50 IS NOT OLD | A MILLION FISH IN THE SEAWhen I was in Livingston (aka home) I got to see family members that I only get to see once or twice a year. My Aunt Nancy, that I used to work with at an accounting agency, came to Mom’s house while I was there. Nancy and Mom are born on the very same day, just five years apart. I will tell anyone that will sit still long enough to listen that “she” is the woman I strive to be. Kind, gentle, God-fearing, honest, etc. Basically, the woman that Proverbs 31 talks about.50 IS NOT OLD | A MILLION FISH IN THE SEAI had talked to my Aunt Faye earlier and told her that Joe and I would be visiting later in the day. My Grandpa that is 99 lives with her and we wanted to visit with him Saturday night. My Grandpa LOVES Joe!!! I don’t know why that Joe is his pick, but he is. Faye told Pa that Joe and I would be coming before long and asked him if he wanted to comb his hair. Pa just ignored her and went along his business. In a little bit my Aunt told him again but this time she just said that “I” was coming to visit. Pa didn’t say anything for a few minutes and then said, “Did you say that Joe is coming to visit?” They thought that was hilarious! He had heard all along but was not responding. When we got there Pa was eating and then he got up and disappeared into the bathroom for a few minutes. He finally came outside to sit where we all were and my Aunt was smiling from ear to ear. She motioned for me to notice how nice his hair looked. It was all nice and neat and freshly combed. Lol! He couldn’t have Joe seeing him disheveled.  50 IS NOT OLD | A MILLION FISH IN THE SEA I wanted to show you how the “same” item can look completely different. I bought this top when I went to San Diego back in March. I wore the top while I was there and I even did a post on the outfit. Truthfully, I was not fond of the outcome of the outfit. It all matched but I just thought it looked off. I assumed it was because I didn’t take the pictures until the end of the day and I look like I had been rode hard and put up wet. I decided today to style the outfit a little different and see if the outcome would look better. The first thing that had to go was the spaghetti straps. I didn’t cut them off because I was afraid that I might want them later, instead, I just tucked them under my arms. Lol! I like this version MUCH better. It has a completely different feel to the outfit.

50 IS NOT OLD | A MILLION FISH IN THE SEA I have a new pair of earrings on today. I thought I ordered this pair earlier but I remembered taking them out of the cart for some reason. These are lightweight and easy to wear. They are called the White Drop Earrings. That name tickles me for some reason. I think it is a “DUH” moment for me. Lol! I once again have a slew of Alex and Ani bracelets on. They are so easy to slip on and I love the charms for their inspirations. 50 IS NOT OLD | A MILLION FISH IN THE SEA I have two bracelets on both with small pearl accents. The first one is the Evie. It reminds me of little porcupines for some reason. The other bracelet is called the Lucinda. It has been a favorite since I bought it. I dropped it on my tile floor in the bathroom the other day and I heard the tell-tale noise of one of the little pearls rolling across the floor. I didn’t think I would be able to find it because I have white tile on my floor. I found it thought and went and got out my E6000 glue. I am used to wearing vintage jewelry and E6000 is a MUST. I opened it up and took a toothpick to dab a small amount of glue on the missing spot. I licked my finger and then pressed the tiny pearl on my finger and it stuck to my finger. Then I carefully deposited it in the glue and it stayed fine. I let it dry for about 5 minutes while I was putting on my shoes and then I put it back on. No problem! If you wear jewelry, you need this glue because accidents will happen. 50 IS NOT OLD | A MILLION FISH IN THE SEA I have on the Noah Lanyard and I added the Mermaid PendantThe pendant is two sided, on one side it says, “There are a million fish in the sea, but I’m a Mermaid” and the other side is a picture of a mermaid’s tail. I love all the dangles of a shell, starfish, and beads. I have opened a new party so make sure that you are shopping under tania11. 50 IS NOT OLD | A MILLION FISH IN THE SEA I think the navy pants made a huge difference. The top looks different, I think it stands out more against the dark backdrop. The Navy Pixie Pants are from Old Navy and they are an ankle length. The neutral shoes are by Aerosole. I love this pair because they are so comfortable and they go with anything. A neutral shoe elongates your leg so I will wear this a lot during the summer.

50 IS NOT OLD | A MILLION FISH IN THE SEAWhich of the two posts do you like best? The one with the white pants or this one with the dark navy pants? Do you even see the difference? Did you just wear a strapless bra , silly question , I know

    1. Yes, Ava, I do. Lol! I have many different ones but I always reach for one that I bought at Walmart which is from Sweet Nothings.

  2. Charlcy Green says:

I I love this outfit! Much better than the one with white pants. That is the cutest top and looks fabulous on you! And the jewelry is perfect! You’re radiant today!

  3. I like this look better. You didn’t have a necklace or anything on in the other post. I think that’s what’s missing.

  4. You are right – the navy pants are better because of the contrast. Very pretty!

  5. Deborah Todd says:

Yes, I think the navy pants do the top justice. You look great. Love everything.???

  6. Looks like the Navy pants are a winner with the top, also prefer the straps outta the way, perhaps a revisit with white pants different accessories is something for the future. Xx

  7. Loving the navy pants with this top today Tania, and the jewelry is to die for! The embellishments on the sleeves are darling! Your grandfather is so funny…gettin’ all spiffed up for Joe. lol You are extremely blessed to have your older loved ones still around and to still be able to do things for themselves and to know who you and Joe are at this point in their lives. Your stories are a delight!

  8. Navy wins hands down, and you do look thinner. I also prefer it without the straps, but then I think you could rock a burlap potato sack!

  9. I love this look, it is better with the dark navy, then with white. Great story of your trip, it is great to hear and it brings back memories of going home for me. 😉

I think the difference is the necklace! You were not wearing anything around your neck in the first post with that top and I think it does need something to set it off….I agree the second look is better for you!
