LEOPARD PRINT LEGGINGS
Do you ever have those days when you feel like you are flying along, everything seems to be going just right and then you have the rug pulled out from under you? I think most of us have experienced that at one time or another. That’s how I am feeling right now. I’ve had a couple of “emails” where a reader explains her dislike of something I am doing or feels the need to tell me why she is unsubscribing from my blog and it has sent me into a tailspin.
I immediately start thinking about changing this or that, shopping somewhere else, or writing differently. I am not sure if it is a good trait or a bad trait, but I am a people pleaser. I can’t stand for someone to be unhappy or mad at me, it drives me crazy. I know that it is impossible to please everybody and that some people are never going to be happy, but it still drives me nuts. We have all gotten so used to the idea of “unfriending” someone on Facebook that we never really think about what that means. Unsubscribe or unfriend, it means the same thing, I don’t like “you.” Most of the time we are unaware that someone no longer wants to be our “friend” but occasionally you find this out and you feel hurt. I have gone to see something on someone’s Facebook page before and it shows the friendship status. It will either say “friends” or “add friend.” But I thought I was already friends with this person and then it hits me, they have unfriended me at some time. That is almost like a punch in the stomach. The funny thing about that occasion was I wasn’t really friends with this person anyway, we were more like acquaintances. I shouldn’t have even cared but for some reason I did. Months down the road I got a “friend” request from this person and I almost said no, you had your chance. Lol!
I am going with black again because of a request from a reader to post some black attire. She has to wear black for her job, and she wanted some inspiration. Black is tricky for a lot of people because I can be harsh next to your face. I like the neckline of this dress because it gives some separation before the black starts. This is a know swing dress that I bought at Old Navy and I am obsessed with this dress. I really wish I had found it earlier in the year, I would own one of every color that had. I plan on checking back with them on Black Friday and see if there are any available then.
I have on my silver waterfall necklace. I think all the little chains make this a fun necklace, it has a little movement as you walk. And I also am wearing my Mason earrings. These have quickly become my favorite earrings and I wear them anytime I think my outfit calls for silver.
I bet you weren’t expecting the leopard print leggings when you first started looking at this outfit. Lol! Of course, you could go with something a little more sedate (aka – boring haha) but I liked the fun look of this pair. These are the softest leggings and they were only $10.00. I bought these at a street fair, not exactly where you would think of to go buy leggings.
The Dooney & Bourke purse was a clearance sale item that I bought last year. I carried this a lot last winter and I can see the wear marks on the bottom. I admit that I am not gentle with my purses, I just recently started hanging them up at work instead on setting them on the floor.
I put these c/o booties on first because I didn’t want to be black, black, and black. However, when I looked at this picture I immediately went and changed. The beige color in the shoes and the leggings didn’t look right together. The boots made the leggings look lavender, which they aren’t.
The two bracelets are the Wanda and the Logan. The Logan was a hostess rewards item back a month or so ago and they must have sold out of it, I can’t find it on their site anymore. Through the rest of November I I am offering 10% off any order over 50.00 (excluding the taxes and shipping) I will send you a check. To place an order for the 10% off with Plunder, go to www.plunderdesign.com/party/tania Plunder will be offering Black Friday specials. They will announce on Thursday what the specials will be and they will be available on Friday for purchase.
Today I will be at the craft fair that my woman’s club is having. I was there last night setting everything up, and I will need to be back at 8:00 this morning. I will not be back home till around 5 or 6 tonight. It will be a loooong day. I hate letting little things get me in a funk. I need to start singing a snappy tune and see if that will help. What do you do to overcome the blahs? Do you let other people’s comments get to you? Am I just a whiny baby? Lol!!! Nevermind, don’t answer that last one. Hahaha!
I know everyone is not interested in Rodan and Fields, so that is why I post about it at the end of my blog, you can simply choose to skip over anything you don’t want to know about. But, for those of you who are interested in their skincare products, I am giving you a link that you can use to help determine which product would be right for you. Go to www.tstephens5.myrandf.com/Pages/OurProducts/GetAdviceSolutionsTool

The reason I post about R & F is because I love the products, and I love the results. You have heard me say over and over again that I love a jacket or cardigan because they help hide any lumps and bumps I have. However, my face is the one thing that I cannot hide. It is out there for EVERYONE to see EVERY DAY, and I want to look the best I can.

Hey Tania: I always enjoy your blog and your style! Don’t let the negative comments of others get you down. Your blog is one I check out daily!!
Tania,
I have to say that one of my favorite things about you is how comfortable you are in your own skin, I strive for that in my life! I love your vivaciousness, is that even a word ;), in everything you do. You are beautiful and welcoming, you are that gurl that everyone wants to have as a best friend! Haters are out there…too bad that they can’t enjoy the joy of being part of lifting other women up instead of tearing them down! We are all in this together 🙂
By the way, I must say your skin is simply radiant!
Try not to worry about the negativity. Trolls are everywhere! It is not your blog or you they dislike, it is themselves. They are miserable people and feel good when they spread it around. I appreciate your willingness to try new styles and show all of us what we might want to wear. I’m 5’2′ so I don’t expect everything you style will work for me. My personality is different than yours and I live in the Pacific Northwest. Not everything will work for everyone and that is okay. I get plenty of ideas from you about colors, patterns and textures that look good together. I also love the shoes you wear and how to put them with an outfit. There is a lot going on in your blog, so don’t feel you are letting your readers down! We appreciate you!!
Shake it off, honey! The rest of us enjoy you immensely. You are my favorite fashion blogger, which is why I tune in every day. I was looking at my older sisters “lip lines” thinking I had better get started on the R&F serum before it happens to me!! Hahaha…..
Haha, Nancy. Thank you for the sweet comments on my blog. I would blow you a kiss, but I have worked hard to get rid of these lip pucker lines. Haha I’ll message you about the lip serum.
So sorry anyone has hurt You, You do so much to try & help us look & feel better about ourselves & Our God…..Thank You for ALL You do!! I have a question? Are people switching from wearing hose to leggings or tights?? The reason I ask, I normally do not wear hose during hot weather anymore & had bought up enough pairs of hose to get me through the remainder of Spring & Summer…..Well, it started getting colder here in Virginia, so last night I went out to get me a few pairs to last me for awhile….I could not hardly find any at all?? There are lots of leggings & tights, but very few pairs of hose?? Am I supposed to change over to Them, & also I did not see but a very few pairs of tights & leggings that had control tops in them?? Help me, What do I do??
Deb, hardly anybody wears hose, leggings and tights are now the way to go. They look super cute and they are much warmer.
I’m a people pleaser too so I know how you must feel now. But please don’t let this bother you. You are an inspiration to many of us. Keep the bounce in your step. Have a wonderful day!
I just stumbled upon your blog the other day on Pinterest and it was love at first sight! I’ve got the style sense of a rock. I was immediately drawn to your outfits and your writing style is so friendly and conversational that I want to be friends with you IRL! Anyhoo…I look forward to reading your blog everyday and stepping up my fashion game!
Aww, thanks, Carroll. Comments like yours is what keeps me going. ?

It truly is one of the best out there! ?
?
Well I think a lot of your styles are just darling! The leggings are just too cute! Do you ever share what size clothing you wear? It might give us girls and idea of how certain styles will look on us.
Thanks for keeping us looking young.
Linda
Linda, I wear a size 10 or a large in most things. I am 5″6″ and weigh approx. 150-160 at any given time. I prefer the 150. Lol!
Thanks for sharing your sizes. That really helped. You are too sweet ?
I look forward to your blog everyday, Tania. You are always so upbeat that I can’t imagine anyone wanting to unsubscribe, and tell you about it! Keep doing what you do-it works for a whole lot of people!
