OUTFIT FOR WEDDINGS, WORK, OR DATE NIGHT

For those of you who think that I never have to worry about how I am dressed, think again! My husband thinks he knows EVERYTHING when it comes to fashion. (Insert tongue in cheek) We were sitting around last Saturday evening and I said that I was going to take a shower and get cleaned up. I hadn’t been feeling the best earlier in the day and I was just starting to get dressed. I took a shower, put on makeup, and then I put on some comfortable clothing. Mind you, I had a NEW pair of trendy frayed hemmed jeans on, a super comfortable and soft cowl-necked sweater, and a long duster so I looked fine since all I planned on doing was fixing a salad and writing the blog for today.Mr. “I know more about fashion than you do” comes through in his khaki pants and a tucked in polo shirt and looks at me and says, “are you going to wear that?” Yes, why wouldn’t I? That is when he informs me that he has decided that we need to go out to eat. We are talking GRUNDY where the nicest restaurants are a Chinese and a Mexican restaurant. I wouldn’t be underdressed is an understatement!!! None-the-less, I went and changed clothes to suit my “Mr. Picky, I can’t be seen out in public with you looking like that” and put on a pair of white dress pants and a black cashmere sweater with high heels. Let’s just say that I was “overdressed” for our night out but ” HE” was happy! Lol!This cardigan is several years old. It is one that is from Ann Taylor that I bought on a trip to Florida. The bright red poppy pattern caught my attention back then from across the store and it still catches my eye in my closet. I wore this in March of 2016 and even though it is still in the same color pattern, the look is completely different. I think that I like this look the best. You won’t be able to get this exact cardigan but that shouldn’t stop you from looking.

You can’t see my earrings but I guess it doesn’t really matter since they were a special at Christmas time that is no longer available. I will tell you that they are red crystal flowers with rhinestone centers. I seem to be in a pearl frame of mind lately. The Lottie necklace has always been a favorite of mine since I first got it. I just love the multiple strands of pearls because it makes layering easy. The red and black bling bracelets are also no longer available but the clear stone Chalon bracelet is still in stock. I love Plunder jewelry. It is great quality and the prices are very affordable.Palazzo pants make any outfit look special. I love them and I have several pairs. I would recommend that everybody buy at least one pair and black is a great place to start. These pants can be worn to weddings, funerals, church, date nights, etc. so you see how versatile they can be. BUT, the really cool part is that they are so comfortable that it feels like you are wearing pajamas the whole time that you have them on. Lol!!! Who knew that you could look good AND be comfortable???

I have a black tank top on under the cardigan that is years old. This is by Victoria’s Secret and it might have even been a hand-me-up from my daughter. Lol! I love a tank top worn under a cardigan because there is no bulk under the sleeves of the cardigan plus they don’t make you so hot that you start sweating. We are all too familiar with hot flashes to want any more heat than we have to have. Lol! I buy a lot of my camisoles and tank tops from Maurices and Old Navy. They usually have a wide variety and they are affordable. I really appreciate it when you pin or share my blog posts!! Word of mouth and sharing is the only way that I can continue to grow my blog.
