LAYERING FOR WARMTH IN THE MORNINGS

The days are getting longer every day, and the temperatures are getting warmer. By the afternoon, the temperatures rise into the 60s, and sometimes we even see temps in the 70s. However, the mornings are still cool, so I try to layer for comfort in the morning and the afternoon.

A lightweight jacket is what I reach for, and this Magenta Diamond Quilted Jacket is the perfect way to start my mornings. The jacket is lightweight but warm enough for my chilly mornings. It also has a water-resistant poly shell, so I don’t have to worry about a small spring shower. The quilting is gorgeous on this jacket, and the styling is feminine.

The jacket zips and then has snap closures with a storm placket. It has pockets that zip closed to hold your keys, etc., securely as you run your errands. Also, the jacket is washable, and that is one detail that I love!!! I’m wearing a medium, and I think it fits great! The jacket comes in lots of colors, and while I love this color for spring and summer, a navy one would be great for fall also.

Don’t you love the mixed quilting and princess seams? This jacket looks expensive, and you will be able to wear it for years.

I shed the quilted jacket once the sun burns off the dew and the temperatures start to rise. This long-sleeved Limited Edition Shirt is so cute, and I love the botanical print and gingham trim. The gingham print is on the inside of the collar and cuffs. When you roll up your sleeves, the contrasting gingham print looks great. Since there are so many colors in this shirt, you will have many options to wear it with, but I can’t wait to wear it with white jeans, shorts, or a skirt.

You can see the gingham print trim in this photo. I am wearing a size 10, and the shirt fits great with no gaps between the buttons. One more thing…did I mention that this is a NO IRON shirt???

My Wedgewood blue pants are the Dennisport Comfort-Waist Chinos. There is an excellent reason these are called “comfort-waist,” it’s because they are very comfortable. Lol! What is great about these pants is that they have a flattering flat front, and they have an elastic waist in the back which gives them the comfort level we all want. I feel like the pants have a slightly tapered straight leg, and I like the silhouette. I’m wearing a size 8, and they fit great. I liked them so much that I also have them coming in white. I told you that I wanted to wear the Botanical Print shirt with white pants. Hahaha!

I’ve had these Bandolino Navy Slip-On Loafers for over a year, and they still look great. These leather loafers are comfortable, go with everything, and are easy to wipe clean. The loafers have a lightly padded insole for added comfort, but I love the slip-on style. I am not a fan of having to buckle shoes; I would rather slip my feet in and go out the door. These shoes run true to size, and I am wearing my usual size 9.

I hope that you liked this outfit featuring these Spring New Arrival pieces. I want to give a big thank you to Appleseed’s for this sponsored post. Hi Tania,
I have followed your blog for a few years and really love a lot of the clothes you show us. The clothing from Appleseed really appeals to me but every time you show clothing from them I can’t access their website. When I click on an item all I get is ‘Access denied’. Not sure if it is a problem with the link or the company or the fact I live in a different country. I’d appreciate any help you could give me.

Kenzie, I’m glad that you like the clothing that I style from Appleseed’s. I’m sure the reason that your getting that message is because they don’t sell in the country you live in.
