MADE IN HIS IMAGE
I soon realized that helping women feel better about their outside was important but what about the inside? What about the person who had been told they weren’t good enough? What about the woman who had been told that they weren’t loveable? What about the person who was told that they were not pretty? The list could go on and on.
The real truth is that you ARE good enough, you ARE loveable, and you ARE pretty. The problem is not with you the problem is with the person spewing the lies. I am not saying we are perfect but I am saying that the opinion of the Lord is the one that matters and not someone here on earth.
Psalm 139:14 says, I will praise thee; for I am fearfully and wonderfully made: marvellous are thy works; and that my soul knoweth right well.
The Lord made YOU. He breathed life into your soul, He created your body, He knows every hair on your head. Do you think He considers you imperfect? The Lord created the entire universe, the heavens, the stars, and He also created you. We marvel at a beautiful sunset, the power of Niagra Falls, or the breathtaking view of the Grand Canyon. All those things are breathtaking but none of them were made in the Lord image.
Genesis 1:27says, So God created mankind in his own image, in the image of God he created them; male and female he created them.
I know that society judges us by our outward appearance. The Lord does not. The next time you see a beautiful sunset just remember that the same God who created that sunset also created YOU.
Have A Blessed Day!
I needed this reminder today. Thank you!
Beautifully said! I needed to hear this today, for I’ve been struggling with my appearance and self-worth. Thank you!
Beautiful!
This was especially beautiful & timely, Tania!~ And I shared on Facebook! Love you!
Charlcy, I wish you lived close by.
Such a blessing to receive encouraging words. PS 139:14 is one of my favorite scriptures bc I have two daughters that quoted this scripture many times. They were involved with a group of young girls called Caterpillars & Butterflies (church group) At the beginning of every meeting, they would quote this scripture. We are fearfully and wonderfully made. Thank you for that reminder and taking me back to all those sweet, little girls sitting in a circle, thanking God for the way they were made. God Bless, Beautiful Lady…You are fearfully & wonderfully made!
I always look forward to your blogs. Sundays are my favorite.
So true and encouraging to think that God cares that much for us!
A simply beautiful post!! The Lord uses you , indeed!
