LIGHTWEIGHT CARDIGANS FOR COOLER MORNINGS
I hope everyone is having a wonderful Labor Day. The lumber company is open today until around 2:00 pm. I don’t plan on working today though, especially since the post office and banks are going to be closed. I doubt if we will be swamped, but Joe likes to open up the store just in case someone wants to be able to get some “honey-do” work done. I need to sit down and create myself a honey-do list.
I think that the change in the seasons is what is prompting me to want to clean. When spring comes, it seems like everyone wants to do spring cleaning. In the fall of the year, it is time to put away all of the summer items and get ready for the cooler months ahead. It is also the time to do things around the house in preparation for the winter. People start looking at their insulation, they check their gutters and put screens on them, they seal their driveways, and you also want to check your roof for missing shingles or leaks. My honey-do list might look different from that one. Instead, I am looking at fall foliage maps, seeking out pumpkin patches, looking for fodder shocks, and starting a Pinterest board of fall decorating. I don’t know if I will actually “do” any decorating, but I’ll be ready just in case. Lol!
I am still in “transition” wardrobe phase for fall. I find it cooler in the mornings and evenings, but it is still scorching during the daytime. So, I like to layer with lightweight cardigans or jackets, and then I remove them during the day. The rainbow-striped cardigan is one that I bought early in the spring when I was transitioning into warmer weather. My sweater is geared more toward spring, but I linked to ones that I thought would be great for fall. Be sure to check those out and see what you think.
The gold and silver teardrop-shaped Rosaleen earrings have a 2.75″ drop. I like that they are both gold and silver so that I don’t feel the need to wear only one or the other. I mix the two metals a lot, but I know that might seem weird for some of you. Honestly, I thought it was strange when I first starting wearing them together also. Lol! My multi-colored necklace is called Rain. I like how it has so many different colors and different shapes of beads. You are bound to have something that will match this necklace in your wardrobe. My multi-colored bracelet with the palm leaf charm is part of the Randee set. The Randee set has four stretch bracelets, and this is one of the four.
Instead of wearing jeans today, I added a light yellow pair of chinos. It seems like I have been wearing jeans so much lately that I wanted to break the cycle. I bet that most of you are like me, though, and jeans are your go-to item of choice. Let me see all of my jeans-wearing ladies hands go up in the air. I purchased these at GAP a month or so ago, but I haven’t been able to find them on their website. I love the pale color, but I love the easy-going and relaxed style of the pants the best. There are days when I don’t want to dress up, and those days are coming more frequently. I wonder if it has something to do with age or maybe even retirement. More than likely, it is a mixture of the two things together.

Can you do a post of your hair? I LOVE your hair, and want a similar cut, but having thin-ish hair, I’m not quite sure I have what it takes. Also, need a picture of the back of your hair and how you style it every morning to get it looking so fabulous!! Thanks for considering!! I’m sure I’m not the only one who thinks it looks great!!
I will try to do one the next time that I go to the salon. I think it is sometime next week.
I just love all the color! Its so refreshing to not be wearing black, like so many others I know are. Its fresh and vibrant. Thanks for the inspiration! -now to convince my husband I need to go shopping! Wish me luck.
Your use of color is so refreshing. There are a lot of basic wardrobe blogs with gray, white, black and navy and I’m a basic myself but I’m moving toward more color and loving it. I love this cardigan and the necklace just puts the icing on the cake. Beautiful!
Thanks. I love wearing lots of color but I have noticed myself wearing more and more solids lately. Hummmmm.
Lol I learned something new today. I never new those gathered up, dried out corn stalks are caked fodder shocks. You look cute as always!
Lol! Kathy, you never know what you will learn from my blog. It is more than just fashion. Haha!
I love the colours! But what is a honey-do list please? I don’t think I’ve come across that before
Hayley, that is a list where you say, “honey, do this, and honey, do that” Your “honey” will not be happy. Lol!
Cute colorful outfit! You always find the most different and fun things! Awesome that Harvard and Dave Ramsey bothg R&F kudos! And yep, I’m for sure a jeans girl!
I take wearing jeans in spells. I am for sure in a spell right now since I don’t want to wear anything else.
