LET’S GO FOR A RIDE
Yesterday I had a wonderful afternoon! It was a day made in NeeNee heaven. I went next door to go pick up Emersyn. I knocked on her door, and listened as her little feet came running. She threw back the curtain, and started trying to unlock the door. Her mom came and opened it for her, and she yelled, “NeeNee, can I go to your house?”
That is called a heart melting moment. I told her to grab some shoes and let’s go. With her shoes finally on, and two baby dolls in tow, off we went. We pulled into the driveway, but never even got into the house. We have an old (1987) RV, and Emersyn squealed that she wanted to go into the bus. Of course that is exactly what we did. It had to be over 100 degrees in that thing, but it didn’t phase her in the least. We played for about 20 minutes, when I saw Joe walk by. It startled him when I knocked on the window, and he came in to join us. He started the RV, and we soon had cool air blowing. Joseph and Kayla walked over, and we all climbed in to take a ride in the bus. Emersyn was giddy, she couldn’t believe we were going down the road. We turned around after just a little while and went back to the house. As we pulled down the road that leads to the house, little miss starts to squeal. “NO, I want to go to NeeNee’s house!” Guess where she got to go. Lol!
I didn’t get to start the post until 8:45 p.m. So, with no further ado, we will get right down to the meat and potatoes. This is a perfect fall transition piece. It is a very light weight high/low tunic by Umgee. The colors are perfect for the upcoming fall, and you could wear this in several different ways.

I have on my Stella & Dot Zuni Layering necklace. I wore this same necklace in yesterday’s post, but these pictures were taken a week or more apart. It was just by accident that they ended up back to back. This necklace looks good with this top, because of the bone color. The print is very busy in this top, so the solid bone spikes stand out nicely.
I choose to wear a pair of navy leggings with this top. It is REALLY long in the back, (that picture is below) so I had plenty of hiney coverage. Haha This is a pair of leggings that I picked up at a local boutique, but you can find leggings pretty much everywhere. If you notice, I have on two different shoes with this look. One is more for the transitional phase, and the other is more for the fall phase. The Aerosole wedges match the purse I am carrying, and help to make my legs look longer.

I am carrying one of my favorite fall purses. Actually, you can carry this purse all four seasons, but I bought it in the fall, so I consider it a fall purse. This is a canvas purse by Michael Kors that I bought years ago at TJ Maxx. It is a linen color, but the material is canvas. I love canvas purses, and I have just recently got a new one that I can’t wait to show you.

Here is the fall look, featuring a pair of booties. I bought these booties at Old Navy a couple weeks ago on my way to Tennessee.
Here is the view from the back. I told you this tunic was really long. This makes two tops that I have purchased this year that are really long in the back. I assume this is a new style that will be in all the stores. It is going to have to grow on me, I am not a fan just yet.
I know this was a “wham bam, thank you ma’am” kind of post. Sorry, but I had to go riding in a bus, what can I say. When a little blonde headed sweetheart, looks at you, and says, “Please NeeNee.” Yep, we are doing whatever it is. Lol!
I don’t know if any of you are Halloween nuts, like me, but this is something that is going to be on sale at Plunder starting today. There is some confusion as to what time they will be actually available for purchase, so if you are interested, you can contact me and I will help you. I will be buying myself a couple of these goodies anyway. Lol!

First time here– darling outfit! Found you over at Grace and Beauty. Following you now. Love the Halloween jewelry- so fun!
I am so glad you found me Jule. Cindy is a doll, I love her site. I ordered all the Halloween items. Haha
Love the fallish outfit!! The tunic grabbed my attention with the burguny & navy combo/design. Ditto to what Sue
said about wearing two different shoes, lol (I like both). You are so blessed to have your granddaughter living so
close to pull your heartstrings :))
Love this look on you. The red bracelet is darling…I have a “thing” for vintage keys…might have something to do with my last name:).
I have a thing for vintage keys too. My Aunt’s last name is Key also. Lol!
What a dream to have your granddaughter that close to you. My heart hurts to see my my sweetie pie’s more often. I don’t blame you a bit, NeeNee, this Nani couldn’t say NO either. Super cute again today!
Great colors and I like the tunic on you. I’m not totally sold on the longerin the back style either. Maybe it’ll grow on me. Grandchildren are born with a special skill set designed to melt our hearts and forget everything we said we’d do. My grandchildren will make me stop everything in a split second. You are building precious memories that she’ll never forget. Hubby and I are hitting the road this evening for a family funeral. Love road trips, but I don’t like this reason. Have a great day “NeNe”!
I love that tunic…the color, the cut, the print, the sleeves, the neckline…and it looks comfy!
Really nice outfit. Looks great with both shoes. Enjoy those darling grandbabies, they grow up too fast!
Lovely outfit and cute story. Thanks for sharing both and taking us along for the ride. ?

Love the outfit, love the look. Beautiful tunic, though I join in the ‘not a fan of back length being so much longer’ group. Nonetheless, it looks wonderful on you.
Love the tunic! You made me look when you said you were wearing two different shoes, lol! Then I realized you didn’t mean at the same time! It’s early and I haven’t had my coffee. The Halloween jewelry looks adorable! Going to check it out.
Hahaha, Sue. I guess I need to start watching how I word things. Although, I don’t know why I would start “now!” Lol!
