50 IS NOT OLD | A REAL AND HONEST BLOGGERI have had several of you say things like, “you are so entertaining” or “you are so funny” or even “you are so real.” Well, you ain’t seen nothing yet. I am going to give you a spoiler alert and go ahead and tell you to put the coffee down before you read much further. I do not want to be responsible for getting your phone, tablet, or computer coffee soaked. 50 IS NOT OLD | A REAL AND HONEST BLOGGERI was running late for work (big surprise) and I hurriedly picked out my shoes and ran outside to take my pictures. The dogs always go outside with me to do their morning business. After we came inside I gave Beckley his shot and then they each got a treat. I started to go out the door when I noticed that Beckley (yes I can tell which dog it was) had left me a little treat of his own. I grabbed 2 new puppy pads and went to clean up the mess. I grabbed the Clorox wipes and paper towels and straddled the puppy pad to pick up his treat since it did not hit the pad. Apparently, the soles of my feet might have been wet from the grass when I was outside and my foot started sliding. I was trying to keep from falling but since I was straddling the puppy pad there was no way that I could right myself. Down I went in the most unflattering splits you have ever seen………right into Beckley’s treat. I was even later for work after I had to go and change clothes. When I got to work and told Joe what had happened he was so sympathetic and wanted to make sure that I wasn’t hurt. NOT!!! He was completely doubled over laughing. It is a dang good thing that Beckley is sick or I might have had a few choice words for that dog!50 IS NOT OLD | A REAL AND HONEST BLOGGERWas that real enough for you? lol! Here is another example of wearing a summer top in the fall. This is a tank top but I am still able to get more wear out of it by simply adding a cardigan to the outfit. This stripped yellow and white top looks completely different because I added the dark-colored cardigan and jeans. If I had paired it with white pants you would have immediately thought spring and summer. Here is where I wore it in August.

50 IS NOT OLD | A REAL AND HONEST BLOGGERI am wearing the Berkley (short one) necklace and the Victoria earrings. Both of these pieces feature seafoam green crystals and the necklace also adds amber crystals. I don’t have it on but there is also a matching bracelet called the Hilton. Instead of wearing the Hilton I added the Chloe which has a little darker colored beads. The long necklace I have on is the Bernie. I love this necklace but I will warn you that it clinks together as you walk. Sometimes I think I sound like Bessie the cow walking with this. Lol! 50 IS NOT OLD | A REAL AND HONEST BLOGGER Here is a good look at the jeans that never made it to my work. Lol! This is a pair of bootcut Vigoss jeans in a dark wash. I love the white stitching on the jeans, it really makes them noticeable. It is hard to miss these jeans because of that. My Isaac Mizrahi navy ballet flats are what I decided to wear. I normally like to wear high heels but I know that not everyone can wear high heels so I try to throw in some flats occasionally. I do like these flats but they do not have very much padding inside them. They would not be good to walk very long distances in them.

50 IS NOT OLD | A REAL AND HONEST BLOGGERHow do you like the dark teal cable-knit cardigan that I have on? This was c/o Chadwick’s of Boston last year and they still have it in limited sizes and colors on their website. This is a heavy-weight sweater and will keep you nice and warm. Here is where I wore it last year. 50 IS NOT OLD | A REAL AND HONEST BLOGGERToday is the last day of November and tomorrow starts the last month of the year. I am amazed at how fast this year has passed, it seems like only yesterday that I was making resolutions and now it is time to start thinking about that again. Some of the resolutions have held and some are a distant memory. I hope that 2017 was a good year for you and that 2018 holds many blessings to come. Goodness, I must be in a nostalgic mood.

Signing up for my emails would make a great Christmas present to me. This time of the year is when people go shopping, have a family get together, go to parties, etc., in other words, you quit reading blogs as much. My heart drops when I see my reader numbers go down. Your blog always leaves me Smiling! ???Today I was doubled over laughing because that sounds like something that would happen to me!!!!????

  2. Yep, been there done that myself! After the “incident” I laughed so hard at myself… but husband , I have never seen him laugh so hard as I told him the story. Don’t want to be boring 🙂

  3. I. Just. Can’t……that is hilarious!!! I hope you didn’t strain anything going into the splits! (or split your nice jeans either!)

I love cardigans like that one, but I don’t wear them anymore. I feel like they add bulk that I do not need! But you look darling, as always! XOXO

    1. I has been MANY years since I did the splits. Lol!

  4. Hahaha! Sounds like my life. When I was much younger i used to think with age and wisdom I would live an orderly and graceful life. Yeah, right! Too much watching June Cleaver I guess!

You are inspiring me to change my outfit combinations these days. I have a tendency to say this always goes with that and I need to be more creative. Canada can be pretty cold so I pack away summer duds but will have another look.

Btw, I will be reading your blog through the Christmas holidays. Looking forward to those stories!

    1. Janet, I am glad that I have given you some possibilities for your summer wardrobe. My daughter will be coming in for a long visit. When she is here there are all kinds of stories to be told. Lol!

To funny not to share. I get it though because i have a 17yr old dog in diapers.
And some days when the diaper is not on i go sliding too.
    Thanks for sharing!

    1. That is not fun at all. Lol! I was just too stunned to do anything but laugh.

  6. Tania, I love the sweater! It’s great to see you a little more casual from time to time. That being said, you always look great. And, oh yes, Thank you for the story. I am always in need of a good laugh…it is definitely one that I can relate to. I will do anything for my fur baby, even if it meant while cleaning up behind her I fell in her poo! LOL!!!

    1. I have been in a more casual mood lately. It is a good thing I love that little rat. Lol!

Just another day in the life of a fur baby mom! LOL

Been there, done that with cleaning up a mess right before going out the door. Joe should really try to contain himself and not snicker at your expense…been there and done that too…why do husbands get such a kick out of things like that? Love the blue sweater…perfect color for you. Too bad the navy flats don’t have more support…mine are shot and I’m looking for a new pair. Cute, tho…

    1. I knew when I told Joe the story that he would laugh. I can’t imagine what the reaction would have been if HE had been the one who fell. Oh my goodness, he would have had a fit.

  9. I laughed out loud when I read your blog this morning. Great way to start my day!

I love your outfit. Yellow is my favorite color! The top, sweater and jeans look great together!

Be careful today, no falling! HA

Glad you and Beckley made it through! That’s a rough way to start the day, but it surely is funny. I absolutely love this outfit. And once again, I find myself realizing I would never, ever think to pair that yellow striped top with that teal sweater, but it looks fantastic. And especially the accessories make the outfit and pull it all together. Pinned it immediately.
