Poncho Series, 2 of 5
Oh, Holey Poncho, Batman! Sorry, I am still in Superhero mode from the event I did over the weekend. How do you like this poncho? It literally will go with anything. Since it is as neutral as you can get, you add the color with the undershirt.
This poncho is several years old, and I can’t even begin to tell you where it came from. It is a G. Beve, but I could not find that brand anywhere on the internet. I have bad eyesight, maybe it was something else. Oh, well, here is a similar one. I am wearing a long sleeve t-shirt, from Cato’s, in maroon. You can find a t-shirt at any store, there is nothing special about this one.
However, you will not see this jewelry anywhere else. This is two of my vintage pieces. The necklace is probably from the 1920’s – 1930’s, I not really sure. It is made from different sizes of glass beads, and is set in brass. The brooch has large, deep red, glass cabochon stones set in gold tone metal.
The pants are maroon corduroy skinny jeans, and are from Maurices. They are identical to the one’s I wore in yesterday’s post, well, except for the color. If you have been reading my posts for awhile, you have probably noticed that I wear a lot of boots. So, I thought I would change things up a little, and wear these really cute leopard flats from Sole Society. I bought them at one, (we have two) of the QVC outlets in town.
The bracelets are vintage too. One is brass, and has insets of mother-of-pearl, and the other one is wooden. If you live in the Atlanta, Georgia region, and you are looking for something to do this weekend, come to a vintage fashion show. I will be going to my sister’s house and helping her, and my mother, with a show at Winnwood Retirement Community in Marietta. It is this Saturday and for more information about the show, click here.
Who am I kidding, as soon as I took the pictures, I went and changed into my boots.
This is so much more ME. Maybe I am in a rut, but I don’t care. It’s winter, and I want to wear my boots! Lol
Fashion should be fun, comfortable, and represent you. I’m wearing the boots!

I love this look!! I also am a boot person! I think I feel as though they balance my “bottom” half out when I wear skinny jeans. it’s nearing the end of September and it’s supposed to finally start cooling down this coming week (no more 90’s)
when can I start wearing my boots and not look I’m rushing the season?! please help
In love with this look! I love vintage jewelry as you know so that necklace is so gorgeous and up my alley!

I love the poncho and vintage mixed with newer pieces to create an upbeat and fun fall look. Great look with the flats and boots.

I’m loving the inspiration for the ponchos but I’ve got to find a QVC outlet. The shoes and purses you have bought there are adorable.
These stores keep my broke. They recently got in a shipment of Dooney & Bourke purses, and I think I have bought 3. Maybe even 4:)
