supplies for the lake. The wind blowing in my hair soon cooled me down. I felt like I was a little princess. Lol50 IS NOT OLD | SEERSUCKERThis was my traveling outfit this past weekend. I don’t even have on any jewelry, with the exception of earrings. I took jewelry with me, but I just didn’t take the time to put any on. I packed in such a hurry that I am lucky I had anything at all with me. I went back in the house three times to get something I had forgotten. And, I still ended up forgetting my pillow that I always travel with.50 IS NOT OLD | SEERSUCKERMy outfit is pretty basic, a navy knit shirt and a pair of seersucker shorts. I love seersucker, I think it is a classic material that is just perfect for summer. This outfit is fine for running around town, going to lunch, or I would even wear this to work. Of course, I work in a very relaxed environment, so this look might not work for everyone.50 IS NOT OLD | SEERSUCKERI thought adding the watercolor print cork wedge shoes added some fun to the outfit. The turquoise in the patent leather Dooney & Bourke satchel matched the color in the shoes. Pretty much any color shoe would go with this outfit though. I could see wearing a pair a flats or even a pair of converse sneakers.

    Hi there,
Love the outfit. I wore seersucker shorts just like yours today. I wore it with a yellow sleeveless button up shirt. I love them also because they tend to get looser as the day goes on. LOL

  6. Great outfit as always but your hair looks especially great today!

  7. You mentioned you left your travel pillow at home. I also have to have a pillow when I travel – can’t stand the thought of laying my head on a hotel pillow. Anyway, what kind of pillow is your travel pillow?

    1. I take my regular pillow from home with me when I travel b

  10. Great post today! Enjoyed hearing your ” convertible ” story and how your parents provided you with wonderful memories. Your hair looks terrific in this post – so do you!

  11. Love your outfit and your story about growing up being around the lake. Actually, we will be going there this weekend. Do you remember Floating MIlls Campground around Center Hill lake?

    1. We always went to Dale Hollow Lake. I can’t remember ever going to Center Hill.

  12. Thanks for the story about your dad, I sure miss mine. Condolences and prayers to your family in the loss of your uncle.

  13. I’m sorry about the loss of your uncle. I’m glad you and your mom were able to be with your aunt.
Your hair looks especially great in these pictures! I have a similar cut and would love to learn how you style this look. Could you post a video of how you do it….with sound, of course!! :)))

    1. The last time I tried to fix my hair this way, it looked like crap. I need to practice a few more times before I do a video, sound or no sound. Haha

  14. You look absolutely adorable!!! LOVE your hair that way.
So sorry for your loss, hang on to those fond memories!

  15. I love me some seersucker anything. Yesterday, in church, I was sitting behind a woman in a seersucker blouse and remembered that last summer I put a seersucker dress. I bought it on sale on line..classic sheath…it was a bit tighter than I prefer but I couldn’t return it and never wore it. This past fall and winter I lost 21 pounds and quite a few inches. After church I tried it on and yay, it fits. Seersucker seems to be my word of the week. You look good in your seersucker. I’m sorry you are back in TN for such a sad reason. Take care.

  16. So sorry for your & your family’s loss. Glad you had a safe trip. Your outfit is so cool & comfy looking. Wonderful childhood memories are the best! As for Saturday, well Gurl you tried! ?high five.

    1. Thanks Betty. I needed that high five. Lol!

  17. I am curious aboutr something. I have never seen you with a shoulder bag – do you not like them? I love the shorts, and the shoes!

    1. I like shoulder bags, but when I take pictures, I will usually let them hang down. They don’t photograph well on my shoulder. I don’t carry a lot of cross-body bags, but I almost always look for a bag with a shoulder strap.

  18. Connie R. says:

Isn’t it funny how we remember stories from growing up. You remind me somewhat of myself. Dad loved to fish and campout. Sisters wound up sleeping in a bed made in a station wagon while parents slept out in a tent. I wouldn’t trade anything for those trips. Now as an adult I have stayed in some lavish hotels but still these memories are some of the best. Tania you are so real and I relate and love you for that. I may make the plunge to purchase the plunder jewelry.

    1. I am just glad I can still remember a few of these stories. Haha I love my memories from my childhood. I can only hope my children have a few memories they cherish from their childhood.

  19. What a cute summer look. Seersucker always has a cool feel/look when the weather turns warm. You’re looking great and those shoes definitely add a pop. Have a great day.

    1. I like the shoe “pop” too. It added a little something to an otherwise plain outfit.

  20. I am sorry for your loss. You are so fortunate to still have your parents. I enjoy your ”growing up” stories. Cute outfit. Are you still using the self tanner or are you beginning to include natural color, it looks great. On Sat. I fiddled and fiddled with my computer, thought it was me!!!!! LOL

    1. I am still using the self tanner. I have not had any time to get “natural” color this year. I fiddled and fiddled with my computer too. I think I have a setting messed up, but I have finally given up. Lol!

      1. Glenda Brain says:

I missed the post on your self tanner. Will you give them link again. It looks so good on you.

        1. I will try to find the link when I get home. I am still traveling today and I can’t linkup on my phone. You can go to my post, and in the search box to the right, put in Faux tan and it will take you to the post.
