Gurl’s, you know what they say about the best-laid plans. Well, my plan for this to be a Friday Favorites post didn’t turn out. I had a post all written, and it is not quite ready for publication. But, I would like to hear comments if anyone bought anything from the last Friday Favorites and see what you liked the best.
I will be traveling next week, so I have “plans” on doing a series for you. You know how I like versatile clothing, so I want to take one pair of pants and style them differently every day next week. I hope that it will help you see all of the possibilities in your closet. Sometimes just buying one or two items can really update your look. So, keep your fingers crossed that those plans actually work out.
I really love this blouse! It has so many eye-catching details, and it is so feminine. First off, I love a v-neckline because it is universally flattering. Plus, I am sure that you have heard me say a million times that it elongates your neck. Secondly, I like the oversized buttons down the front. Anytime that you draw your eye downward, it helps to make you look thinner.
But, it is the color and the sleeves that I really love the most. The name of this color is underwater, and that is a pretty good description. The color is green-ish, gray-ish, blue-ish, so it is hard to describe. This blouse lets you have the look without the puff for all of you who said that you didn’t like puff sleeves. The pleats are a wonderful compromise since they look puffed, but they lay flat.
Plus, I really love these ties on the sleeve. These details are things that you see on an expensive blouse, not one that is under $35.00! I am wearing a medium, and the blouse fits me great.
I know I have the blouse half-tucked in the front (I wanted you to see the pants), but the front is the same length as the back.
Since this adorable patchwork handbag is showing up so nicely, I’ll tell you about it next. This is a crossbody bag in the most gorgeous fall colors! It has a lot of pockets to stuff things and a zip-top so that nothing falls out. It is a great medium size, but honestly…it is the colors I love the most!
Now, about these bootcut jeans! These jeans are soo comfortable; they remind me of Wit & Wisdom. The waistband is wide and comfy, and they have a small amount of tummy control. If there is one that has a full girdle, that is the pair that I need. Lol! I picked the light wash, but these bootcut jeans are also available in medium, dark, and black wash. Plus, they come in 3 different lengths; I chose the tall length.
I’m putting this info in a new paragraph because I want to ensure that you see it. Are you sitting down??? These jeans are under $25.00!!! You’re welcome. Lol!
I’ve styled these driving loafers before because they go with everything, and they are extremely comfortable. This caramel color is great for fall, and I swear it goes well with everything I put on. Plus, if you need more incentives, they are 40% off and cheaper than when I bought them from the Nordstrom Anniversary Sale!
I know many of you got some great deals at the Nordstrom Anniversary Sale, but several of you were upset since everything was sold out. Well…a lot of things are back in stock and on sale again. Some things are even cheaper than they were on the NSale. I looked through about 20 of the 218 pages and picked some of my favorite items. I already own some of these, and I have ordered several other things. I LOVE getting my clothing on sale.
Those are a few of my top styles for jeans in 2021. But, don’t get stressed, remember, fashion is supposed to be fun. I want you to feel confident in your fashion choices and look modern and relevant. Stressed out is not a good look for anyone, so relax and try a few styles at a time to see what you like best.
