NOT ALL FRIDAYS ARE GOOD
I debated with myself whether to post today or not, because of Good Friday. I didn’t want to appear callus to the supreme sacrifice made on this day, but at the same time, this is a fashion blog. So in the end I decided to do both. A fashion blog in the beginning, and a tribute as the ending.
I am back in front of my plain ole brick wall. Nothing very pretty to look at, and no gorgeous view. But I guess it will do just fine. I am all decked out in pastels, and I like it. I have never been one who liked pastels and have steered clear of most of them. However, I bought this top at the QVC outlet store, and just fell in love with the color and the material. It is very soft, and very high quality. I really like the two pockets for an added detail. This is Linea by Louis Dell’Olio, and here are some similar ones in misses and plus sizes.
The pink in the scarf and the pink of the bag coordinate well. This is what I call “put together.”
Once again I think the scarf makes this outfit. This scarf screams spring. I love the colors and the print on the scarf. I bought it from Old Navy a couple years ago. Some of you have wondered about how to wear a scarf that is bulky. This scarf is on the bulky side, but I like it tied like this.
I am still in love with my Vera Bradley tote. The hot pink tote is one that I will carry all spring and all summer. Here are a couple Vera bags in pink.
Today is Good Friday. A solemn day when the death of Jesus Christ is commemorated. With such a terrible act happening on that day, I have often wondered why anyone would call it good. I understand that Jesus suffered and died to give us the promise of ever lasting life, but I still can’t wrap my head around calling it good. So, I googled it. The best explanation that I found it this. The word good is an antiquated meaning of holy. Now, that makes sense. Holy Friday I can understand. Other names for Good Friday is, Passion Friday and Sacred Friday. I found a pin on Pinterest this morning that sums up the next couple of days.
The comment section is at the end of the post, so keep scrolling. I look forward to reading all the comments, they make my day.
This is also something I WANT and NEED: I have added a subscription button to the blog, right under the recent posts tab. I would appreciate it if you would take the time to sign up. You will then be notified by email when a new post is made.

The beige skinny ankle pants are old ones from Old Navy. I can’t even remember when I bought these, they are that old. Beige or khaki can go with almost any color or print. If you do not already own a pair, you need to buy one or maybe even two. Here are a couple pairs that I think you will like.
Here is the outfit from the rear. Haha at least my hair looks combed. I have to thank you gurls for that, I now check the back of my hair before I leave the house. It is incredible that it took a blog to have me look at the back of my head. Lol!
Lovely Easter message and a great outfit. Wish I had it in my closet! Thank you for sharing both on Holy Friday. Think I’ll start calling it that.
Hi Tania….love the outfit and thankful you did a Good Friday post too….the cross is a beautiful touch.
I’m wanting to know the beautiful nude beige color you wear on your nails? Is it acrylic powder or gel polish or just a regular polish color? Would love to know details!
Thank you,
Lisa
Lisa, I don’t know the name of the nail polish, but it is Shellac.
Would you mind asking the color of shellac or maybe posting pic of bottle? I’d soooo appreciate it. I struggle with finding a nice nude shade most are too tan or orangey!
I will take a pic of the bottle when I go to the salon. I am thinking about going this afternoon.
ok Tania….is this QVC outlet in our area, since ya know I live close to you? I absolutely love this Vera Bradley bag.
Yes, the store is here in Grundy, VA!
Good Friday to you Tania… I know what you mean about why would we call it Good Friday? But it does lead to something REALLY GREAT, huh? I’m so thankful for the ultimate sacrifice so we can be washed clean!
You look absolutely beautiful in the pastel colors. I’m not a pastel wearer (is that a word?) but if I had a bright colored scarf with it, that could work. Anywho, I hope you have a wonderful Easter weekend 🙂
Oh I LIKE this outfit!! Gorgeous.
Tania, you always look beautiful. Pastels are hard for me to wear too, but the light blue looks great on you and the scarf really pulls the whole outfit together. And I agree with you about the “good” in Good Friday, but I try to remember that it was because of the cross that I have a relationship with God the Father and to me that is what makes it good. Have a lovely Easter. – Amy –

Beautiful outfit today! I check your blog every day and when I first saw this picture I went wow that’s special. It’s a favorite of mine.
Today’s good to me, because we know the rest of the story. ?
Love your whole outfit. Scarf is so pretty. What color nail polish are you wearing? Very nice neutral color. Would be perfect to wear with my Easter dress. Enjoy your posts so much. Have a wonderful weekend.
I am not sure Sharon what the color is. I looked on the bottle at the nail salon, but I could not find the name. Sorry.
You always look beautiful and flawlessly put together! Thanks for your comments on Good Friday and the post from Pinterest . Very meaningful! and so very true. Praise Jesus for His sacrifice for us that we may be forgiven our sins and know Him personally as our Savior!
Super classy, well put together outfit. I love it!!! Hope you have a wonderful Easter weekend!
