OVER 50 AND I LOVE THIS DRESS FOR AN OUTDOOR WEDDING OR A BABY SHOWER

 

I have found some of the most beautiful long dresses recently. I styled a long-sleeved tropical print dress on Wednesday that I thought would be perfect for an Indoor Wedding. So, today, I decided to show you this gorgeous off-the-shoulder floral dress for an outdoor wedding.

As soon as I saw this dreamy dress, I thought, “outdoor wedding.” I can also see this dress working for a girl baby shower. Wouldn’t this be the perfect dress for that? Also, it would be great for a high school reunion, and you can bet that everyone there would be asking you where you got your dress! Lol!

 

 

This is a fabulous floral dress for us ladies of a certain age. It shows our shoulders, which don’t show age like other parts of our bodies. It covers the top part of our arms, which DOES show our age, and not in a flattering way. And, if we don’t feel like shaving our legs, we don’t have to and no one will know the difference. Lol!

 

 

It can be bright and sunny at an outdoor wedding, so, you will need to remember your sunscreen. The last thing that you will want is sunburnt shoulders, so be sure to apply several times if you are outdoors very long. Here is one that I just got sent to me and I’ve heard great things about it.

The dress has an elastic waist that is covered by the flowy top half. It also has a matching fabric tie belt, although I am not sure if you need to wear it since you can hardly see it at all. I love that the dress doesn’t touch me anywhere, except for the elastic waist. You can’t see my bulges with this style of dress.

 

 

I added an old pair of feather earrings in bright pink. I’ve had these earrings for years, but I bet that I can find something that would look just as cute. I have on my Shine necklace, but you don’t have to add a necklace since the neckline and the dress are stunning without any accessories.

 

I am 5’6″ tall, and the dress dragged the ground until I added my bright pink suede pumps. A Petite option didn’t seem to be available, so be prepared to have the dress shortened if you aren’t tall or used to wearing high heels or wedges. These pink pumps are an old pair that I wear all of the time, but I have some similar options that you might like.

 

The dress is lined, and you don’t have to worry about being able to see through the chiffon material. I am wearing a medium, and it fits me fine. I was worried when I saw the elastic waist because it didn’t look large enough. Usually, I wear a size 12 dress, so I never know whether to order a medium or a large. I think the large would have worked also, especially with the style of this dress.

I do want to warn you, be prepared to sash-shay and twirl when you put on this dress! It makes you feel like a PRINCESS!!!
