50 IS NOT OLD | LEOPARD PRINT LEGGINGSDo you ever have those days when you feel like you are flying along, everything seems to be going just right and then you have the rug pulled out from under you? I think most of us have experienced that at one time or another. That’s how I am feeling right now. I’ve had a couple of “emails” where a reader explains her dislike of something I am doing or feels the need to tell me why she is unsubscribing from my blog and it has sent me into a tailspin.50 IS NOT OLD | LEOPARD PRINT LEGGINGSI immediately start thinking about changing this or that, shopping somewhere else, or writing differently. I am not sure if it is a good trait or a bad trait, but I am a people pleaser. I can’t stand for someone to be unhappy or mad at me, it drives me crazy. I know that it is impossible to please everybody and that some people are never going to be happy, but it still drives me nuts. We have all gotten so used to the idea of “unfriending” someone on Facebook that we never really think about what that means. Unsubscribe or unfriend, it means the same thing, I don’t like “you.” Most of the time we are unaware that someone no longer wants to be our “friend” but occasionally you find this out and you feel hurt. I have gone to see something on someone’s Facebook page before and it shows the friendship status. It will either say “friends” or “add friend.” But I thought I was already friends with this person and then it hits me, they have unfriended me at some time. That is almost like a punch in the stomach. The funny thing about that occasion was I wasn’t really friends with this person anyway, we were more like acquaintances. I shouldn’t have even cared but for some reason I did. Months down the road I got a “friend” request from this person and I almost said no, you had your chance. Lol!50 IS NOT OLD | LEOPARD PRINT LEGGINGSI am going with black again because of a request from a reader to post some black attire. She has to wear black for her job, and she wanted some inspiration. Black is tricky for a lot of people because I can be harsh next to your face. I like the neckline of this dress because it gives some separation before the black starts. This is a know swing dress that I bought at Old Navy and I am obsessed with this dress. I really wish I had found it earlier in the year, I would own one of every color that had. I plan on checking back with them on Black Friday and see if there are any available then.

50 IS NOT OLD | LEOPARD PRINT LEGGINGSI have on my silver waterfall necklace. I think all the little chains make this a fun necklace, it has a little movement as you walk. And I also am wearing my Mason earrings. These have quickly become my favorite earrings and I wear them anytime I think my outfit calls for silver.50 IS NOT OLD | LEOPARD PRINT LEGGINGSI bet you weren’t expecting the leopard print leggings when you first started looking at this outfit. Lol! Of course, you could go with something a little more sedate (aka – boring haha) but I liked the fun look of this pair. These are the softest leggings and they were only $10.00. I bought these at a street fair, not exactly where you would think of to go buy leggings.

50 IS NOT OLD | LEOPARD PRINT LEGGINGSThe Dooney & Bourke purse was a clearance sale item that I bought last year. I carried this a lot last winter and I can see the wear marks on the bottom. I admit that I am not gentle with my purses, I just recently started hanging them up at work instead on setting them on the floor.

50 IS NOT OLD | LEOPARD PRINT LEGGINGSI put these c/o booties on first because I didn’t want to be black, black, and black. However, when I looked at this picture I immediately went and changed. The beige color in the shoes and the leggings didn’t look right together. The boots made the leggings look lavender, which they aren’t.50 IS NOT OLD | LEOPARD PRINT LEGGINGSThe two bracelets are the Wanda and the Logan. The Logan was a hostess rewards item back a month or so ago and they must have sold out of it, I can’t find it on their site anymore. Through the rest of November I I am offering 10% off any order over 50.00 (excluding the taxes and shipping) I will send you a check. To place an order for the 10% off with Plunder, go to www.plunderdesign.com/party/tania Plunder will be offering Black Friday specials. They will announce on Thursday what the specials will be and they will be available on Friday for purchase.
50 IS NOT OLD | LEOPARD PRINT LEGGINGSToday I will be at the craft fair that my woman’s club is having. I was there last night setting everything up, and I will need to be back at 8:00 this morning. I will not be back home till around 5 or 6 tonight. It will be a loooong day. I hate letting little things get me in a funk. I need to start singing a snappy tune and see if that will help. What do you do to overcome the blahs? Do you let other people’s comments get to you? Am I just a whiny baby? Lol!!! Nevermind, don’t answer that last one. Hahaha!

I know everyone is not interested in Rodan and Fields, so that is why I post about it at the end of my blog, you can simply choose to skip over anything you don’t want to know about. But, for those of you who are interested in their skincare products, I am giving you a link that you can use to help determine which product would be right for you. Go to www.tstephens5.myrandf.com/Pages/OurProducts/GetAdviceSolutionsTool

I am offering 10% off any order over 50.00 (excluding the taxes and shipping) I will send you a check. To place and order or look at some of the products, go to www.tstephens5.myrandf.com.

The reason I post about R & F is because I love the products, and I love the results. You have heard me say over and over again that I love a jacket or cardigan because they help hide any lumps and bumps I have. However, my face is the one thing that I cannot hide. It is out there for EVERYONE to see EVERY DAY, and I want to look the best I can.

Tania, you are beautiful inside & out & you rock every single outfit I’ve ever seen you in! I love the way you pair the colored purse or shoes w/every outfit. I too am a people pleaser & it just kills me when I have a friend stop calling me or say something tacky. I worry about it for days. And I’ll never understand why some people just stop being your friend & you don’t even know why. But you & I have to remember “We are a princess of the King & he will never leave us or stop being our friend!” Some people just have no tact! I’m sorry people are saying negative things about your blog cause I look forward to it every day! Happy Thanksgiving, girlfriend!

  3. Tania,

The long thread of responses says it all!
You are appreciated and bring sunshine into our days as well as color, imagination and wardrobe success.
Being tender hearted is a good quality.
It is part of what makes you compassionate, caring and giving!
To those that feel it is their job to re-write your blog … they can do one of their own if they have so much to say and disagre with yours!
Some folks look at everything through negative eyes and tear others down in the process. A dear friend reminded me long ago to determine 6* of separation from such negativity….
Life is too precious and fragile to waste on negativity!
Love the dress… bought it in short and long sleeves myself a few weeks back!
Love the touch of leopard! Love your blog!
    Keep on INSPIRING woman!

  4. I agree with all of the previous comments. I really don’t understand what purpose it serves for anyone to contact you with the negativity. Just know your fans far outweigh those few.

  5. Hi Tania! I’m pretty new to your blog. I’m not quite sure how I found it. Most likely on Pinterest or through another blogger. Anyway…I just recently subscribed by email. I noticed I kept checking every day to see what you were posting so figured why not get the daily emails? I love clothes and good style but find that fashion magazines don’t have anything to offer the 40-50+ crowd. I am finding more inspiration on blogs. I love what you do! You dress youthfully and fun while still looking like a grown lady. You show us that we don’t have to put ourselves in a box and limit what we wear simply because we are a certain age. You inspire me to have fun with my clothes and to just go ahead and wear what I like. Keep being you because it’s working! And thank you for your fun blog:)

  6. Tania: You are adorable and I love your style and blog. You can’t please everyone and honestly, I don’t have the energy to try. You can only be yourself and if someone doesn’t like that – they should just move on. No need to leave rude comments.

I so enjoy reading your posts and looking at the fun way you put outfits together. I also like the way you mix and match clothing that is easily affordable and accessible with clothes that are a little more expensive When I retired, one of the things I celebrated was feeling liberated in choosing what to wear each day.Your blog is an excellent go to for inspiration. You seem to exude joy, and isn’t that what it’s all about? Keep that confident smile on your face! It’s your best accessory

  8. (((Hugs))) to you, Tania! I love your blog, especially how real you are with your followers. I’m sorry you were hurt.☹️️ Hang in there, Girl!…and keep doing what you’re doing!
