50 IS NOT OLD | ARE YOU A MEMBER OF THE FUN PATROLThis is the very last Friday left in 2017! What kind of plans do you have for the weekend? Joe and I are not party animals and I would be willing to make a bet that we don’t go anywhere for New Year’s Eve. UNLESS, since Ashleigh is in town she might “make” us have fun. Lol! I am sure we would only do it under protest. I don’t want to dress frumpy but I am guilty of acting frumpy sometimes.50 IS NOT OLD | ARE YOU A MEMBER OF THE FUN PATROLPlease tell me that it is not only me that acts this way. My mind tells me that it would be fun but I can’t talk my body into acting on the notion of going through with the process. If Ashleigh makes me go or participate in an event then I end up having fun and I will be glad that I went. Why do I drag my feet? My kids used to call me the “fun patrol.” They told me that I would say, “If you see fun, move away slowly. Do not engage, do not participate.” It sounds like I might still be a fun patrol member. 50 IS NOT OLD | ARE YOU A MEMBER OF THE FUN PATROLI thought I was going to love this top when I first saw opened my trunk club shipment. I like the sleeve details, I like the material because it is really soft, but I don’t like the crop top length. Why oh why is the crop top coming into style? I feel like it allows my problem area (aka my belly) to be front and center. The imitation pearl detail draws your attention to the feminine folds on the sleeve. This is the type of top that can be dressed up or worn with jeans. That does make the top very versatile!50 IS NOT OLD | ARE YOU A MEMBER OF THE FUN PATROLSince the sleeve has a pearl detail I decided to wear pearls for my jewelry. The Rosemary necklace has been a favorite of mine since I got it. I even bought one for my daughter and both of my daughter-in-laws. I even bought the little girl version for Emersyn and Matti for Christmas. It was a limited time offer that was listed under the specials tab. Make sure you periodically check that tab for some limited offers. The Evie bracelet is what I refer to as my ladybug bracelet is mini pearls on an elastic band. It will fit up to a 9″ wrist. 50 IS NOT OLD | ARE YOU A MEMBER OF THE FUN PATROLI don’t think that I am going to keep these velvet crop pants. The fit was fantastic (size L) and they felt so comfortable but I was afraid that I would not find enough places to wear them. If you go to parties or events then these would be adorable. Velvet is a huge trend this year and so is ruffles. I have been looking at other ruffled crop pants and if these weren’t velvet then I might have considered keeping them. Let me hear what you think! 50 IS NOT OLD | ARE YOU A MEMBER OF THE FUN PATROL If you can get over my pasty white legs then take a look at these classic Coach black pumps. I think a classic black pump is a wardrobe staple. They look good with dresses, slacks, jeans, skirts, or even shorts. I looked for a long time until I found this pair and I have been thrilled with them. I have been looking for the perfect white pump also but so far they have alluded me.

50 IS NOT OLD | ARE YOU A MEMBER OF THE FUN PATROLHave you made any New Year’s resolutions? I want to watch my diet and start eating better. I want to start exercising. I want to pay more attention to my family and friends. I want, I want, I want. Now, it comes down to implementing my wants. Some resolutions are harder than others. I actually had taking care of my skin on my list 2 years ago. That is why in January I had my Energizer Bunny Friend order the Reverse regimen for me. I had no idea how that resolution would change my skin, my available funds, and my life. I know that if I change my diet, exercise, and lose weight that all of that would affect my life but I never expected washing my face would have such a HUGE impact. If you want to also have a New You in the New Year then take the first step. Take the Solutions Tool and email me to see how I can help you.

  1. Good Morning Tania: I agree that the top is cute but unfortunately too short, but I do love those pants! They’re funky and different and I think you should keep them as long as they didn’t cost too much.

    1. Janice, I love the pants too and I would keep them if they were of a different material. I just think that I would get more wear out of them in the spring and summer and velvet wouldn’t go great then.

Happy New Year! The cropped velvet pants don’t make sense unless you spend winter in a warm climate. The top is not flattering and I don’t think it would look very good on anyone. Love the necklace and pumps!

    1. Bonnie, I could almost wear those pumps with EVERYTHING!

  3. Oh my goodness Tania!! If I had those velvet crop pants in my possession, I know I wouldn’t be able to send them back! They are adorable!!! I agree with you on the crop tops, those are not one bit flattering on me either! We are planning a dinner out with another couple this weekend, but other than that ringing in the New Year most likely watching Netflix……. Lol…..we are such party animals! Have a wonderful weekend! ?

    1. Kathy, those pants fit so nice and are incredibly comfortable. I am on the lookout for another pair just in a different material.

  4. I love those velvet pants on you! Depending on the price, you should keep them. You have been going to R&F events where you have to dress up, and those little crop pants with a sparkly top would be awesome. I think you would get more wear out of them than you think. You said they are comfortable…. they are cute as can be….. and they just scream young and stylish! The top is adorable, but too short, and I think you would be tugging it down all the time. I love hearing and seeing more about the Trunk Club.

    1. Carri, I thought the same thing about the pants. I am going to a R+F event in January but it is going to very casual. I do think they are very stylish and I am looking for another pair. The trunk club is really nice. When you sign up you tell your stylist what price range you are comfortable with, a description of your style, link your Pinterest boards, and tell them how often you want a shipment. She will send you a preview of your shipment and you can take out some of the items and they will be replaced by some other things. When it comes you try on your items and then log on to the website and say what you are keeping and what you don’t like about the things you are sending back. It can take a couple of shipments for your stylist to get the hang of your style. Then you schedule a pickup, put the enclosed tape on the box and slap on the label. When they get the items back they will then charge your card on file. The cost is 25.00 for the service but if you purchase anything then that comes off the price of the item so you are not out anything. I put a referral link in the blog post that I appreciate you using if you decide to sign up.

Happy New Year Tania? We have a new litter of English Bulldogs so we will ring in the New Year “puppy-sitting”?I’m not a fan of the crop length top either; perhaps it is stylish once again due to the high waisted pants being trendy. I’ve purchased a few pieces with velvet trim, but have not ventured into a full velvet piece. Love the sleeve detail on the top. I have one similar from INC Macy’s brand and always get a lot of compliments. Sharon Ferguson

    1. When I first took the top out of the bag I was in love with the sleeve detail. BUT, when I saw the length I knew it would probably not be staying.

  6. I like the crop pant; and you can wear them to club or date night. I guess I would have to estimate the number of places and ways I could change up the look to justify the cost. I am not a fan of the crop top overall. I do like the details but I would (knowing me) be miserable wearing it. We don’t really do anything on New Years and I’m ok with that!! My year always starts on my birthday! That’s when I truly make resolutions and assess my life. It’s far too cold here to get too enthused about New Years. Give me a blanket and a book and I’m fine!! Enjoy your weekend! Best…Kathy

    1. Well, since there are not a lot of club or date nights I doubt if I would be wearing these pants very much. Lol! Actually, that sounds like a perfect way to ring in the New Year!

  7. Charlcy Green says:

Ooh I love, love these velvet crop pants! What a fun, style- setter piece! Keep them! The top does not accentuate any belly you believe you have and looks great w the pants. And of course the pumps top it off. Go have some fun w your daughter! I only wish there was something fun to do for New Years in Roswell!

    1. I think my daughter will have plans for New Year’s Eve and I doubt it will involve the Fun Patrol. Lol!

  8. Cindy Paino says:

Those velvet crop pants are ADORABLE! Perfect for New Year’s Eve, an anniversary dinner, a cold January evening out. I think they’re blue, not 100% sure. Would look beautiful w that off white cable sweater you had yesterday.

    1. I agree that the pants would look great for all of those events. The pants are black, not blue. I sometimes get a funny hue from the porch roof when I take my pictures.

  9. I love the crop top and the crop velvet pants!!

  10. Hi Tania!!
Tell me more about the Trunk Club ?
