50 IS NOT OLD | PLAID JACKET AND A PENCIL SKIRTwill never travel again without my laptop! It has been a nightmare trying to blog while I am traveling and using only an IPad. You can type, but all the features you really need to have to make the post look good, are not really available on the IPad. Take this post for example, I am writing this post on the airplane as I travel back to Virginia. I bought the wifi package so that I could do the blog since I had a 4 hour flight, I might as well get some work done.50 IS NOT OLD | PLAID JACKET AND A PENCIL SKIRTThe Internet is slow when you are 35,000 feet in the air to say the least. Patience is not one of my strong points so this is driving me nuts. Lol! I pick a picture to upload and then wait and wait. I finally get tired of waiting, and go back and pick the picture again. Of course I end up with two pictures, and then I have to delete one. Haha. If I get home in time tonight, I will try to add links, but after I get to Charlotte, I still have a 4 hour drive to get home. In other words, I doubt the links will get added. Haha
50 IS NOT OLD | PLAID JACKET AND A PENCIL SKIRTThis outfit is fairly new, I bought it before I left town at Cato’s. The fitted plaid jacket was hanging up on the wall and I immediately spotted it from across the room. The colors are so “fall” and the fit us very flattering. The jacket is shorter than a lot of my other jackets, and the peplum silhouette is so cute. I can see me wearing this with blue jeans and a pair of wine pants I have. The jacket is now on sale for 24.99, you can’t beat that with a stick. Lol

50 IS NOT OLD | PLAID JACKET AND A PENCIL SKIRTIsn’t this necklace exquisite? The first time I looked through a Plunder Design catalog, this was the necklace that caught my eye. This is the Paxton, and it has three rows of pearls with a clock face pendant. The clock is not an actual clock, but the time will be correct twice a day. Haha. I’m a real comedian today. Lol Here is how I wore this necklace the last time it was on the blog. The saying on the clock face says, “Live evey moment, Love beyond measure.” This pendant is normally 36.00, but if you want to host a party and you sell at least 250.00, this will be your hostess gift! That is pretty exciting. Let me know if you are interested. Plunder has recently changed their software, and they are no longer able to move orders. Because of this, it is important that you place your orders under me by going to: www.plunderdesign.com/party/taniastephens
50 IS NOT OLD | PLAID JACKET AND A PENCIL SKIRTThis wine sweater skirt also came from Cato Fashions. This is a pencil skirt and it hits me well below the knees. I am not a huge fan of this length, I think it is a little tricky to wear. I wore my navy Marc Fisher suede booties, but it might have looked better with a more neutral shoe. I didn’t have time to change shoes, so this is what I wore. I like these booties, the gold zipper detail is really nice looking, but I am not sure about an open toe in the winter. How is that even supposed to work? Maybe you are supposed to wear tights with this shoe, I will have to give that a try next time.50 IS NOT OLD | PLAID JACKET AND A PENCIL SKIRTMy purse is a really old Coach. It is quite a bit smaller than what I normally carry, but occasionally I will get this out and carry it a couple of days.

I’m not going to lie gurls, I am dragging my tail. I am not used to staying up as late as we did out in Las Vegas, plus the three hour time zone difference has really done a number on me.

Today is the last day to enter for the Rodan and Fields multi function eye cream giveaway. Go here to see the details on entering, if you have not already. I am soooo glad I had this eye cream with me on this trip, I can’t imagine what I would have looked like without it along. 1. I love the jacket too. I tried it on in our Cato, but because I am long waisted/short legs!, it just looked too short on me! ? I bought a navy plaid one instead. Love the colors of this one though!
Off topic: Last week we were in your area. I had just read your blog where you said come to Grundy when we could. I thought that was the name of a store, but looked it up and found it was the town you live in…… just as we drove past the highway down that way! If we’d had time, I would have come! Ha!

  2. So I guess now I have to run by Cato’s on my way home! : P I love the jacket!

Totally off topic……not the best day yesterday. Just one of those days. My precious daughter baked me a chocolate cake. Just a small snack cake from a kit she saw in the store, but still. Such a sweetheart, especially after I told her I don’t like her hair. #mykidsarebetterthanIdeserve

  3. Wow! I would so love to wear this outfit. I love everything about it. I love peeptoes but never wear them when it’s getting colder because I don’t like it when you see that bit of tights sticking out.

I have an idea for a guest blogger….Emersyn!

  5. Wow, Tania, you really outdid yourself today! You look like a very important Corporate Executive headed for an important meeting. And you look very skinny in it! I LOVE those shoes! Keep on rockin us w/your style!

  6. Denise from South Florida?
    You look GREAT!!
I’m going to my Cato but I doubt they will have this jacket ?
Because of or our location, but I’m going to try. Your tutorial on blanket scarf was good , I especially like the one with the expandable belt I might be able to get away with it because it loose in the back . I am a 12 Petite so we will see. Anyhow God Bless you I’m sure it’s nice to be back home.?

Love, love the jacket! Perfect for fall and the options are endless. Love the color of the skirt but not a fan of the length. That length makes me feel frumpy. Overall, you look great, as always.

  8. I ABSOLUTELY LOVE THIS OUTFIT, SHOES & EVERYTHING……YOU & IT LOOKS BEAUTIFUL!!

  9. Love this outfit Tania! What a steal on the jacket. I don’t have a Cato’s near but my mom does. Think my sister and I will be making a road trip soon! I also have to have that necklace. Does it have matching earrings? Hope you made it home safe. I just flew back from Monterey Thursday and I tell you I’m still trying to get back on my normal schedule. That 3 hour time difference is a killer!! The getaway was well worth it though. Enjoy your day.

I really love the color combo of this outfit!!
And I like the length of the skirt—I always think it’s nice to have different length in my closet—otherwise it’s so boring. But I’d be wearing my OTK burgundy boots with this skirt!! You’ll have to get some too!!

I love this outfit on you it looks fabulous ? And ongratulations on getting your 10,000 followers ?????

    1. Thanks Karen! It seemed like it took FOREVER! Haha

  12. Tania, love the outfit today! I tried on that jacket but didn’t have your vision for it. LOL!. Maybe I should take a second look at it for the price cut.

Have you ever considered having a guest blogger help you when you are out of town? Just a thought.

    1. I wish I had bought it after it was on sale.

I might consider a guest blogger, that would be helpful. I am such a control nut though, I am not sure if I could handle it. ?

  13. Keep the inspiration coming. You look fantastic!
I have been using Redefine Macro Exfoliator and love it. The LIP treatment you mention in your R&F video interests me. Have a beautiful day!

    1. I love the lip treatment. I only use 1/2 the capsule each night, that is plenty, and it makes your supply last MUCH longer.

  14. Great color combo and the pearls absolutely give any outfit the added touch. I’m so glad you have enjoyed Vegas. I have a friend there now and it was her first time too so I can’t wait to hear about her trip. ~Lisa~

    1. I bet she is having a blast!

  15. Tania, you’re looking quite like a girl boss in that jacket. The silhouette looks amazing on you especially with the knit skirt. I took my laptop with me last time I flew across the country and found that there wasn’t enough room in front of me to work on it so on the flight home I just watched movies and read my magazines.

    1. I am going to have to invest in a new laptop, one that is not quite so big and bulky.
