Help Wanted Ad: Who Will You Choose to Lead Your Life?

Have you ever sat down and thought about all the areas in your life where you need help? Life can feel overwhelming at times—between responsibilities, expectations, and the never-ending to-do list, it’s easy to feel like we’re drowning.

Recently, I was thinking about hiring someone to help with tasks to free up some of my time. As I lay awake one night, my mind drifted to all the different areas in my life where I could use some help. That’s when I realized—this wasn’t just about work; this was about life.

I needed guidance, strength, wisdom, peace, and support. And then it hit me: If I were to write a ‘Help Wanted’ ad for my life, what would it say?

The Help Wanted Ad: What Do We Really Need?

If you’re feeling overworked, overwhelmed, or just plain tired, maybe you need to post a Help Wanted ad too. Here’s what mine would look like:

Help Wanted

A busy, overworked wife, mother, and grandmother needs someone to keep her on track. Must be available 24/7 with no vacation days or time off.

The ideal candidate should be able to keep me focused, guide my steps, and light my path. They must know me inside and out, understanding my every need and desire. The right person will have the power to move mountains on my behalf and help me accomplish my purpose. I need someone who can heal me from sickness, protect me from harm, and bring me peace. They must be filled with love, overflowing with forgiveness, and always speak truth with kindness. Gossip and negativity are not welcome in this position.

This person must also be a warrior, willing to fight for me and my family. They will provide for all my needs, but they alone must pay the price. My only responsibility will be to listen, obey, and trust them completely.

If you do not meet all of these qualifications, please do not apply.

Can you believe that I actually received two applications???

Application #1: The Savior’s Response

Dear Overworked Daughter,

I would like to apply for the job. You don’t need to pay anything—I have already paid with My life.

I AM available at any time of day or night. Just call out to Me, and I will be there for you. I AM a mover of mountains, and even the winds and waves obey My command. I AM the Light of the World, and I will guide your steps and illuminate your path.

Before you were even born, I knew you. I know every detail about you, right down to the number of hairs on your head. I understand your every need, and I promise that if you knock, seek, and ask, I will answer.

I specialize in love and forgiveness, offering them freely, even to those who beat, mocked, and crucified Me. Healing comes easily to Me, for I AM the Great Physician. I have made the lame walk, the blind see, and the dead rise. Protection is also My promise, as I command an army of angels who are always ready to fight for you. If you give Me your burdens, I will give you peace and joy beyond understanding.

While I have already paid the price for you, I do ask one thing: Follow Me. Listen to My voice, obey My instructions, and have faith in Me. I am also accepting applications from others, so please share My contact information. There is room for all who seek Me.

Signed,
Jesus Christ

Application #2: The Deceiver’s Offer

Dear Overworked,

You’re not enough, and you never will be. You’re falling behind while others are thriving. Why keep trying when you’ll never measure up?

Forget light—darkness is more exciting. Hire me, and I will fill your heart with doubt, comparison, and insecurity. I will teach you how to spread hate, lies, and gossip, making you believe that you don’t need anyone but yourself. Love and forgiveness are overrated. Instead of offering peace, I will show you how to fight others and hold onto resentment.

However, there is a cost. You must pay the price. You must die alone and spend eternity in Hell with me. But don’t worry—you won’t be alone. Many others have followed my path. Join the majority. Be part of the crowd. Bring others along, too.

Signed,
Satan

The Choice Is Yours

I read through both applications, and I realized… there is only one answer.

Joshua 24:15 (NIV):
“But if serving the Lord seems undesirable to you, then choose for yourselves this day whom you will serve, whether the gods your ancestors served beyond the Euphrates, or the gods of the Amorites, in whose land you are living. But as for me and my household, we will serve the Lord.”

Jesus has already applied for the position of Savior, Protector, and Provider in our lives. All we have to do is choose Him.

Satan will always try to lure us with lies, but his only goal is to steal, kill, and destroy (John 10:10).

The question remains: Who will you hire?

To God Goes The Glory!

Have A Blessed Day!

Let’s End with a Prayer

Heavenly Father, thank You for always being there when I call. I know that I can trust You to guide me, protect me, and provide for my every need. Help me to resist the enemy’s lies and keep my eyes fixed on You. I surrender my burdens to You and choose to walk in faith, not fear. May I always seek to glorify You in all that I do.

In Jesus’ name,
Amen.
