I don’t know about y’all, but I can get into a shopping rut. On the one hand, I’ve got my favorite retailers that I know are tried and true. It’s easy because I’m familiar with the brands and the sizes. But there are a ton of great stores out there, and shouldn’t we spread the shopping love around? How are we going to find great items, new designers, etc., unless we try? Granted, today’s retailer isn’t exactly an unknown, lol. Let’s dive into some new spring arrivals from Bloomingdale’s!

New Spring Arrivals from Bloomingdale’s – Pants

If you are a fan of casual clothing, linen fabrics, and quality clothing, then you’re going to love this look by Eileen Fisher. The linen vest and pants look fabulous together but can be purchased and worn separately. They will be a staple this summer, and you’ll find yourself reaching for them over and over again. They are also available in black, which is what grabbed my attention. I’m ordering this set, and I’ll let you know about the fit soon.

Next up, we’ve got something a tad more casual but equally fabulous—the Hustler High Rise Frayed Flare Leg Ankle Jeans by MOTHER. This is one of my favorite brands to wear in denim! These aren’t your ordinary jeans; they come in a soft “Barely There” shade that’s just subtle enough to make a statement without overpowering your outfit.

The high waist and frayed flare leg give these jeans a touch of retro flair, while the distressed pocket trims add just the right amount of edge. Made here in the USA, these jeans are the perfect combination of quality and style. Picture them with a tucked-in vintage tee and some cute sneakers for a look that screams effortless chic.

I own these jeans in white and black, and I suggest sizing them up since they tend to run small.

New Spring Arrivals from Bloomingdale’s – Dresses

Now, for something a little more on the feminine and flirty side, we’ve got the Rails Clementine Eyelet Trim Midi Dress. This beauty is in a classic black eyelet that’s just timeless. What really makes it stand out are the eyelet flutter overlay cap sleeves and that charming eyelet ruffle hem – it’s the details that take this dress from simple to stunning. And at mid-calf length, it pairs wonderfully with your favorite sandals or wedges. It’s all about feeling beautiful and comfortable, and this dress delivers on both.

This dress is a dream for sunny day outings or just when you want to add a pop of color to your day. It features short sleeves, a square neckline, and the cutest tiered skirt that adds a playful swing to your step. And let’s not overlook those practical side-seam pockets—perfect for keeping your essentials close without needing a purse! It’s designed to hit mid-calf, offering a modest yet stylish look that pairs effortlessly with sandals or espadrilles.

We’re wrapping up our dresses with a true showstopper: the AQUA Butterfly Maxi Dress. This dress is so feminine, offering side cutouts for a sexy yet modest glimpse of skin. The open V-neck with the cross-over bodice is very flattering, and I love the flutter sleeves. The ruffle tier detailing will have you feeling like the belle of the ball, whether you’re attending a garden party, a wedding, or a fancy dinner.

New Spring Arrivals from Bloomingdale’s – Tops

I love everything about this blouse! The colors and print are gorgeous!!! I also love the smocked cuffs, sheer sleeves, and the ruffle detail of the V-neck. Pair this blouse with your go-to denim for a casual day out, or tuck it into a high-waisted skirt for a more formal setting – the possibilities are endless.

This blouse, exclusive to Bloomingdale’s, shines in pure white, making it a versatile pick that can elevate any outfit with its clean and crisp vibe. The real charm lies in its design details: a flattering crossover front with a self-tie closure and an elasticized back hem that creates a slightly cropped silhouette, perfect for pairing with high-waisted trousers or skirts. It’s a very classy look and would look great on a lot of different body types.

New Spring Arrivals from Bloomingdale’s – Shoes

True confession: I’ve never been a Birkenstock wearer, but these are tempting me! These aren’t your everyday Birkenstocks; they come in a High-Shine Black/Gold color that adds a touch of glam to the classic comfort sandal. The cork footbed offers arch support and cradles the heel for all-day comfort. Everyone who wears these swears by them!

On the OTHER end of the shoe spectrum, lol, we have these pretty sandals from Larroude. These shoes come with scalloped eyelet straps and a buckled ankle strap, setting them on a manageable 1.8-inch wrapped heel. With a raffia upper and leather lining, they promise to be comfortable AND stylish. Perfect for garden parties or sunny days out, these sandals will elevate any outfit with a touch of sophistication.

what a pretty lavender blouse from Bloomingdales! I was surprised to find the sale price to be affordable! I’ve always felt I couldn’t afford anything from that store. I’m glad to be wrong.

    1. I liked the price too, so I ordered it. lol!

  2. Love the eyelet dress- so pretty!

  3. sue koren says:

    Love the eyelet trimmed dress!

  4. I have never shopped at Bloomingdale’s but their dresses are so pretty! Great eclipse photo from your daughter. We had the same view here as you did. Ugh! Maybe in 20 years! 😉

    1. There is always hope for 2044! Lol!

  5. I have never shopped at a Bloomingdales. There isn’t one anywhere close to me.

  6. I’ve never lived in a city with a Bloomingdales so only know it from movies or TV shows. I really like the white blouse with tie and purple V neck blouses. There is a store in Seattle so maybe I should order for pickup and book a flight to go see my daughter there 😉

  7. Good idea to include Bloomingdales.

  8. Love the spring clothes. I get in my own closet and shopping rut. Thanks for sharing. Also, that’s such a beautiful picture of the eclipse.

  9. I’ve never shopped at Bloomingdale’s but they have some very pretty things!

  10. Ginger Hiller says:

Your daughter’s photo of the eclipse is beautiful! Here in our part of GA it didn’t even get dark; it was more like dusk for a very short period of time. The shadows on the ground below our two big oaks in the front yard was really cool. I really like the linen outfit. I have 16 pair of Birkenstock’s and 1 of their Papillio sandals in my closet now, and some fallish pairs up in the attic, so I can honestly say that I love that brand. For those of us that must have arch support, have very thin feet that needs full foot comfort, and narrow feet, they are perfect.

    1. Wow, Ginger, you really love your Birkenstock’s!!!

  11. I took my kids to Kentucky in 2017 (we live in MS). We commented then that the next total eclipse my daughter would be 23 and the boys would be high school juniors. Seemed crazy to imagine. When I mentioned it to them a few weeks back, they immediately asked if we were going again. When they started telling me all they remembered, I booked a room in AR closer to the path of totality (rooms IN the path were out of our price range!!!). My daughter flew in over the weekend, and we all enjoyed a beautiful trip. God blessed us with perfect skies and safe travel. We are thankful for both experiences. There’s no one else on Earth I would rather do this kind of thing with. I hope they remember both times their whole lives. I know I will.

  12. Elizabeth B says:

I’m a fan of Eileen Fisher so love the linen vest and pants. Linen is my favorite fabric for summer too. I also loved the dresses that you highlighted, so pretty.
Thanks for sharing your eclipse pictures. I had the same experience in Toronto with the cloud cover so did not see the eclipse. However, it got really dark at about 3:20 PM and the street lights came on, but after 10 minutes it got bright again, the sun came out with clear skies and the street lights came off, so that was an experience 🤣.

    1. I’m glad you got to experience it. I wouldn’t know how cool it was if I hadn’t seen the one in 2017.

  13. Cute items especially the wrap around blouse. Love that style. I also like the linen outfit. That’s what I like to wear in the summer. As far as the eclipse, it was partly cloudy. I did get to see it though. It was not as dark as I thought it was going to be. It was like twilight for 4 minutes. Then the sun came out.

  14. I’ve never shopped Bloomingdale’s as we don’t have one (I really like to try things on in the store) but I see several pieces I’m tempted to order online. I like how you showcase different stores. Opens up new horizons for me. Lol.

  15. I’m a Bloomingdale’s shopper from way back! I grew up on Long Island and used to go to the one in NYC every few years for a special shopping treat. I always headed straight for the cosmetics department! These days I shop on line for that very special something I can’t seem to find anywhere else.

  16. The spring dresses and blouses are so cute. It’s great dresses are popular this spring

  17. Landy Laird says:

In Mississippi we had too many clouds and lots of rain to see the eclipse. My sister lives in Columbus, OH and had beautiful photos of the whole thing. I love the blouses, esp the white one!!

  18. I live in Tulsa OK and we witnessed a 90% eclipse with no cloud cover (which was predicted🥳) and the whole time I marveled at Yahweh holding the moon over the sun for three days during Israel captivity – and I noticed yesterday the birdsong stopped for about an hour – incredible!

  19. Here in New Orleans it was so cloudy that we didn’t even know when the eclipse happened. But my daughter sent pictures from Columbus, Ohio and we got to experience it vicariously!
The white crossover blouse is beautiful.

  20. This was a refreshing post, thank you Tania. I am so tired of the Amazon clothes.

    1. Lol! Ann, I post about all kinds of retailers, not just Amazon. Although, Amazon is a great resource since everyone has access to it and the clothing is affordable.

  21. We had an amazing view of the eclipse in it’s totality here in central Ohio. Would show photos but don’t know how. But even the great pictures I have seen do not do seeing it with the naked eye justice. Just know it was gorgeous and I wish it happened much more often and that more of you could have experienced it. Definitely once in a lifetime but I can definitely see why there are eclipse chasers.

  22. I have never shopped at Bloomingdale’s but the items you showed are gorgeous. Especially the pretty pink tiered dress.

  23. Patti McDonald says:

Lots of pretty choices! I love the flowing purple top and wrap blouse. l like the Aqua brand- soft and feminine. Enjoy your Tuesday!

  24. Great to see what’s new for summer!

  25. Oh my the purple v neck top is gorgeous! I would like to see how you style it.

  26. Shirley Forester says:

I was upset about the clouds too. Western NC was not the place to be for an eclipse experience.

  27. Mary Kinard says:

The clouds parted in Alabama in time to see the eclipse! I have never been a Bloomingdale shopper but l really like the linen outfit and the jeans.

  28. The black dress is stunning, but pricey. I love the white cross over blouse. Crisp, neat and tailored.
In SC we had 85% totality, but no glasses. We had clear skies and we sat out, but no direct viewing. Beautiful day….raining today!

    1. I thought the cross over blouse was gorgeous also.

  29. Yes, the sun hid from us around Buffalo also, and then came out later. But the quick darkness and then daylight again was amazing.

    1. The clouds were so thick here that we didn’t even experience any extra darkness.

  30. I like the linen outfit !

  31. I have seen the Mother jeans on Instagram. I didn’t realize they were USA made. I’m trying to be more aware of buying American. The floral blouse is lovely. Thank you! The clouds and sunsets here in Minnesota have been beautiful too!

  32. Alicia Wilson says:

Linen is my new go to. Please let us know how the vest and pant fit.

    Thank you
