OUTFIT FOR WEDDINGS, WORK, OR DATE NIGHT
For those of you who think that I never have to worry about how I am dressed, think again! My husband thinks he knows EVERYTHING when it comes to fashion. (Insert tongue in cheek) We were sitting around last Saturday evening and I said that I was going to take a shower and get cleaned up. I hadn’t been feeling the best earlier in the day and I was just starting to get dressed. I took a shower, put on makeup, and then I put on some comfortable clothing. Mind you, I had a NEW pair of trendy frayed hemmed jeans on, a super comfortable and soft cowl-necked sweater, and a long duster so I looked fine since all I planned on doing was fixing a salad and writing the blog for today.
Mr. “I know more about fashion than you do” comes through in his khaki pants and a tucked in polo shirt and looks at me and says, “are you going to wear that?” Yes, why wouldn’t I? That is when he informs me that he has decided that we need to go out to eat. We are talking GRUNDY where the nicest restaurants are a Chinese and a Mexican restaurant. I wouldn’t be underdressed is an understatement!!! None-the-less, I went and changed clothes to suit my “Mr. Picky, I can’t be seen out in public with you looking like that” and put on a pair of white dress pants and a black cashmere sweater with high heels. Let’s just say that I was “overdressed” for our night out but ” HE” was happy! Lol!
This cardigan is several years old. It is one that is from Ann Taylor that I bought on a trip to Florida. The bright red poppy pattern caught my attention back then from across the store and it still catches my eye in my closet. I wore this in March of 2016 and even though it is still in the same color pattern, the look is completely different. I think that I like this look the best. You won’t be able to get this exact cardigan but that shouldn’t stop you from looking.
TODAY is the LAST day to take advantage of the Incentive worth 150.00 that Rodan + Fields is offering. Don’t be this girl.⬇ Check it out HERE!

Tania, I too enjoy your blog. I look forward to it everyday. I have also ordered several necklaces from Plunder and have enjoyed them. Thank you!
I’m so happy to have found your blog! You put together many beautiful outfits; this one in particular. May I ask where you purchased the multi-strand pearl necklace? That takes it up another notch!
Kay, just click on the highlighted link and it will take to you to the webpage. It is from Plunder Design Jewelry which I am a stylist for.
I answered my own question… followed your link and purchased! Looking forward to following your social media for fashion inspiration.
You look wonderful. Your Joe is hysterical. Love to hear from you each day.
Love today’s post. It’s because of you that I’m more willing to take risks with my wardrobe whereas I always played it safe before. Your recommendation of palazzo pants is something I never considered until I saw you wear them, and you wear them well. I didn’t even know about Maurice’s until I saw your crinkle tank top and now I’m hooked on the tanks and the store! And it happens to be close by where I just moved to. There are numerous other ways in which you have inspired me to look, and be, better. By the way, I think I would have reacted differently if my husband, also a Joe, said that to me. If anything, HE would have had to change, not me, lol!
Joe is gonna love the comments about him!! But, I admire that you want to please him. I would rather have an honest opinion from someone than no comment at all. Joe just may want to work on how his delivery! Haha!!
Seriously your husband said you didn’t look good enough to go out?? He’s crazy you always look awesome. But I love this outfit.
I love reading your blog everyday!!
????
If my husband tried that he be going out to dinner solo. He’d also be cooking all his own meals for at least a week ?
I agree mine would fly solo also.
I agree too. Tania’s husband needs some re-training. Makes for a humorous blog post though.
He knows as soon as he does something like that I will put him on the blog. Lol!
So actually it could have been a sneaky ploy to get more blog mention ???
I asked him who was the “fashion blogger in the family” but he still thought he was right. Hahaha
I need to tell him that, Judi! Lol!!!
I am probably the minority in the fact that my hubby never comments on what I am wearing or asks me to wear something in particular and sometimes I wish that he did…LOL Cute outfit on you. I have tried palazzo pants a few years ago and didn’t feel real comfortable in them but I think I should give them a try again. I always felt like I felt “larger” in them and not the look I was going for 😉 .
Sandy, when you pair the Palazzo Pants with a more fitted top or one that is a crop top, it will make you appear thinner and taller.
Thank you Tania for the style advice and I will look for a more fitted top.
I also own several pairs of palazzo pants, love them! great look today and I am betting super comfortable. I think all of us can relate to the “are you going to wear that ?” comment.
I.am short so the palazzo pants are hard to pull off without a high heel. I do like this outfit and think I have a mid length skirt that I can substitute! Thanks for the idea. Best…Kathy
I’ve never worn palazzo pants before. I’m going to give them a go though!
Tania, i really enjoy your blog. We used to live in SWVA so i totally understand the difficulties of shopping! I wish I’d had clothing delivery options when I lived there! Thank you for your daily ideas.
